New York CNN — Rupert Murdoch, the chairman of Fox Corporation, acknowledged in a deposition taken by Dominion Voting Systems that some Fox News hosts endorsed false claims that the 2020 election was stolen. Murdoch’s remarks were made public in a legal filing as part of Dominion’s $1.6 billion lawsuit against Fox News. In his deposition, Murdoch rejected that the right-wing talk network as an entity endorsed former President Donald Trump’s election lies. But Murdoch conceded that Sean Hannity, Jeanine Pirro, Maria Bartiromo, and former host Lou Dobbs promoted the falsehood about the presidential contest being stolen. “Some of our commentators were endorsing it,,” Murdoch said, according to the filing, when asked about the talk hosts’ on-air positions about the election. “I would have liked us to be stronger in denouncing it, in hindsight,” he added. The filing also revealed that Murdoch referred to some of Trump’s 2020 election lies as “bulls**t and damaging.” Fox calls Dominion lawsuit ‘dubious’ In a Monday statement, Fox News assailed Dominion. “Dominion’s lawsuit has always been more about what will generate headlines than what can withstand legal and factual scrutiny,” the network said, “as illustrated by them now being forced to slash their fanciful damages demand by more than half a billion dollars after their own expert debunked its implausible claims.” “Their summary judgment motion took an extreme, unsupported view of defamation law that would prevent journalists from basic reporting and their efforts to publicly smear Fox for covering and commenting on allegations by a sitting President of the United States should be recognized for what it is: a blatant violation of the First Amendment,” the network added. Fox on Monday defended the actions of executives and hosts during the 2020 election in its own legal filings countering Dominion Voting Systems’ lawsuit. Fox alleged that its hosts’ on-air assertions about election fraud were taken out of context. Fox says it should not be held liable for the hosts’ claims. “Dominion’s summary judgment motion is flawed from top to bottom and should be rejected in its entirety,” lawyers for Fox News wrote in its filing Monday. Fox Corporation said in its filing that Dominion “has produced zero evidentiary support for its dubious theory that high-level executives at Fox Corporation ‘chose to publish and broadcast’ or played a ‘direct role in the creation and publication’ of false election lies.” Fox hosts ridicule election fraud claims In another filing made public earlier this month, a trove of messages and emails from the most prominent stars and highest-ranking executives at Fox News showed they had privately ridiculed claims of election fraud in the 2020 election, despite the right-wing channel promoting lies about the presidential contest on its air. The messages showed that Tucker Carlson, Sean Hannity, and Laura Ingraham brutally mocked lies being pushed by former President Donald Trump’s camp asserting that the election was rigged. The court filings have offered the most vivid picture to date of the chaos that transpired behind the scenes at Fox News after Trump lost the election and viewers rebelled against the right-wing channel for accurately calling the contest in Biden’s favor. Top legal experts told CNN after last week’s filing that Dominion’s legal position appeared strong. “It’s a major blow,” renowned First Amendment attorney Floyd Abrams said of Dominion’s motion for a summary judgment, adding that the “recent revelations certainly put Fox in a more precarious situation” in defending against the lawsuit on First Amendment grounds. Rebecca Tushnet, the Frank Stanton Professor of First Amendment Law at Harvard Law School, described Dominion’s evidence as a “very strong” filing that “clearly lays out the difference between what Fox was saying publicly and what top people at Fox were privately admitting.” Tushnet said that in her years of practicing and teaching law, she had never seen such damning evidence collected in the pre-trial phase of a defamation suit. “I don’t recall anything comparable to this,” Tushnet said. “Donald Trump seems to be very good at generating unprecedented situations.” Murdoch said it was ‘wrong’ for Tucker Carlson to host election conspiracy theorist Mike Lindell In his deposition, Murdoch also said that it was “wrong” for Fox’s Tucker Carlson to have hosted election conspiracy theorist Mike Lindell on his program following the presidential election. Murdoch testified it was “wrong for Tucker to host Mike Lindell to repeat those allegations against Dominion on January 26th, 2021,” the documents said. When asked why he continued to allow Lindell, the MyPillow CEO, to make election fraud claims on Fox News, Murdoch said it was a business decision. “It is not red or blue, it is green,” Murdoch replied, according to the court documents. “The man is on every night. Pays us a lot of money…” Murdoch said. “At first you think it’s comic, and then you get bored and irritated.” Murdoch also said he could have stopped Rudy Giuliani and Sidney Powell, former lawyers for President Trump and his campaign who alleged election fraud, from appearing on the network’s programs, the filing said. “I could have. But I didn’t,” Murdoch said. Paul Ryan warned Murdochs, Fox to stop spreading false election narratives Court documents Monday showed that Paul Ryan repeatedly warned Murdoch and Fox News of the dangerous effects that discussing false election fraud narratives on air would have with viewers. Ryan, the former House speaker and a Fox Corporation board member, repeatedly told Rupert and Fox Corporation CEO Lachlan Murdoch that the company “should not be spreading conspiracy theories.” On at least one occasion, Ryan advised the Murdochs that the company should “move on from Donald Trump and stop spouting election lies.” During this time, Ryan told the Murdochs that many of those who thought the election had been stolen did so “because they got a diet of information telling them the election was stolen from what they believe were credible sources.” “The sooner we can put down the echoes of falsehoods from our side, the faster we can get onto principled loyal opposition,” Ryan wrote to Rupert. “I truly hope our contributors, along with Tucker, Laura, and Sean get that and execute.” Rupert responded to Ryan, noting that “everything changed” following the events of January 6, 2021, and asked the former speaker turned Fox executive for suggestions for contributors. Murdoch gave Kushner ‘confidential information’ about Biden ads Also revealed in Dominion’s filing, Rupert Murdoch gave Jared Kushner, son-in-law of former President Donald Trump, “confidential information about [President Joe] Biden’s ads, along with debate strategy” in 2020, “providing Kushner a preview of Biden’s ads before they were public,” the court filing states. Murdoch, under oath, also said that on election night, Kushner called him upset about the media’s coverage of the election that was ultimately called for Biden. Murdoch testified that Kushner said, “this is terrible” and Murdoch could “hear Trump’s voice in the background shouting.” Murdoch said he replied, “Well, the numbers are the numbers.” According to the filing, Murdoch said that he believed no fraud had occurred in the election. “Yes. I mean, we thought everything was on the up-and-up. I think that was shown when we announced Arizona,” Murdoch said, referring to Fox News’ projection on election night that Joe Biden would win the critical battleground state. A Kushner spokesperson did not immediately respond to a CNN request for comment. https://www.cnn.com/2023/02/27/media/dominion-fox-news/index.html

