Detained Trump co-defendant was arrested earlier this year

Harrison Floyd, a leader of Black Voices for Trump who was indicted in the Georgia election case, was arrested earlier this year for allegedly assaulting an FBI agent, court filings show.

Floyd surrendered at the Fulton County jail Thursday, joining a number of former President Trump’s co-defendants, but he is the only one to do so without negotiating bail in advance.

The Fulton County Sheriff’s office confirmed Floyd is being detained since he has no bond agreement.

Defense attorneys for the other 18 co-defendants have all reached agreements with Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis’s (D) office, allowing them to be released ahead of trial as long as they post bail and follow certain conditions.

Interrupting Newsmax’s live broadcast outside the jail on his way in, Floyd said, “My name is Harrison Floyd and the district attorney wants me to talk to her, but she doesn’t want to call me.” He later surrendered after being ushered away from the media by law enforcement.

In February, Floyd was arrested in Maryland after he allegedly assaulted an FBI agent who was serving him a grand jury subpoena, according to court filings.

The Washington Post, which first reported the arrest, indicated the subpoena was for special counsel Jack Smith’s investigation into the 2020 election, citing two people familiar with the matter. Trump was indicted in that case earlier this month.

According to an affidavit, Floyd screamed profanities and assaulted an FBI agent when he and another agent showed up to Floyd’s apartment in Rockville, Md., located in the suburbs of the nation’s capital.

After the agents shoved the subpoena into Floyd’s apartment door and attempted to leave, Floyd allegedly ran down the stairs after them.

“You haven’t shown me a badge or nothing. I have a f—ing daughter. Who the f— do you think you are,” Floyd screamed, according to court documents.

The Hill has reached out to Floyd’s attorney in that case for comment.

In the new Georgia indictment, Floyd is charged alongside Trump on a racketeering charge over an alleged conspiracy to keep the then-president in power following the 2020 election.

Floyd is accused of trying to convince Fulton County election worker Ruby Freeman to make false statements about election operations on Election Day 2020, under the guise of offering her help.

Beyond the racketeering count, Floyd is charged with influencing witnesses and conspiring to solicit false statements and writings.

The Hill has reached out to the district attorney’s office for comment about Floyd’s detention.

No, your use of hyperbole does not apply. Ignoring the facts and a feeble attempt at poking fun of something so serious is yet another indication of your deflection.

Let's be honest about all of this. Prisoner #1135809 has known what he is doing from the very beginning. He knew that he could and would get away with anything from the time he started running for president the first time and everyone that supported a demagogue would stand beside him anyway.......

He strokes their ego and makes them believe he is the victim.

So would it surprise anyone that no matter the evidence presented at any of these trials it only takes one juror who wouldn't convict him "no matter what" to cause a mistrial? It only takes one juror willing to lie and claim they will be open minded and hold him to the rule of law who knows they won't to upset the legal process as we have known it. And don't pretend that isn't a very distinct possibility.

Most of us fully understand that the truth is not your friend.

Do you mean like you handled prisoner #1135809's 2020 election loss? And then you claim to be the grown ups?

State senator Colton Moore calls for review of Fulton county district attorney’s actions after indictment of ex-president

A Republican state senator in Georgia has moved to impeach the Fulton county district attorney, Fani Willis.

The move comes in the wake of Willis’s delivery of a 41-count indictment against the former president Donald Trump and his operatives on state racketeering and conspiracy charges over efforts to reverse Trump’s 2020 presidential election loss in the state.

On Thursday, Colton Moore wrote a letter to Governor Brian Kemp in which he called for an emergency review of Willis’s actions.

“We, the undersigned … hereby certify to you … that in our opinion an emergency exists in the affairs of the state, requiring a special session to be convened … for all purposes, to include, without limitation, the review and response to the actions of Fani Willis,” Moore wrote.

Moore, who represents senate district 53, posted his letter on Twitter alongside the caption: “As a Georgia state senator, I am officially calling for an emergency session to review the actions of Fani Willis.

“America is under attack. I’m not going to sit back and watch as radical left prosecutors politically TARGET political opponents,” he added.

