So basically, you can't name anyone else that he hung onto to long right? And that's my point,,,
I named two guys, actually. Andruzzi really had no business on an NFL roster last season, and Baxter didn't belong on one this year. You disagree with that. That's fine. I think we hung onto those guys too long, though.
Baxter was a calculated risk? I'd say hoping for a one year recovery to TWO torn patellar tendons is a pipe dream, not a risk. I'm no doctor, but I do know that it is completely unprecedented in the NFL, and guys struggle to make a one year recovery from one pataller tendon tear, let alone two.
Much respect to ya, even if you wish me the opposite...

I understand giving Baxter a shot...but he should have been left on PUP in Training Camp.
TW was done last year...Andruzzi the year before that.
Carthon was so done, he never even got started.
RAC has demonstrated that he will hold on to vets too long...whether that's a big problem is up for personal opinion.
Mine? Yep...he makes weird roster decisions that I don't agree with...but I'm an Accountant and not an employee of an NFL team.

Yet against all odds, Baxter was walking by January with the help of devices, by March he was walking without a noticable limp and running by training camp,, all things that would make you believe that he could do it. Couple that with the doctors and the player himself telling you can do it,,
It may be unheard of to come back from something like that. God knows, it must have been a hell of a year of rehab on Baxters part. But given todays modern medicine,, Nothing seems impossible.,,.
Who would have thought that Edwards would have come back in less than a year from his knee injury.. Most superfans on this board (well actually on the other board) swore that KW2 was done.. Anything is possible... so yes, I'm sticking with the calculated risk!

There is one thing I have noticed, and I have said this before and I probably need to repeat it. When Bodden makes a big INT to seal the win he is the hero, but if he makes a mistake he is the goat. People, have pointed out that he got beat on the fade route. The TRUTH in case your wondering is this. He played that play exactly as he was suppose to it was a perfect pass. Ever heard the term, you can't beat a perfect route, and a perfect pass? Well thats what happened.
To understand what actually happened you have to understand what LB responsiblity was and what the down and distance was. It was 1st and goal to goal from the 1 or 2 yard line. LB was to push his man to the outside to maintain leverage and postion for run support he did this perfectly, and was beatin by a perfect pass. But folks leave that part out. As I said people just react with their emotions not their brains, and certainly not their knowledge of the game.
Said this before too, if RAC thought he had a better option or a player that was better able to play the position, that player would be playing. I tell all this if you think LB will be taken down because he got beatin on that fade route you would be wrong. As I said he played it perfect.
Yes he made a bonehead play, and as I said he knows it. Ever make a mistake, yourselfs? Ever kick your own ass over that mistake? Bet thats what LB has been doing. He has been a pretty good player for the Browns, he has health issue, and yes he isn't playing his best ball. He still is gutting it out and giving everything he has got, to try to help the team. When a better player presents himself RAC will play that guy.
You don't have to lecture me. I didn't think of Leigh as the hero with those interceptions and I neither did I think he's an idiot for the fade route.
All except for his punting the ball, I don't look at any one, specific instance of his game. The problem is that, generally, he's been doing bad this year.
With Wright healthy this week, we may see Leigh go to the fourth spot. JMHO.