Trump Loses It Over Murdoch’s Admission About Fox Hosts Endorsing Big Lie Donald Trump is furious with his former ally Rupert Murdoch after the media mogul made astonishing admissions that some of his Fox News hosts “endorsed” lies that the 2020 election had been “stolen.” Murdoch, 91, also said in a deposition unsealed on Monday that he wished his organization had been “stronger in denouncing” the false narrative that the election was rigged by corrupt voting machines. Dominion Voting Systems is suing Fox News for $1.6 billion over the issue—but the network denies defamation. “Why is Rupert Murdoch throwing his anchors under the table, which also happens to be killing his case and infuriating his viewers, who will again be leaving in droves—they already are,” Trump fumed on his Truth Social platform on Tuesday. “There is MASSIVE evidence of voter fraud & irregularities in the 2020 Presidential Election,” Trump continued, pointing to Dinesh D’Souza’s conspiracy film 2000 Mules as evidence. https://www.thedailybeast.com/trump...8RBJs91xTvwo9bQzgFlSl_ZCIDaaTbQGZB4-V-qw

Just to be clear, what seems to be happening here is that FOX News played all of it's listeners and knew they were doing it. But because it brought in the big bucks, they just went with it anyways.
The MAGA crowd got played and are still being played by Newsmax, OANN and a few others.
If you are an election denier, you got played. Hows that feel?
I mean, it's not like you weren't warned that this was coming.. Geez...

That's what he said. Yet when you allow your network to spread election lies which helped fuel Jan. 6th, in the end it did turn out to be a red issue. Blood red.

