I haven't paid attention to this at all.
So wait... Trump paid a porn star and a Playboy model not to tell anyone he hooked up with them... and that's all these politicians and investigators could find in the last year? Your still not paying attention.

SBD not sure what the overall charges are, but I heard a talking head mention something like a 30-count indictment... I think they were speculating scenarios while they wait to see the actual contents of the indictment on Tuesday.

"You come at the king, you best not miss."
Of the legal dates pending on DT45*s social calendar, this one is the weakest- and the heaviest lift for law enforcement.
It's a stretch for Alvin Bragg to bring enough evidentiary juice to turn this from misdemeanor to felony- and this story has been squishy from the start.
I predict similar results at the end of this episode as we've seen many times before. Truth be told, I can't see Alvin Bragg bringing a stronger case than Cyrus Vance had, when he punted- and then retired... unless new stuff has come to light in the interim. Pushing that boulder uphill from misdemeanor ---> felony ---> conviction seems like a moon shot.
One Trick Phoney's most dire threats come from DC and Georgia. Jack Smith is doing a deep dive into the money, and Fani Willis has him on tape with Raffensperger, trying to invent votes.
Regardless how this particular chapter plays out, this d00d will now run his entire presidential campaign under a cloud of scandal, sketchiness and legit legal proceedings... while assuming the ass-up posture of the perennially-besieged victim. Not the most inspirational of presidential platforms, if you ask me. But I digress.
The point I tried to make, back in 2015 still holds true: This man's initial (and fatal) blunder was leaving the private sector to seek public office. His demise was written by him from the start.
I called it, not 6 months into America's 45th presidential term. I told this entire board that he would seek to run the Executive Office of the USA like he ran his private enterprises... and that his adherence to shady, barely-legal tactics would lead to untold legal hassles.
He's too corrupt to avoid legit legal scrutiny. He's too stupid to avoid impeachment He's too 'set in his ways' to ever change his ways.
It isn't a matter of how. Or even who. It's only a matter of when. And from which jurisdiction.
Bragg's won't be the case that changes things. My money is on Fani Willis/GA. That recording is damning af.
For the record, I HATE that issues such as these are even in our daily discourse. We really should represent America better than this.

Just indicting and processing him may end up being all the justice we see. I hope our prosecutors and judges can withstand the onslaught they face. And if a NOT RIGGED jury finds him innocent or guilty, so be it. He's not above the law but should be treated with all the same rights observed that every common man enjoys. But I can already see they will treat him delicately, no cuffs, no perp walk, just getting his fingerprinting and mugshots for his case jacket before a fast arraignment, plea, and ROR before trial.

I would imagine that they are pretty buttoned up on this before they decided to move forward.

j/c I've seen the talking heads call this a witch hunt and politically motivated as their excuse as to why someone who has been indicted by a grand jury should be above the law. But let's see if that holds water..... This is from 2018 COHEN, 51, of NEW YORK, NEW YORK, pleaded guilty to five counts of willful tax evasion; one count of making false statements to a bank; one count of causing an unlawful campaign contribution; and one count of making an excessive campaign contribution. COHEN'S sentencing is scheduled for December 12 at 11 a.m. https://www.justice.gov/usao-sdny/p...ourt-eight-counts-including-criminal-taxHe was sentenced to three years in prison for those crimes.... Michael Cohen Sentenced To 3 Years In Prison U.S. Attorney’s Office Also Announces Non-Prosecution Agreement with American Media, Inc., Related to Its Payment of $150,000 to a Woman to Influence 2016 Presidential Election https://www.justice.gov/usao-sdny/pr/michael-cohen-sentenced-3-years-prisonI heard nobody on the right up in arms when Cohen was charged, arrested or convicted and sent to prison. Which begs to question why they are now? Then they say this is all based on Cohen's testimony who is a convicted felon and proven liar? But who was he lying for? Who was he working for? What person was he covering up for? Nobody knows for sure as it pertains to what evidence beyond Cohen's testimony they have. But according to Cohen he has a paper trail as evidence. Not only that but recorded phone calls and that there have been witnesses called that corroborate his testimony. IF that is proven to be true, why is it okay for him to be convicted and sentenced and the person behind it all go free? Either nobody is above the law or certain people are. Trump announced he was running in 2024 on Nov. 15th of 2022. Less than two weeks after the 2022 election. Almost two full year before the election. Now he's claiming that any criminal charges brought against him are interfering in the upcoming election. Is it so hard to see that he announced his candidacy so early to use this as a built in excuse?

