Again, we’re reaching the point of our games being meaningless in terms of W/L .. but there aren’t many good games on the slate this week. It’s tough for me to think the Giants AND Jets are both good lol, but here we are
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Where we are at right now is technically salvageable, but I'd say that we're already at, or past, the point of games being meaningless. We could literally just shift focus to The Draft at this point and not be wrong.
Browns is the Browns
... there goes Joe Thomas, the best there ever was in this game.

I agree. I thought losing to the chargers was kinda the end truthfully.

Eotab has health issues and isn't always here to post. You know what else is "bad"? Constantly decorating this place with bs calling out other posters... particularly for having a positive attitude.

I dont follow the saints much, but having Dalton start over Winston doesn’t make sense.
Other news: CMC traded to the Niners .. wow

When I stopped watching in the first half, Dalton had thrown 3 INTS, 2 of which were pick 6's.

Denver just ruled out Wilson. It’ll be interesting to see how they look without him

Miami came out hot, but Pittsburgh got its footing. Pickett is gaining some confidence and has playmakers around him

That throw Pickett made on 4th down was money. We haven't had a QB that would have thrown that ball in a long time and he's in his 2nd or 3rd game ever.

He also had 3 INT, which I have thought would be his issue all along. He has 7 in 4 games.

Miami prevails, though they really bogged down the last half of the game. Tua isn’t someone who passes my eye test for long term success … his lack of arm strength means he has to be perfect in every other aspect

Observations from parts of other games that I saw:
--The Giants/Jags game was entertaining. Hard fought game that came down just 1 yard short of winning the game. Daboll has really helped Daniel Jones. Barkley is playing like his old self. Their D is pretty aggressive. The Jags have some talent and Lawrence is improving.
--KC and SF was a hard fought game and then the Chiefs just poured it on at the end. They are really good. Makes you think just how good Buffalo is. The OL for the 49ers is looking bad, especially the RT.
--The Jets are 5 and 2. They won in Denver despite losing multiple starters, including the incredible Breece Hall.
--Seattle w/a surprising win. They are better off w/out Russ cooking.
--Somehow, Carolina beat Tampa Bay w/a 3rd string qb and right after trading away their best player. TB is looking bad right now. Lost to the Steelers and Panthers in consecutive weeks.
--Similarly, Green Bay loses to the lowly Commanders and their back-up qb. The Packers OL has been playing poorly and their receivers are crap.

It certainly seems like Brady and that offense are cooked. They can’t even muster a drive for weeks at a time

I didn't watch much of the Cinci/ATL game, but Burrow for 481 yards while completing 34 of 42 passes. He also ran for another TD. I think I heard they were in Shotgun the entire game. That sounds hard to believe.

That sounds hard to believe. Burrow had 355 at HALFTIME. that's insane.but supposedly he is over rated. The Falcons stayed in zone the whole game.the Bengals 3rd WR Had 155 yds, that being Tyler Boyd. Burrow got sacked.but it acted like it didn't phase him. 2nd and 19..no problem. Hit Higgins for 15.then Hurst for a 1st Down. Cincys defense yet again didnt allow a 2nd half TD.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

And I think his lack of OL played a role this year … AND the fact that I think he really didn’t want to come back either

It certainly seems like Brady and that offense are cooked. They can’t even muster a drive for weeks at a time Funny when Brady left the Pats and had immediate success with the Bucs, a lot of people said, "See, it was Brady more than Belichick".... Brady went to a good team with Bruce Arians, a proven veteran coach, Belichick had to start over at QB.... Well Arians left and they now have an unproven Todd Bowles at HC, and Belichick seems to have the Patriots headed in the right direction.. So maybe it's not a cut and dry, this or that one is the most important.. maybe it takes a bunch of pieces that all work together.

Pats should win tonight with little trouble. Justin Fields is a young QB still learning and we all know what BB does with QB's like that.

Eo's "What I saw" threads are my favorite to read after games. An excellent compliment to the highly emotional "post game" threads There is at least some good game observation in those threads. Usually, the thread takes a day or two to mature.. and posts are less about 'booze-fueled loss angst' and more about the actual game. Post-Game thread after a loss is almost indigestible.

First I'd like to say I was dead wrong with my prediction of tonight's Bears- Pats game. Glad I was good for the bears!! Secondly, I'd like to say how jealous I am of the Bears winning like they did and wish we could have a game just like that against somebody, ANYBODY!!!! at this point!!!! WE almost never play a game like that against anybody.

They really dominated the line of scrimmage and the 3rd down success rate was unreal

The Bears/Patriots game was a lesson in just how hard it is to win each week in the NFL. There are literally no gimmes.