Interesting how McCarthy still gave access to exclusive rights of the Jan 6th insurrection video footage to this fake and now compromised 24hr news channel. And now Tucker Carson has given defendants of the insurrection the footage. If any other mainstream media personality did this their heads would roll out the door.

Of course not. The taste of crow is horrid.
Just think about it tho, the very people that attacked the capitol now have access of footage inside the capitol building that effectively creates a national security breach. And can now be used by bad actors to attack again. trump got them to do it once, why wouldn’t he try again?

Adam Schiff went on TV a hundred times to tell everyone he had "proof" of Russiagate an elected official. Don't know about Schiff but as for Proof, there was proof. Mueller found it and said he could nail trump with it. But Bill Barr stuffed it.. In fact, Barr has admitted doing so. You appear to be down playing this just like all MAGA's do with everything dumb thing Trump and his minions do.. Next you are going to try and tell me that Jan 6 was a peaceful demonstration that got a little out of hand?

Adam Schiff went on TV a hundred times to tell everyone he had "proof" of Russiagate an elected official. Because he did, and if not for Barr's lies about the Mueller Report and the traitorous Senate GOPers throwing democracy under the bus, Trump would have been impeached, removed, and tried for espionage. You will never convince me that Trump and Bannon aren't in bed with Putin. But you can put your head as far in the sand as you want; that's up to you. When will people finally get that Trump was a con man running his game from the highest office in the land? And why aren't GOPers mad about all the congressional GOPers who took PPP loans for hundreds of thousands to millions and never had to repay them? I know that infuriates me. Even Trump took those massive loans while he signed $1200 chump change checks and then got GOPers to cry about the "Biden" handouts! But right-wing media whips people up, muddies the waters, and keeps you fighting over lies and schemes Trumpo pulled to stay in power and enrich himself. When he finally goes to a criminal trial, if they actually prosecute, watch him raise money for his defense again. The dude is supposed to be a multi-billionaire; watch and see him beg for money. And before you start bashing me on Dems taking those loans, too, I know they did. But the only one I know for sure took millions is Manchin. I think many of those were BS too, but not as blatant as the outright pocket-stuffing by the likes of MGT and GATES. And then they have the gall to cry about student loan forgiveness. Watching the GOP right now is a comedy of errors, but not Shakespeare.

Here's a question.. Murdoch admits to his Network lying. No games. He admitted it.
Hannity, Barteromo and Carlson peddled false stories, lies, misleading comments. Murdoch admitted it.
So, Why are they still employed by Fox?
The other day, Hannity was confronted by a caller into his show. The guy pointed out to Hannity that he lied to his listeners and of course, Hannity came back with no he didn't. Yet, the videos of him doing so are EVERYWHERE.
Why is he still employed? Does Murdoch not care about truth?
So Rupert buddy pal... WHY?

Didn't really feel a new thread was needed for this. But it goes from FOX News to Trump attorneys. More lies admitted to.... Former Trump lawyer censured for falsehoods about election DENVER (AP) — Jenna Ellis, a former attorney for Donald Trump ’s reelection campaign and a prominent conservative media figure, has been censured by Colorado legal officials after admitting she made repeated false statements about the 2020 presidential election. Ellis acknowledged making 10 “misrepresentations” on television and Twitter during Trump’s fight to stay in power after losing the 2020 election to President Joe Biden, according to the censure from the office of attorney regulation counsel in Colorado, where Ellis is from. The statements include claiming on Jeanine Pirro’s Fox News show on Dec. 5, 2020 that “we have over 500,000 votes (in Arizona) that were cast illegally” and telling the conservative network Newsmax on Dec. 15 that Trump was “the true and proper victor.” On November 20, 2020, Ellis appeared on the Newsmax show of former Trump spokesman Sean Spicer and said: “with all those states (Nevada, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Georgia) combined we know that the election was stolen from President Trump and we can prove that.” Ellis was one of several prominent conservative voices who, in the final weeks of 2020, echoed Trump’s lies that the election was stolen from him. Those falsehoods helped fuel the attack on the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. “Respondent, through her conduct, undermined the American public’s confidence in the presidential election, violating her duty of candor to the public,” wrote Bryon M. Large, the disciplinary judge in the case. Ellis becomes the latest pro-Trump attorney penalized for their attempts to overturn the 2020 election. Nine lawyers in Michigan in 2021 were ordered to pay $175,000 in sanctions for a sham suit seeking to overturn the election in that swing state. The District of Columbia’s bar association disciplinary counsel in December called for the suspension of former New York Mayor Rudolph Giuliani’s law license for pursuing a baseless lawsuit challenging Biden’s win in Pennsylvania. Ellis is based in Washington, DC, but is from Colorado and has also practiced in the state. Through her attorney, Michael Melito, she stipulated to both the findings that she’d made misrepresentations and the censure. Melito did not immediately respond to a request for comment. https://apnews.com/article/donald-t...sehoods-fd6d72667a1f3bd01cd2249747bbbd85