You asked why the right wasn't up in arms when he was sent to prison. I'm guessing it's because they never saw him as one of them. He's jumped back and forth between political parties throughout his adult life, and seems more unsavory opportunist than "true believer." Why the Republican party sees Trump as "one of them," I'm not entirely sure. It seems they sort of grabbed the tiger by the tail and now they're afraid to let go.

Does anyone listen to him? He has the highest rated prime time show on FOX News. With 3.5 Million Viewers, Tucker Carlson Has The Week’s Highest-Rated Cable News Show https://www.forbes.com/sites/markjo...t-rated-cable-news-show/?sh=68db38d67f52I know trying to downplay that and poking fun of others is your only way to try and distract people from such things but what you stated is just wrong. It does seem odd you are actually deploying the same tactics you have accused me of.

Meh -
Everyone in the world should hope that if guilty - Trump, Hunter, Hilary or whichever politician or elected official from whichever party - is held accountable. Everyone should hope that everyone is treated equally and held to the same standards - I'd prefer to see politicians and elected officials held to a higher standard if anything but the minimum should be to hold them to the same standards.
The more things change the more they stay the same.

Lindsey Graham says Trump should 'smash some windows' and 'punch a cop' on his way to being booked Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina says he's got a plan to keep former President Donald Trump from being prosecuted after being indicted by a grand jury in Manhattan on Thursday — assaulting a police officer and engaging in robbery. "How can President Trump avoid prosecution in New York?," asked Graham on Twitter. "On the way to the DA's office on Tuesday, Trump should smash some windows, rob a few shops and punch a cop." The senator added: "He would be released IMMEDIATELY!" Graham, a close Trump ally and one of just five senators who've publicly endorsed the former president's 2024 campaign, appeared to be making a joke playing off conservative critiques of Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg's record on crime in the city. As they've rushed to Trump's defense amid a grand jury indictment in Bragg's probe into Trump's handling of a "hush money" payment made to porn star Stormy Daniels, many Republicans have argued that Bragg has not done enough to prosecute other crimes in the city and should shift his focus. House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, in a tweet criticizing Bragg, said the DA "routinely frees violent criminals to terrorize the public. And Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis — a potential rival for the 2024 GOP presidential nomination — said that Bragg "consistently bent the law to downgrade felonies and to excuse criminal misconduct. Yet, now he is stretching the law to target a political opponent." A progressive prosecutor, Bragg has come under fire for emphasizing criminal justice reform and seeking to reduce incarceration. Most controversially, he issued a "Day One memo" instructing prosecutors to only pursue jail time for the most violent offenses, which he later walked back. https://www.businessinsider.com/lin...9NPcl0ggXrTgbi8uHMsm4CGdJNiY3AWEBF32aSkN

I have a hard time believing that Lindsay Graham is that stupid.. Geez, what a maroon...
As for desantis, it's almost like he's acting as if he knows what the indictment says. Since it hasn't been unsealed yet, I wonder how he can even comment on details.

The system is that you go to trial and the state proves your guilt, you do not prove your innocence. She has it backwards.

That's what the system claims. From a logical standpoint people in general trust law enforcement and prosecutors. They realize a grand jury has already indicted the defendant. While it doesn't apply to the trump case, in many cases they see the defendant in shackles. So while what you're stating is correct I highly question if often times jurors aren't jaded to some extent from the very beginning.
