While losing Greedy is unquestionably a bad thing, it doesn’t hurt all that much because of the depth at the position.

The Conklin situation is concerning. We have already replaced our center who had the 2nd highest pass blocking grade according to PFF w/a guy who had one of the worst pass blocking grades. Not having Conklin could dramatically change things.

I wouldn't be as concerned with Conklin if Hubbard wasn't also on the list. If it turns out neither can play Sunday that's a huge hit. Luckily often times being listed as questionable ends up meaning nothing. We can at least hope that's the case here.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

I think Emerson showed some physical tools to project as a decent player, whether or not it is in the immediate we’ll find out

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Generally, yes... but both are finishing up long-term rehabs from season-ending injuries.

Hubbard being questionable is a concern too, I hope Hudson has developed some. Carolina is suspect up the middle on runs, I hope we exploit that. I just hope Stephanski doesn't do what he did when Conklin went down against the Steelers. He left Hudson on an island against Watt for way too long, before giving him help. Carolina has some good edge guys, but I don't think their defense is that good.

Any new word on Conklin?

I noticed in the Browns recent history that some starting players got injured on the first snap they lined up for.
If an injured player can go in for one snap and then go off with an injury, then the Team they play for can list them as able to go, which may have some analytic to keep the opponent from practicing the exploiting of the weakness of the 2nd stringer at that position.

Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

Man that sucks. Huge question marks at both the RT and C positions going into this game.

Not saying he isn't correct but if there isn't anything to report, create news.

Having Hudson start is not good

Deshaun Watson is suspended at least eleven, game one, OUT so the BiG TRADE
will yet to pay any dividends.
Jacoby Brissett, or others, will have to be the Back up super hero, to the suspended Watson.

Be Bullish on Hudson. He's right at that point of his career, where he can show up and play well
PLUS
The team probably knew all off season, that if Hudson has to start the opener, that they prepared for Hudson to start the opener.

This could mean trouble, especially since we went from having a great pass blocking center to a terrible pass blocking center.

I hope Hudson hit the weight room and developed a quick snap reaction since last year.
