Last night on espn there was a show on Belichick and Saban.

I found the show to be very interesting. It was biographies of the two men but also about their relationship.

I did not know that Saban graduated from Kent State in 1973 and played football there. Then stayed on and coached db's there. I graduated from Kent in 1971. Who knows I may have seen him around.

Bill Belichick met Nick Saban at dinner over at Steve Belichick's (Bill's father's) home.

The show covered their coaching careers. It provided a revealing profile on how they both coach. They learned from each other as equals.

Both were born into coaching. Both of their fathers were coaches.

It was clear that both men were born teachers who found their mission in life.

I would recommend watching it.

Those two have a lot of respect for each other. Their coaching style is very similar. Both are laser focused and high priests in the coaching profession. And to think, the Browns had Belichick as HC and Saban as DC. There were a ton of other notable names on that staff, such as Ozzie Newsome, Ferentz, Lombardi, Pioli, Rick Venturi, Dowhower, Schwatz, the GM dude for Atlanta,--Demhoff or something like that, Mangini, etc. That's freaking incredible!

They covered their time in Cleveland and how the defense improved under them.

That staff had great coaches. No doubt that if things had gone differently the Browns would have been the dynasty.

I saw that some time back. I assume it was the same program...both of them there together, more or less in a conversation, interview setting. Pretty cool how the friendship started many decades ago. Brothers from different Mothers.

I found it very entertaining.

Two of the greatest coaches ever to coach football.

The success they have had is unparalleled.