Which amplifies the point I've been making for years: any person who intimately aligns him or herself with Donald Trump, does so at the risk of criminal investigation/prosecution. This is not because of some vast conspiracy involving dozens of State and Federal law enforcement entities. It's because he requires his hires to do criminal things on his behalf. I have been saying this for more than a decade: he's a scofflaw by nature. Lie down with him, and his flea infestation will become your own. Tally up the list of high-profile folks closely attached to him who 1. are now facing legal issues 2. have faced legal issues 3. have just barely escaped serious legal consequences 4. are currently trying to avoid facing America's Legal Standards, and the number is- *ahem* -noteworthy: Rick Gates Paul Manafort Michael Cohen George Papadopoulos Roger Stone Michael Flynn Steve Bannon Alan Weisselberg. This man pleaded guilty to 15 felonies in service of Asterisk 45's private interests, over decades of service. It is not a coincidence that the man from this list most intimately/long-term associated with @RealDonaldTrump is currently the man in the deepest (very serious) legal trouble. Years ago, he made a calculated professional decision to lie down in bed with someone whom he knew was infested with fleas. He's now reaping the expected consequences that come from a lifetime of multiple flea bites. This Jenna woman is the most recent acolyte to now drag Donald Trump's 'aroma' with her into her future. She spent significantly less time in his orbit than others previously mentioned, but nonetheless, his stink has seeped into the fibers of every one of her 'Strong Woman' Power Suits. There is no running from him now. My God. By now, this D00d's stench of failure, corruption, and moral/ethical decay should be easily detectable by even the dullest of us. And yet, there exists folk who still can't/won't see this dude for the social disease he has always been. Look at the evidence. Those who are closest to him glow the brightest when when the U.V. Luminol Stick is waved over them. A person doesn't have to be anti-Republican to be anti-Trump. A person doesn't have to be pro-Dem to be anti-Trump. That's been my view, all along. That said, If you are a Republican (or Democrat or anything else) who insists upon remaining pro-Trump, then trust me: I'm most definitely anti-you. .02

