If Cribbs doesn't make it, it's a shame because he is the most deserving. He actually leads the NFL, something none of the others can even claim.

The probowl is so freaking useless. The game sucks the balloting is moronic and obviously fans should have no say so in who goes. Wes Welker doesnt even return kicks for the Pats and he leads the voting.

The fact that Wes Welker is leading in KR voting over Cribbs and even leon Washington tells you how lame the Pro Bowl voting has become. Whoever has the most fans sit at their computer the longest and put in the most votes wins.

He returns punts, but he hasn't done anything spectacular at that position at all.

NFL doesn't work like MLB as far as I know, so these guys aren't the automatic starters. This just means that he leads in 1/3rd of the vote process. Players and coaches I think account for the other 66%, so there's still plenty of opportunity for Derek Anderson, Braylon, Winslow, Thomas and Cribbs to get in.

I thought that the players got in due to fan, player & coaches vote (a third each). Steinbach was the top vote-getter at his position but couldn't he, possibly, be snubbed by the players & coaches and not make it?

Technically, Steinbach can still miss it... but he won't. He was a Pro-Bowl alternate last year, and that was before Will Shields retired. Given that he's leading guards in fan voting and that he's also been good enough to get votes from players and coaches, I'd say he's a shoo-in.
If I had to guess, I'd say Steinbach, Cribbs, Winslow and Braylon all make it, with Thomas having an outside chance at it.
We're... we're good?

There ya go. I laugh when people complain about fan base, It's not even half of the vote.
The fact that Winslow is 4th in voting and Cribbs is being snubbed over for Welker go's to show you that there are a bunch of idiots voting that know nothing about football other than what their teams do. Winslow will go to the Pro-Bowl as will Cribbs abd Steinbach, possibly even Braylon.

I think Braylon, Cribbs, and Winslow deserve to be in the Pro Bowl.... as well as Joe Thomas
Will they? That remains to be he question. If coaches have been watching then they will get it right.

I see Winslow having a tough time, simply because he's going up against Gates and Gonzalez. Hell, those guys could probably be hurt for 1/2 the year and still make it based on name recognition (at least from the fans' voting perspective).
Hopefully the coaches and players realize who truly deserves to go.
I am unfamiliar with this feeling of optimism

P Chris Hanson, Patriots 95,386
What? The Patriots punter?
Is this possibly the easiest job in the NFL?

Great to see!
We should have more than that, though.
These guys deserve to make it as well....
Braylon Edwards Kellen Winslow Josh Cribbs
You could argue that Joe Thomas has a shot, but it's gonna be tough to get a rook in there at LT.

The only guy who gets less action is the Dolphins holder.

So, if I'm counting correctly:
7 Patriots 4 Colts 3 Chargers 1 each of Browns, Steelers, Ravens, Titans, Broncos
Chris Hanson the Pats punter has the #27 net average punt at 35.6 and a total of 1,275 yards.
Andy Lee of SF has the #1 (T) net average with 42.6 and a total of 4,114 yards.
There's no logic to any of the voting, it's just name or team recognition.

How the heck did Addai beat out LT? I'm not arguing for which was better this season, but that is like someone beating out Jeter at short in the MLB All Star Game. The guy is one of the faces of the NFL right now.

Welker has 6 returns for 167 yards and a 26.2 average.
Cribbs has 52 returns for 1,611 yards and a 31 yard average. Cribbs has just about 10 times more yards, attempts, and a better average.
