And firing season begins.
Hackett fired after one year. 3 years remaining on his contract at $4M/year. $12M not to have coach. Not bad!

It makes me wonder why the guy that decided to pay a kings ransom to bring Russell Wilson to Denver still has a job.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Great work if you can find it! Many of us might do it for half of that amount. That is one GOLDEN parachute, that is.

Russel Wilson I only watched him play for five min. last year and you could pretty much tell he was done, because he had no more pocket presence or and or looked like he couldn't respond to any kind of a blitz/pressure even normal pressure on the outside and picked up. But I haven't watched him for any minutes this year, i'll take you alls word for it that he is done, which I kind of could already tell.
Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

Wilson, Watson, Baker (Carolina), Trubiski, and Ryan all look terrible this year.
Smith is the only one who looks good thos year.
Baker is looking good on the Rams.
Hunter + Dart = This is the way.

The NFL memo to teams about avoiding firing coaches/FO people before the end of their contract probably won’t be very effective lol
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

If you're going to fire ANYONE for this years results, why wouldn't that be the person who brought Wilson to Denver? But as we've seen in the NFL for a very long time now, everyone needs a scapegoat.

Lovie sticking it to 'em. Awesome.
Congrats on that McNair money for the remainder of your contract terms. Now, the Texans can hire McCown like they always wanted to do.

That is a problem if the scapegoat wasn't responsible for a bulk of the problems. I am not saying it was or wasn't as being applied to Denver, Cleveland, or any other team. I am just saying that being the scapegoat, or called such might not be the reality. Sometimes that is the primary reason.

That made me laugh out loud about how Lovie stuck it to the racist Texan organization. Everyone knew he was one and done just like last year's coach. What was his name? David Culver or Culley? Something like that.

To me you never know who is going to be the best guy. Considering there are probably going to be multiple players who are going to be at least good, I'd probably stand pat. Maybe even trade down a few slots depending on who is drafting before the pick I would get.
I have come to the conclusion that you don't need the best, you just need very good.

But the Bears can sell that pick to a team that wants Young.
The Texans will settle for Stroud, which isn’t a bad consolation prize

Man, Bryce Young is 6'0" and 194 lbs. I would be extremely leary of investing the #1 overall pick in a short and skinny guy.

The Texans will settle for Stroud, which isn’t a bad consolation prize Honestly there are a few solid QB prospects coming out - Stroud and Young being the top of that list. But man, next year I think Caleb Williams is going to be head and shoulders better than anyone in this draft class. jmo and it could change, but Williams really impressed the hell out of me.
The more things change the more they stay the same.

Seems like Denver is leaning defensive-minded so far....

And Kingsbury just signed a 5 year contract extension. He's getting paid not to coach for 4 years. ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](https://i.imgur.com/eLFPSLC.jpg)

Kingsbury was pretty much a guarantee IMO. They need a reset