Fox News producer alleges network coerced her into giving misleading testimony on Dominion A producer at the network alleged that Fox News lawyers “coerced, intimidated, and misinformed” her as they prepared her to testify in Dominion Voting Systems’ defamation suit. A Fox News producer on Monday filed lawsuits against the network, alleging its lawyers coerced her into providing misleading testimony in the Dominion Voting Systems’ $1.6 billion defamation lawsuit against the network. The lawsuit was filed Monday night by Abby Grossberg, who worked with Fox News hosts Tucker Carlson and Maria Bartiromo, against the network in New York and Delaware. Grossberg alleged that Fox News lawyers “coerced, intimidated, and misinformed” as they prepared her to testify in Dominion Voting Systems’ defamation suit. “Ms. Grossberg left the deposition preparation sessions without knowing that by giving such false/misleading and evasive answers like the ones Fox’s legal team reacted to positively to during the prep sessions, she not only opened herself up to civil and criminal liability for perjury, but was subtly shifting all responsibility for the alleged defamation against Dominion onto her shoulders, and by implication, those of her trusted female colleague, Ms. Bartiromo, rather than the mostly male higher ups at Fox News who endorsed the repeated coverage of the lies against the Dominion,” the lawsuit said. Grossberg also alleged a “toxic workplace” culture of discrimination while working at Fox News. She claimed she was “isolated, overworked, undervalued, denied opportunities for promotion, and generally treated significantly worse than her male counterparts, even when those men were less qualified than her,” and that the network retaliated against her after she complained about the “unlawful harassment (based on her gender and Jewish religion).” Her lawsuit also claimed that she experienced “vile sexist stereotypes” and that female workers were “verbally violated on almost a daily basis by a poisonous and entrenched patriarchy.” Fox News denied Grossberg’s claims in a statement. “FOX News Media engaged an independent outside counsel to immediately investigate the concerns raised by Ms. Grossberg, which were made following a critical performance review. Her allegations in connection with the Dominion case are baseless and we will vigorously defend Fox against all of her claims,” Irena Briganti, senior executive vice president of corporate communications for Fox News Media, said. Fox News on Monday night sought a temporary restraining order against Grossberg, which the network said would prevent her from disclosing privileged information. The network argued that it would suffer “immediate irreparable harm” if the order isn’t granted. A judge has not ruled on the order yet. “Ms. Grossberg has threatened to disclose Fox’s attorney-client privileged information and we filed a temporary restraining order to protect our rights,” Briganti said in a statement. In a statement, Grossman’s lawyers, Parisis “Gerry” Filippatos and Tanvir Rahman, said their client was placed on “administrative leave” after she told the network that she was about to file these lawsuits, as alleged in her complaint. "Ms. Grossberg has refused to be silenced and bullied by Fox News, after having to endure for years what she alleges was a workplace rampant with sexism and misogyny, where men were routinely promoted over, paid more, and provided far more resources and staff than more qualified women both in front of and behind the camera," they said. "Worse, Ms. Grossberg alleges that she was manipulated and used as a pawn by Fox News’s lawyers to shift the blame for the Network’s broadcasting of false information about Dominion Voting Systems onto women like her and Maria Bartiromo, simply to protect the Network’s predominantly male higher ups who controlled the content and guests that were and were not allowed to air on the channel," they added. "Our firm is committed to vindicating Fox’s egregious violation of Ms. Grossberg’s rights." Grossberg’s lawsuit was filed a day before a key hearing in Dominion’s lawsuit against Fox News, when a Delaware judge considers whether to rule on any part of the case ahead of a jury trial. Dominion sued Fox for defamation in March 2021, alleging it caused “severe damage” by giving oxygen to conspiracy theories it knew were false, including that Dominion equipment was used to rig the 2020 election for Joe Biden, that it was tied to the late Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez and that it bribed U.S. government officials. Evidence released as part of the defamation suit earlier this month hinted at Grossberg’s work life. “I book and write all of Sunda [sic] Morning Futures alone, so know what it’s like to run lean!” she wrote in an email sent in September 2020, pressing a researcher to send her a data point. “I didn’t realize you were just as slammed as me,” she added. “Sometimes, I also just want to make sure I have the correct info and am tallying it right, since I’m the last line before air.” https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/po...1YTPPqCCZPrroO1brf6J_NtGEbyIl8ePyQHMzNrE

Lol. I hope dominion bankrupts and shuts them down. They deserve all the hell they catch for all the pain their lies have created in EVERY FAMILY IN AMERICA. They have created much of this CRAZY going on today with their outright lies in reporting. OH, I FORGOT! They are not news; they are a fictitious entertainment channel... that poisoned the minds of boomer grandpas and caused this whole Q mentality to evolve in the first place.

