BALTIMORE -- Struggling second-year receiver Anthony Schwartz is among the Browns inactives Sunday in Baltimore.
Jadeveon Clowney, who was expected to return from his ankle injury, is active and will try to help contain Lamar Jackson.
Schwartz, who went 0-3 on targets against the Patriots last week with a couple of late drops, is 1-for-6 overall this season with a 19-yard catch against the Panthers.
Schwartz, the Browns third-round pick last year out of Auburn, might now sit out a few games while he works on his game and his confidence. The Browns can definitely use his blazing speed, but he’s not even an effective decoy if he can’t catch the ball.
Schwartz in the preseason opener in Jacksonville, but bounced back and looked like he might have gotten over the hump. Instead, he’s continued to struggle and has been a liability at times. Rookie Michael Woods II will likely get more reps in the absence of Schwartz. He made his Browns debut last week and caught one of his two targets for 15 yards. He’ll likely get at least 10 reps again this week.
All told, the Browns three young receivers -- David Bell, Schwartz and Woods -- have combined for a total of eight receptions this season, and the Browns must get more production from this group.
Second-year receiver receiver Demetric Felton is also active this week to return punts in place of Chester Rogers, who muffed one at the end of last week’s 38-15 loss to the Patriots.
There were no other surprises among the Browns inactives. Denzel Ward (concussion) and Wyatt Teller (calf) had already been ruled out, and Clowney was already expected to play.
Other inactives are Kellen Mond, Joe Haeg, Chris Hubbard and Isaac Rochell.

Yes and DT and nothing was done about it. Our FO is trying now but it's probably too late. I'd try and sign some guys off of other teams PS to see what I can get. We might get lucky for once.