In a statement reported by the rightwing media outlet Breitbart, Moore said: “We must strip all funding and, if appropriate, impeach Fani Willis.”

Moore appears to have also launched a website for the official petition of Willis.

“Corrupt district attorney Fani Willis is potentially abusing her position of power by pursuing former president Donald J Trump, and I am calling on my colleagues in the Georgia legislature to join me in calling for an emergency session to investigate and review her actions and determine if they warrant impeachment.

“The politically motivated weaponization of our justice system at the expense of taxpayers will not be tolerated. I am demanding that we defund her office until we find out what the hell is going on. We cannot stand idly by as corrupt prosecutors choose to target their political opposition,” the website read underneath a headline of “God. Guns. Liberty. Leadership.”

Moore’s announcement triggered praise from several conservatives online, with one person writing: “Finally a Republican with courage. So refreshing to see someone FIGHT instead of sit back and say ‘there’s nothing we can do.’”

Another user wrote: “Finally, a Republican with a backbone.”

“Republicans who walk the walk are my kind of Republicans,” someone else wrote.

Following Willis’s delivery of the 41-count indictment, the Fulton county district attorney, who is African American, has faced a wave of racist abuse online including from Trump, who, using a thinly veiled play on the N-word, wrote on Truth Social: “They never went after those that Rigged the Election … They only went after those that fought to find the RIGGERS!”

Are there no depths they won't sink to?

That is the most unprofessional letter that I have ever seen. It is clearly targeted for political consumption.

The tone is definitely "Trumpy"

Sad that a political party has weaponized the legal system against their political rivals. Let these kind of actions stand and see where this country is at in the future.

Right? All these donny (GOP) appointed folks coming after their political rivals… also in the GOP.
Your party is devouring itself.
Crime doesn’t pay.
Just ask prisoner #1135809.
Or be a rube and send him a check like so many other of his gullible cult members do.

What's so funny is they claim a political party has weaponized the justice system and gullible people actually believe that. Jack Smith is not a democrat. The head of the FBI is a hand picked prisoner #1135809 appointee. And none of those people even charged him with anything. Merrick Garland, Jack smith nor Fanni Willis charged him with anything. The prosecutors simply conducted their investigations and put forth the evidence they found to the respective grand juries. Grand jury members looked at the evidence and were explained the definitions of the crimes themselves. Then after looking at the evidence presented to them, indicted prisoner #1135809 on a total of 91 criminal charges. A jury of his peers charged him with every single one of those crimes.

But those facts aren't what they want to hear or see so they blame the democrats for all of prisoner #1135809's woes. So much for being the party of personal accountability.

Here's the crap they believe without even so much as looking at any facts. This their leader. This is the ringmaster of thir circus. Just like the Pied Piper he gives them their marching orders and they follow blindly. Who is it they claim is weaponizing politics again?.....

Trump presses Republicans to impeach Biden or ‘fade into oblivion’

Former President Trump is urging Republicans in Congress to either impeach President Biden or “fade into oblivion.”

“The Republicans in Congress, though well meaning, keep talking about an Impeachment ‘Inquiry’ on Crooked Joe Biden. Look, the guy got bribed, he paid people off, and he wouldn’t give One Billion Dollars to Ukraine unless they ‘got rid of the Prosecutor,’” Trump wrote in a Truth Social post.

“Biden is a Stone Cold Crook — You don’t need a long INQUIRY to prove it, it’s already proven,” he continued. “These lowlifes Impeached me TWICE (I WON!), and Indicted me FOUR TIMES – For NOTHING! Either IMPEACH the BUM, or fade into OBLIVION. THEY DID IT TO US!”

Trump in a subsequent post said that he “NEVER HAD AN IMPEACHMENT INQUIRY, I HAD AN IMPEACHMENT, WHICH I WON! IT WAS STARTED IMMEDIATELY, NO MEETINGS, NO STUDY, NO DELAYS.”

“THE LUNATIC FASCHISTS & MARXISTS PLAY THE GAME DIFFERENTLY,” he added. “THEY ARE OUT TO DESTROY AMERICA. MAGA!

House Republicans have floated opening an impeachment inquiry into Biden for months, and some members have signaled that they are ready to do so.

Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) told Fox Business recently the lower chamber could launch an impeachment inquiry when it reconvenes in September.

The House Oversight and Accountability Committee, led by Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.) has been looking into the Biden family’s foreign business dealings. During the August recess, the committee has released transcripts of committee interviews and sent requests for information.

“If you look at all the information we have been able to gather so far, it is a natural step forward that you would have to go to an impeachment inquiry,” McCarthy said Sunday on Fox Business’s “Sunday Morning Futures.”

Trump is the only president in U.S. history to be impeached twice. He was acquitted both times in the Senate. He has repeatedly called on Biden to be impeached, questioning on the campaign trail why Congress has not done it yet.

I've heard this from multiple people in multiple places, but I really ask, how is it weaponized? Are you confident that he is not guilty of what he has been charged with? Do you honestly believe the grand juries should have returned a no bill?

Let me ask further, if he is found guilty by a jury of any of the crimes, was it still a weaponization?

We have a system in place, and I fail to see how that system should be different for anyone in power. If anything, I think that more charges should be filed against those in power, not less. So, I ask, really, how is it a weaponization of the system when it is just, in fact, the system working.

If anything, I think Pit's counterpoint is valid. If you have Congress specifically legislating or investigating other specific governmental functions, agencies, or departments, solely due to the fact of who is being investigated, is that not more of a case for weaponization? Another example would be, if you have a Governor and a legislature who are specifically invalidating agreements in place at the expense of one private entity vs others, resulting just from what that company stated in a public forum, is that not weaponization?

I am going to paraphrase something that Chris Christie actually said rather well. This is also a reason I left the Republican party. You cannot advocate that you are the party of "small government" when you throw the weight of the government against specific entities or individuals who say or do something you don't like.
Somebody getting charged with a crime, or a buttload of crimes in this case, by a non-political agency or department is not a weaponization. I can't find anywhere that anyone in Congress or the oval office charged Trump with a crime.

He is not guilty. All we have heard since 2016 is Trump is guilty of something or another. To question the integrity of an election that clearly there were many shady things happening is not a crime. He will not be convicted. Nor should he be convicted. He is standing against Communist in our Country and Global Elitists worldwide for the American people. He deserves better than he is getting treated.

You should first not be breaking any laws.

Making a claim against that those responsible for enforcing the laws are weaponizing rings hallow, when its your responsibility to follow the laws.

It's as Hirschman said, You are going to need to get a good defense attorney. Trump was warned, but proceeded down the path that resulted in an indictment.

Day,

Trump's problem was never about questioning election integrity. It is plainly stated in the indictment.

He filed 60 lawsuits to question election integrity. Lost 59 of 60. Trump did not stop once legal methods were exhausted.

It is about the actions, most notably the pressure campaign with the call to Raffensberger, and the fake electors.

According to who?

That is a matter for a judge and jury to decide.

The fake electors is probably the most easily determined.

Did not break any laws???

He has been indicted for 91 felonies. He will get his day in court.

And a jury of citizens will decide. That is what law and order means.

There is no weapon in court. There is the right to defend yourself. Then a jury decides.

If you want to cry the GOP talking point "weaponization of justice system" so be it, but the justice system is a weapon of deterrence.

So don't break any laws and you won't be indicted.

There was enough evidence to indict, now the judge and jury will get involved.

Look at trump's suit closely as he comes off the plane and talks with people. The suit is black.

Look at the blue suit in the mugshot. Photo shopped. Supplied before he arrived.

If you can't objectively see what you just said and how it is juxtaposed to all the facts that have happened, then I don't mean to insult you by any means, but the brainwash has set in.

Look at trump's suit closely as he comes off the plane and talks with people. The suit is black.

Look at the blue suit in the mugshot. Photo shopped. Supplied before he arrived.

The photo was rehearsed until they got what he wanted. Fake defiant face.

He will lie just to lie.

We shouldn't be focusing on his mugshot. If anything, that just shows that there is pre-drawn ill will against him. Focus on the things he did, focus on the indictments, and whatnot, but please do not focus on cheap stuff like this because it doesn't help anything.
