Ok me and the pommy neighbours got a few kilo's to lose between us so we've decided to have a little game of "The Biggest Loser" between ourselves.

I'm already going to the gym 1-2 times a week so my foundation fitness off the bat is reasonable. Doubled with a better diet and ditching the alcohol while increasing my visits to the gym should see results in the weekly weigh in.

Weighing in at around a hefty 138 kilos at present (304 lbs) so i'm targeting my old playing weight before the ACL injury (120 kg (264 lbs) and from there, who knows? Always carried it well due to the height (6 foot 5 inches) but it's starting to show this last year.

....and no, i don't play Left Tackle.

So, no alcohol and losing weight/increasing fitness is my resolution. Anybody got others?

Im in the same boat as you Riddler, Lose weight feel great.

I am an unhealthy human as it is.

I need to lose 10-15 pounds which is the easy part...my new years resolution is to keep it off.

Every year this time it creeps up one me.

I am going to drink more!

Well a few things I want to do:
1. Add a supercharger to my car
2. Reduce the cigarettes I smoke then quit.
3. I need to start running. Since I started my new job I sit at a desk all day, I go to school and sit, and when I get home and study or come on here, sit some mo! Problem with this is time, I never have enough time for what I have to do

Good luck, Riddler! You can do it.

I don't make resolutions because I feel it's a setup for failure (in my case).

I'm not sure yet...every year 'better health' makes it on the list though, some years I set a specific weight number, and sometimes I just tailor it down to other goals, figuring it'll all balance out. Last year was my swimming kick. I worked myself up to swimming a mile in 1 hour, then vowed to swim 3 miles a week at the gym accross the street from work...then my workload doubled and I had to cancel my gym membership cuz I never know when I'm even going to get a break, so I landed back on square one....maybe I'll really change things up and pursue my lifelong dream of clog-dancing...or aerobic floor-loom weaving.

...guess I still have some thinking to do about it.

I need to lose about 3 stones...no not kidney stones but weight equal to 60 lbs. At 5'11" I am too old [57] to be carrying this extra weight so the treadmill it is for me. Work up to 60 minutes 5 times per week and it should be gone in about 6-8 months.

I goota tell you guys/gals that when you give up all your vices such as booze, beer, cigarettes, swearing and now junk food it makes for a very cranky but more healthy person.

Not quite sure it is worth the trade off though.!!!

I hear ya... in the last 12 months I've given up alcohol, caffeine & nicoteine... and I'm now in a foul mood far more often than I ever was before.

I need to really actually follow through on my annual resolution of getting into shape. I've put on too much weight in the last 3 years.

Here comes a membership to my local gym, and a membership to Jenny Craig.

Been off the beer, booze and cigs since 1985...this seems like an awfully long period of withdrawal

Ahh yeah I am right ontop of that one I do need to do that, I am ready to kill that cat.

Hey Lampy, u smoke Players at all? I get a few cartons to take home with me when I visit. I used to be able to buy them from this tobacco shop by me but they got in trouble for not paying tax on them

Good luck Ralphie, I work out two hours a day six days a week and I'm still fat

There is no fat grams in beer But the 10,000 calories a month don't help

I think I may cut back on spending. I've bought way too many toys for myself and remodeling projects the last couple years, and now I'm broke. I think I have everything I need anyways except for a new pool table. My old one is a piece of poop and broken.
