Georgia better have a ZERO percent chance of getting in.

Same with Kansas.

Va Tech got HAMMERED by LSU.

It's LSU or Oklahoma if they win.

This could be the end of the BCS. What a freakin mess.

Well, I'm just going off the fact that Georgia was no. 4 in the latest BCS poll.

They're not going to repeat the Nebraska fiasco. A team that doesn't win their conference better not get in when there's going to be an SEC champion and a Big 12 champion with 2 losses as well. USC is there also, maybe playing the best football of any team in the country.

This is the weirdest year for top 5 teams that I can ever recall.

Oh well .... bring on another BCS Championship game!

It is a mess with both teams to play(as it stands right now) backing into the game.

Any way you cut it, it is balled up and shows what a joke this system is.

I agree.....Georgia won't get in....any other week of the season, they would move to #2.

It is the BS Championship.

It is going to be interesting to hear the egg heads explain this.

Peen,

How the hell are they going to decide this is my question?

The Pac-10, SEC, ACC and Big 12 champ will all have 2 losses. Each team has a questionable (or blowout) loss.

Flip a coin?

The talking heads are saying it will probably be LSU.

At this point they should just say **** it and put Hawaii in the National Title game. With all these teams completely blowing it, why not reward the one team who hasn't?

What? It has nothing to do with Ohio State.

In a season where everyone has screwed up, maybe reward the only team who hasn't. That's all I'm saying.

It's a shame that the run for the national title game is a battle of who sucks the least.

OSU will play LSU. Bank on it.

I LOVE OSU, but LSU is the 1 team I did not want to play this season.

I'm happy we are in, but as much as I hate to say it, LSU is better than us.

I will root them on though, and you never know with the way this season has gone. I will guarantee Tressel will have us better prepared than last season however.

GO BUCKS!!!

It was not a dig. I know you are a buckeye fan and I am one two. I just wondered how strongly you felt about that.

I know personally I would be pretty upset if Hawaii made it in over a one loss ohio state. It was more a question of how do you think it , would feel to other BCS schools who are mostly likely better.

Oklahoma, the way they're playing right now is making a solid case, too. That team scares me more than LSU.

My guess is that Ohio State will play LSU, and LSU will beat Ohio State.

Overall though this does show the major flaws in the BCS but I don't forsee a change anytime soon, because no one can come up with a solid playoff system.

If college football keeps going the way there going to they are going to kill NCAA football just like they killed NCAA basketball, one is already a joke and another one is geting ready to follow the same route, just in a different way, but the outcome will be the same.

Sad, but major college sports continue to shoot themselves in the foot by creating silly systems and player rules. It's getting similar to boxing because it's hard for them to make solid clear cut decisions.

No, I wasn't saying put Hawaii in over Ohio State. I was saying why not put Hawaii in to play OSU? At this point, with WVU and Missouri losing, everyone else has completely blown it in one way or another.

wow...

i like LSU over OSU in a 1 score game...basically a home game for the Bayou Bengals...

(BTW, i chuckled when it took Mark May about 12 seconds into his analysis to predict that LSU's speed would be too much for OSU)...

I hadn't thought of the fact that it was in New Orleans. That just isn't fair, talk about home field advantage on what is supposed to be a neutral site.

I, honest to god, think Hawaii can beat anyone in the country. The spread offense is such a great equalizer and no one runs it as good as Brennan.

College football is really starting to sour on me. The BCS just SUCKS. It's the only sport in which a team can go undefeated and have someone TELL them they're not good enough to play for the national title. I just don't understand how this can even slide with fans? or how it's even fair to schools like Hawaii. It's just a joke anymore that a team can't prove it on the field.

Then some good will have come out it. The BCS needs blowing up.

I am glad the Buckeyes will get a title shot, but I still think the so-called "+2" system is needed. That's where the 4 New Years Day / BCS bowl games get played and are followed by 2 more weeks of football to decide a true champ. I was talking to a non-Buckeye fan recently and he said " the only time OSU fans want a playoff is when the Buckeyes aren't #1 or #2.". Well, I'm a huge Buckeye fan and I still think NCAA football needs an 8 team playoff.

Oh, and just for the record, I think LSU and USC are the 2 best teams in the country. O-State is #3 or #4, IMO.

that's garbage, most buckeye fans that i know all say that there needs to be a playoff... regardless of whether or not they are in the top 2....

another dumb assumption by people that just dislike ohio state...

there are a boatload of ohio state fans on this board, and in the few years i've been around here, i don't think i've ever heard someone say that they like the bcs...

One of two things need to happen IMO

They go to some kind of playoff or make conference championship games mandatory for every BCS conference. Something has to level it out.

I'd also be in favor of not releasing any kind of rankings (AP and coaches included) until the 6th week of the season.

Oh I got it I think you meant New Orleans?

If so don't you think that wording was uncalled for? I mean your making fun of an area of this country that was almost completely destroyed by a natural disater, yes they might speak with a draw and use words differently but I don't think that was appropriate. Now I really hope LSU makes it and get's to play for their community, they could use the good vibes still to this day, I hope they make it and wish them the best if they do and will root for them to win. They can use the happiness with all the problems Katrina caused that whole area.

Here's to LSU making it, and winning it! Go Tigers.

How can the BCS ditch idle #4 Georgia in favor of LSU now without admitting that their previous rankings were crapola?