Start of trial in Dominion lawsuit against Fox News is delayed The trial start was moved from Monday to Tuesday, Delaware Superior Court said. Dominion is suing Fox News for saying its voting machines rigged the 2020 election. WILMINGTON, Del. — The Dominion Voting Systems defamation trial against Fox News was delayed by the court late Sunday and is now scheduled to begin Tuesday. It was not immediately clear why the court ordered the one-day delay. Delaware Superior Court Judge Eric M. Davis is expected to make an announcement about the change Monday morning, according to a statement from the court. The delay comes after a contentious week of pretrial hearings, in which Davis sanctioned Fox News for withholding evidence and admonished it for not being straightforward about Rupert Murdoch's role at Fox News. Davis ruled Dominion could conduct an additional deposition if needed, at Fox's cost. “Continuances happen for a wide variety of reasons that don’t have to do with the substance of the case, but there is at least some reason to suspect this one might be rooted in the last-minute revelations that were made at the tail end of last week and the additional investigation that the judge said Dominion could do — it could be they’re doing it," said RonNell Andersen Jones, a professor at the University of Utah College of Law who specializes in the First Amendment. Dominion says Fox News defamed it when the network broadcast baseless claims that it was tied to the late Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez, that it paid kickbacks to politicians and that its machines “rigged” the 2020 presidential election by flipping millions of votes for Donald Trump to Joe Biden. Dominion is seeking $1.6 billion in damages. Fox News denies it defamed Dominion. The rest of jury selection and opening arguments are now scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. Tuesday, the court said. Fox News and Dominion did not immediately respond to requests for comment on the delay. https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/po...hQt_cuOZzsW-7RqwqKanGJs74jp6vSlRCsTiXsp0While nothing has been publicly stated to this point by either party in this case, often times such trials are delayed when a settlement is being attempted to be reached. On April 7th FOX News reached a settlement with Venezuelan businessman, Majed Khalil, ending a defamation case where they claimed he had helped rig the 2020 election.

I don't want them to be bankrupt - that'd just set off the crazies and drive them to the fringes even more. I don't think that helps anyone in the long run. I'd like to see them have to be transparent with everything they did and said, have to apologize and repeat the apologies and admit they lied several times on each of their programs and talking heads. I'd like them to become less propaganda and more 'news'. I don't know if they can do that and keep Tucker who is the lowest of the toady low (as we have seen recently with his Jan 6th B.S. and his Trump interview shilling for Drumpf).
I'd much rather see that and have media outlets on both ends of the spectrum pull more toward the middle than to see them escalate and out do each other with spin and agenda.
The more things change the more they stay the same.

They need to reinstitute the fairness doctrine. Across all news platforms. Another abject failure of the Reagan administration. It’s been dragging the country down since he left office.

Settled for $787 Million ? Is that right?
I'm driving through rural NY state today for work - scanning radio stations to find classic rock. Alighted on a republican talk radio show and listened to the station for 90 seconds to see what the talking point of the day was ... election security and how the Right needs to make that their #1 focus for many years. How states are tightening things up which is was good news to them ... this on the day when Fox agrees to pay $787 million to lie about this very issue. Guess any idea that this decision is going to change anything is wishful thinking/naivety.
The more things change the more they stay the same.

A company with annual sales of 36 million wins a lawsuit for 787.5 million. About 20 times annual sales.
There are some happy people tonight.
The one question I would have asked was what percentage of time did Fox News devote to presenting statements that the claims and statements by Trump and his surrogates were unsubstantiated.
My guess, it was less than 2 percent of the total content. And nothing by the most watched broadcasters.
Welcome back, Joe, we missed you!

