Congrats to the Cavs winning the title. Looked swell last night. Newcomers clicked.

Another guy I didn't mention was Porter Jr.
He won't be more than just a part player, but he does have an all around game. He can make shots, keep his team involved, grab a rebound, play decent D.
Again, not real star in the making, but as an end of the bench guy, you can put him out there and not get killed. There is value to a team who can put a guy out there for 4-5 minutes and play even or close to even and try to wear down their starter while you rest your starter.
There are ways to contribute to the team without burning up the stat sheet. Fans might not notice it, but coaches do.

That's a HUGE chunk of cash for a second option
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Such a dumb move. He’s a nobody without lebron. He’s proved that everywhere. You can swing a dead cat in the arena and hit someone to get you 4/4

If he takes a spot that could of been used for I Mobley or P Nance, I will really not like this move.

My attitude on that is "stuff happens".
No doubt poor decision making, and you don't want to see a pattern of such behavior. Take a cab/uber, or in your case you can probably afford a private driver.
I wonder how much a typical Uber driver actually takes home in an average night? Just work a private deal with them.

It's definitely not good. Unfortunately, if you don't plan on calling an Uber beforehand, you're not likely to be in a state of mind to realize you need one.

I do not doubt he was intoxicate. But common sense says don't EVER do the tests. Not one single person alive can do them. The cops ask you to for one reason: to have video of you failing what every single sober person would fail. Period.
If you feel you are under the "limit", just tell them you'd like to blow. Your are NOT required to do the tests that no one can do - not even the cop.

If Mobley's ceiling is what everyone says it is, the Cavs should be fine. But he needs to take three giant steps forward now. It's been a cute ride to date but time to grow up.
The Cavs biggest issue is they are a soft, coddled bunch by a coach who awards participation trophies and doesn't push the team to their potential. If JB doesn't start demanding more out of the team, they will get bounced by tougher teams again.
And for crying out loud Cavs fans please stop trying to run off Mitchell. He's a top ten player in the NBA and the only player who isn't soft and has a killer instinct on the team. It doesn't matter how Lauri does from here on out. Mitchell is light years the better player and we are lucky to have him.

Mobley is definitely a key. He needs to kick it into gear offensively.
We also need to get TOUGHER. We saw it against the Knicks ... we have skill, but are slight and not really tough

Haslam trying out a Watson-style trade in the NBA already?

Garland and Mitchell were about as garbage as you could be last night and JB made some dumb calls at the end that snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. But it was game one, I've learned never to spend money on a preseason game..lol But alot of good last night too, the new additions look like they will be able to fill some holes. Bates looks to be as advertised, but man he needs to add about 30lbs. Perimter defense still looks to be an issue that hasn't been addressed in camp. But I think we will have enough offense on the bench we can keep a couple defense only out on the floor with both units. looking for a great season.

man cavs hot garbage again tonight. Mitchell looks like a guy waiting to leave and the offense is just putrid and the defense on the perimeter and in the paint non existent. I still don't think JB is the coach thats going to get us where we want to go. too many deficiencies and they carry over year to year. At some point you have to punt and take a chance on a new voice. Its going to be a long season if they play like they have so far the preseason. That would be typical cleveland luck. I'm just praying they are sandbagging it

I had Hawks floor seats tonight. 2nd row. ![[Linked Image from i.postimg.cc]](https://i.postimg.cc/P5HwxgQz/20231012-194619.jpg) ![[Linked Image from i.postimg.cc]](https://i.postimg.cc/RZPZBys0/20231012-201309.jpg) The best part? Being literally only 5 feet away from the Hawks bench. ![[Linked Image from i.postimg.cc]](https://i.postimg.cc/5tYbM0QP/20231012-194117.jpg) ![[Linked Image from i.postimg.cc]](https://i.postimg.cc/rFmHHHrj/20231012-202152.jpg) It was baddass. When I left I felt overwhelmed by how awesome it was.

Ikr!! I highly reccommend floor seats for anyone who is a fan. Preseason seats are cheap. I hobb knobbed with the VIPs for $383.00 There was a fancy all inclusive club too. Well worth the price of admission.

Yep. Almost went a couple years ago in the pre. Once the season starts, they are 3-5 times that price.

I was so inspired by my experience that I became a season ticket holder. It's only for 7 games, but the seat is only 8 rows from the floor and has an all inclusive club. So I'm pretty pleased. This is my first time having season tickets with any sport. The Hawks have the #1 rated fan experience in the NBA. I love it there. I always get comments on my Cavs jersey lol

Anyone concerned Mitchell doesn't want to be in Cleveland?
Not sure if they are rumors or insinuations.
Seems like a bit of a cloud hanging over the teams heads going into the season.

And I will guess he goes to the FO and asks to be traded to the Knicks, in the off-season or at the deadline of the ‘24-‘25 season. We will recoup all our picks, and get some good young players. This will allow a long Mobley extension. Unless its done by then.
