The last and only word is that he did not concede. Conceding means admitting defeat. And word for word you have been pounding as much salt as I have. The only difference is your assertion that he conceded is false and anyone with a brain can see that if they watch the video you posted.

They were cut and pasted by a fellow whose full time job is producing a morning show on ABC I believe. There was no sound on the videos so he added sound where he thought appropriate. the events of Jan 6th might not have been the day the transfer of power occurred... But it was part of the process. It was not peaceful. To me that's unequivocal... But you are free to disagree. If you were debating how orchestrated it was, I'd give you way more latitude but still, free to believe or post what you wish.

As for politicians not accepting election results? I never talked about politicians I talked about POTUS. I believe there should be a giant chasm between what your runoff the mill politicians say... Like Taylor Green or Dennis Kasinich VS what the POTUS says and does. Just me maybe? But my statement was 1000% accurate. Trump stands alone in not conceding.

So Trump has never conceded. He even stated those very words, but you want to argue that his actions were a concession? Have i got that right?

Seems like semantics to me. By vacating the office he has acted in a manner consistent with conceding. But he has always maintained the election was stolen, maintained he won the election and he has verbally never conceded and has said as much.

If you want to say he conceded because he left office. Fine. I think its just as valid, probably more so, to point to his denial of the result and his ongoing statements where he refuses to concede and say he has never conceded.

Just because I have a better understanding of what he said than you do isn't a me problem. Please address further comments to the man you think you understood the words of better than he does. The man who said those words himself.

Interesting, each side has it's supporters- as a FORMER always voted REPUBLICAN- I'll support both sides like a good politician. The right- they can show LOTS of video showing "traitors" peacefully being escorted thru the halls of the Capital by guards- those people thought they only exercised their RIGHTS being on the grounds/as the Capital IS the house of the people.....the left- they show the MOB part of the "revolt" breaking windows, punching guards, acting as vagarents - yelling Hang Pence, they thought the election was stolen and were just doing the acting President's will. Plus, one of theirs was shot dead climbing to get to a window....some call it murder, yet only martyrs are on the left side- guards who died/ are the ones who guided traitors unopposed thru the halls- did they lose their jobs or were they tried for dereliction of duty? Looking at the event, there are LOTS of TRUTHS on BOTH sides.

I'm for locking up the fighting/destroying right AND firing the cops who didn't try to prevent unauthorized entry- those documented helping intruders should be fired......but I'm not KING. Hope this BS doesn't happen again.

PS- JMHO- we got what we elected- an idiot, who has NO ability- a liar, womanizer, thief, and hopefully, first ex- President to serve time behind bars for his many crimes committed. Peace.

So far I've seen a total of four minutes of video showing what you describe "from the right". I guess to you that qualifies as "a lot". and there's only one place that it was given to in order to show it. Tucker Carlson.

There is not one politician in existence today that I would trust within 5 miles of an attempt to rewrite our magnificent governing document. Not one!!

People need to remember that some of the very people who helped write the constitution were slave owners. They did not allow women to vote. Some were drunkards. They were human just like the rest of us and the document they wrote was not a book of the Bible or something written by superheroes.

And together they wrote a constitution second to none. They took personal freedom to a place it had never been in the history of man. Our founding documents established a vision for an America unlike any other country in existence. 250 years later it is still guides the country that is the place almost everyone wants to be. I really do not care if some were drunkards, if some owned slaves, if women did not have full rights. Our constitution gave us a starting point and also a path to become an even greater country.

Maybe you can find a country where the founders were saints and it has no flaws. Let me know where it is. Might be a nice place to visit.

After all the other drivel you got to the point. Humans can't see into the future. They aren't perfect. As such the constitution was written in and for the time period they were alive. Much has changed since then and as such the document is and has had its flaws.

I have no problem with the constitution - and the flawed men that wrote it.

I find it beyond ironic that there is a political movement that for the last 2 or 3 decades has harbored the idea of basing modern day decisions on an originalist interpretation of the constitution .... and yet it is elements from that very party that are driving the idea of a constitutional convention that would essentially undo everything it stands for. If you have not already - find the podcast and listen to it. Failing that simply remember this thread in 5-6 years when this is a much bigger thing. Steve Bannon is already proclaiming this is his single most important agenda item to push and promote. . . . Or feel free to stick head in sand and say it could never happen - much like a mob storming the Capitol Building (possibly with the intent of preventing a bonafide election from being certified) could never happen.
