Way too much talking for a football game I took a nap and had the game on record. I caught up to the live portion of the game about 15 minutes ago.... FF through all the stuff I didn't need to see. I couldn't agree with you more. It's way too much blah blah blah blah blah.

Way too much talking for a football game It's the HOF game. They always talk about the inductees, ect. The game is a sideshow.

The Jets playing their 1st round pick right now is something
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

I love football, but Pre-Season is rough.... HOF game is really rough... would never watch the HOF game if Browns weren't playing...

Did we get a new ST coach? Doesn't seem like it.

That was a really nice throw, and a nice catch, for the TD.

Deeply concerned.
Your team will not be a real contender in the afc, if you never ever throw a pass attempt beyond the first down marker, or if you never make a defending free safety backpedal.
They only had ONE attempt in the deep area tonight, and that was when the opponent jumped offsides, so not by design.
... It is not just one pre season game, but , it was an exhibition, of an ongoing, observed to repeat philosophy that does not ever attempt anything over the top of a defense.
Playoff teams can score @uickly, the Browns do not appear to want to.
x's and o's philosophy problem on offense, THERE WAs NOTHING NEW, on offense, < that a bigger problem than,
the kickoff new rule = negative on Browns returns about 8 out of nine times they had holding on a return, like the majority of all returns
again a drive with a missed FG in the opening half.
The whole night the offense appeared to have the ball on a string, about I6 yards long, so every play operated within a couple of yards of the line of scrimmage.
The have to find a way to keep Isaiah Thomas.... full stop.
Positives? There were positives....
but, the coaching, being out coached, in the x's and o's of never going over the top of a defense EVER RRRRRRRRRRR
how can you be a head coach and not know your kicker can't be counted on, even the first xp just snuck in.
WR's are just decoys??
Jerry Rice would not be in the hall of fame, if he were hamstringed by the Browns Passing philosophy since Kevin Stefanski was hired.
the OTHER TEAM may as well not even carry a free safety for the week, because they won't be called upon, even once.
It's deeply concerning if you care about the outcome of the win loss column in the near to medium future.
Will they attempt a deep pass in my lifetime?
Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

Kelly, DTR, Tillman and Ika, who did get a third down stop looked good. DTR was probably the most noticeable. Not surprisingly…
Nice catch by for the TD by Watkins.
Of regular players, Fields flashed.
We miss you, Joe.

This guy maybe a great find.

Only time will tell how great of a find, but I think the guy will at minimum be a useful player.
I will dampen that with a little cautionary thought. Sometimes with guys like that keeping the weight in check can be a problem. We'll see next year after a year of fat paychecks and a full off season.
More money can lead to bigger celebrations. This year he had the combine and draft process to keep him motivated. Next year he won't have that. He will have to self motivate to keep his weight in check. For many people, that is a hard thing to do, especially when you are talking about food and diet.

If his weight becomes an issue. He should be cut.
If you are not self motivated. Football will not be a profession.
I was impressed by how easily he stayed in front of his man.
I paid attention to the scheme on both sides. I thought they kept it simple. I really liked the effort I saw.
Coverage on ST was not good. Some players will get an ear full today.
DTR is an impressive player. My son told me to check out his college tape. I did and saw a lot of the way he played last night.
For an early game I liked what I saw.

jc...
Jones' performance...it was pleasant a surprise, imo.
I do have my concerns about his durability though. Jones is putting a load on those knees, ankles and lower back.
When judging OLinemen, I like to see the hips and legs in proportion to the body size and mass to help provide a solid base, to help protect against injury to lower body.
Jones' on field performance will improve as his Body Mass Index improves to a healthier level. He is a diamond in the rough and will take a season or so to reach his full potential. Hopefully
Hopefully OLine coach, Bill Callahan will give Jones some work at LT to see if he has the versatility to play either LT or RT....

it's good to see some good praise/stats about a rookie. He's MASSIVE. I'd have to think his durability isn't ideal, like you said.
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Imo, the frame of a guy the sixe of Dawand means you throw 'weight' out of the window. If he is tall enough that 380 is a healthy weight, then it is, and if that 380 number is actually 4I0, then if he is as healthy and mobile at four hundred ten pounds, as a smaller player is at 320 pounds, then advantage team and good for him.
There is no reason to demand he be as skinny as a WR on his frame, simply because his frame is nearly seven feet tall and nearly five feet wide,
It's not his problem that he is the largest guy in a game of largess it's his opponents problem that they will have to deal with. If he is healthy at 420, 424+ whatever, If he is healthy at 420 or 404 then asking him to continue losing weight if he is three seventy begins to become obscene.
and if he is 368 and you are asking him to drop to 330, or 3I6, and he is healthy and athletic and mobile at 400? then it becomes absurd to demand he be too skinny.
Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

If he is tall enough that 380 is a healthy weight Yeah, but he's not 8' tall.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.
