There's no way I could narrow this down to 2. By any measure (who stops things from getting done the most, who's the most corrupt, or just who has been there too long) the list is too long and too top-heavy to narrow down to 2.

I think that's what makes it challenging. By naming two people, you indirectly will accept the others. The lessers of the bigger evil.

I mean, we can't always have everything we want, right?

Man, this is tough. I'm vacillating between what you and mgh put down. If you asked me pre-2015, I'd say Ted Cruz and Hillary Clinton. Ted has taken up more of a vassal status since then, though.

Now, if I had to choose, I'd say Trump and Pelosi.

Taylor Green. I like about half of what she says, but the other half is a bit right on my opinion. There is a way to get the message out without being divisive.

As for Dems...I'll admit there is a fairly long list, and this guy isn't even all that far left, but Chuck Schumer is a guy I'd like to shake. There is something about his attitude I just don't like.

I get that it's a fun mental exercise, but just so many of our elected officials are so awful in so many different ways, instead of the list getting shorter I just keep cycling names in and out and going in circles.

IF I had to send a dem not named Manchin or Sinema to the curb, it would be Maxine Waters. The Republican I would most like to see go that is not a MAGA head would be McConnell. Liz Cheney knows that the Jan. 6 riot was wrong all riots are wrong. But Trump did not provoke that riot in anyway beside bad rhetoric. If we start holding politicians accountable for bad rhetoric then quite a few Dems should be in jail for the BLM riots and the rhetoric that came from their mouths that almost cost a SC justice his life. What she is doing trying to give legitimacy to Jan 6 committee is despicable. Do I think there will ever be enough proof that the 2020 election was stolen, No. But, I do believe with all my heart that it was. I still condemn those that rioted. But understand the frustration of an election stolen by mail in ballots in 5 or 6 Democratic controlled cities.

I think there should be term limits at 24 years.

There has not been 1 factual piece of evidence that came out just trying to connect rhetoric to what happened. As far as the big lie. I believe they cheated. Yes, I do and will always believe that. I believe that any time their is mail in balloting without checks and balances in place there will cheating. I know and understand the election will never be overturned and it should not be overturned. At this point the focus should be on how to properly have a honest and fair election so we don't end up like a communist country which is where I see us heading.

Mail in voting has been going on in some states for decades with no problems. It's just a shell game that was played and you have bought into it. I'm not going to continue this on this thread.

Over 60 court cases and even trump's hand pointed AG, Barr have told you and proven time and time again the election wasn't stolen. That's what I mean. After everything that has been proven to debunk this BS, people such as yourself still believe it. There's really not much left to said. All you can really do is laugh at it. We had an honest and fair election. The courts, trump's own AG and many debunked conspiracy theories have been proven to be lies. Some people just refuse to believe the truth.

I was going to say, most in the MAGA segment are beta males. Enablers. They wouldn't know what to do if they were actually given the reins. McConnell knows exactly what he's doing and will achieve his goal at any cost.

Have you never mailed in a ballot? there are signatures that have to be written on the envelope, but ballots have to remain anonymous by law.

So there are checks and balances.

You can formulate what ifs all day long, but mail service has been pretty reliable.

There is no way I would only get rid of two. What would make more of a difference is to take away lobbyist power to buy off politicians, get rid of their ability to use insider trading, and force them into term limits.

Right now they are ALL paid off and corrupt no matter what party they are from.

I remember a day that doesn't seem like all that long ago....but, given my advanced age perhaps it is a long time ago......that the left was far more open-minded than the right and encouraged open discussions. The right shouted down opposing opinions. Ridiculed the left. Assigned labels to the left. Had a my way or the highway mindset.

That was back in the day. Today, the left is the group that resorts to insults, ganging-up and ridiculing opposing ideas, digressing to narrow-minded thinking.

I hated the right for their attitudes back in the day and I have grown to detest the left today for the very same reasons the right turned me off back in the day.

Perhaps one fine day, folks will become more accepting of opposing opinions? Perhaps folks will practice tolerance? Perhaps folks will finally understanding that far greater good can be accomplished if we work together rather than widen the divide.

Debate can happen over facts. The vote was clean. Those are the facts. You can’t have debate with someone that flat denies the election results. Delusion can’t be debated.

Your opinion seems to mirror a lot of people's. There's only one flaw. People can discuss different opinions. The problem occurs when people try to invent their own set of facts. People get sick of others trying to create an alternative reality. We saw what that creates on January 6th. We see it in our schools where people don't even want our children to learn all of our history because it isn't pretty. They wish to continue a whitewashed version of history that hides the truth from our children. They wish to install Christian nationalism as law in our nation.

At some point people either have to stand up or sit down. And sitting down is how we got here.

But that doesn't play well with the victimhood crowd bro. Nothing can ever look bad on them, remember?