Fox resolves Dominion case, but a bigger election defamation lawsuit looms Jack Queen Wed, April 19, 2023 at 6:02 AM EDT·3 min read (Reuters) - Fox News on Tuesday disposed of one legal threat with its $787.5 million defamation settlement with Dominion Voting Systems, but the network still faces a $2.7 billion lawsuit from another voting technology company over its coverage of debunked election-rigging claims. Dominion accused Fox and its parent company Fox Corp of ruining its business by airing claims that its machines were used to rig the 2020 U.S. presidential election in favor of Democrat Joe Biden and against then-president Donald Trump, a Republican. Fox and its parent company Fox Corp averted a six-week trial in Delaware Superior Court with the deal, which is half of the $1.6 billion Dominion sought but still by far the largest ever defamation settlement publicly announced by an American media company, according to legal experts. Fox, one of the most influential cable networks in the world and home to many conservative commentators, acknowledged in a statement Tuesday that the judge found “certain claims about Dominion to be false” and said it hopes the deal helps the country “move forward with these issues.” But Fox’s lawyers will stay busy navigating the legal fallout of the network’s 2020 election coverage with a potentially far more damaging defamation lawsuit by voting technology company Smartmatic, as well as a separate but related lawsuit by a recently fired producer. Fox representatives referred Reuters to prior statements on the cases. The network has firmly denied the allegations in both cases. It is unclear if Fox’s deal with Dominion indicates it is willing to settle with Smartmatic, but experts who are not part of the litigation suggested it could help kickstart talks. “Smartmatic now has a bargaining chip, and Fox has shown it is willing to take out its checkbook and write a big check,” said University of Tennessee, Knoxville media law professor Stuart Brotman. “From Fox’s standpoint, now that they realize they can get a successful settlement, they have a basis for a real discussion with Smartmatic.” Smartmatic is seeking $2.7 billion in damages from Fox and five individuals, including former Trump lawyers and hosts. Smartmatic alleges in its lawsuit in New York County Supreme Court that the defendants knowingly spread false claims that its software was used to flip votes. Conspiracy theorists erroneously claimed Smartmatic owned Dominion, and the companies mounted similar allegations in their lawsuits. Smartmatic attorney J. Erik Connolly said in a statement Tuesday the company is committed to clearing its name, recouping the damage done to it and “holding Fox accountable for undermining democracy." Fox denies the allegations, saying in a recent statement the network had a right to report on highly newsworthy allegations of voter fraud. It has also called Smartmatic’s damages claims “outrageous, unsupported, and not rooted in sound financial analysis.” Fox was recently dealt a setback in the case after an appeals court declined to toss it, finding Smartmatic alleged in “detailed fashion” how Fox “effectively endorsed and participated” in defamation. Meanwhile, Fox has given no public indication that it is interested in settling the lawsuit by the former producer, Abby Grossberg, whose lawyers said in a statement Tuesday they are seeking “meaningful institutional changes at Fox News.” Any such changes were absent from the public announcement of the Dominion settlement and could potentially be a major sticking point in any negotiations, legal experts said. Grossberg alleges she was exposed to sexism at Fox and unjustly fired after she objected to what she claims were efforts to pressure her into giving misleading testimony in the Dominion case. Fox has said the allegations are “baseless” and were immediately investigated by outside lawyers. The network also says it will “vigorously” defend itself against all of Grossberg’s claims. https://finance.yahoo.com/news/fox-resolves-dominion-case-bigger-100249244.html

Hopefully Smartmatic holds their feet to the fire. If they want to settle, make them have to come out and say they’re full of crap. Make them have to announce it to the world. They should have to start every news cast for the next year with “Hey idiot viewers, we here at Fox have been spoon feeding you mouth breathers a load of crap for years. You gullible rubes gobbled it up like baby birds in a nest. Ringling was right, there’s a sucker born every minute, and you folks that continue to tune in are living proof. We can’t believe you still tune in, but here we are. Now, onto our nightly broadcast of banal tripe for you to use to fuel your inner hatred of today’s American society.” The fact they settled with Dominion but still act as though the did nothing wrong is absurd. They should be made to be accountable. They should be made to stand on a proverbial table in the cafeteria and be pantsed for the world to see.

Can you explain how that makes what he said false? Or do you support FOX News lies about the election and the voting machines?

So then you admit that talking heads that lie should not be listened to. Cool. So my guess is you’ll not be listening to Tucker, Hannity, or any other Fox broadcaster… or for that matter, donny. All known liars.

All known liars. We do not have news in this Country anymore. Anyone who says we do is either clueless or likes the narrative their channel provides. There are right wing propaganda stations and left-wing propaganda stations. When I was a child in school, they used to tell us what the Soviet news were reporting to their people, and everyone would laugh. We have become what we used to laugh at. We are lied to by both sides of the spectrum. I do not watch news channels any longer. I don't think the election was stolen by machines. It was stolen by a corrupt system that allowed people to vote without showing their ID and in drop box locations instead of polling stations.
