seems like a good lottery ticket type move. We need RB depth, speed, and pass catchers

Pierre Strong had an estimated athleticism score of 99 at the combine last year

Ran a 4.37

Draft profile mentions a home run threat of 10 TD runs over 50 yards in college (was FCS level)

Also had a few kick returns last season for NE. Could fill that hole for minute #Browns

I think he may be considered more of a kick returner than a RB for the Browns.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Thanks for the memories Jordan Wilkins!

This may not bode well for Demetric Felton either.

agreed with you both ... Wilkins with 2 fumbles yesterday and Felton with some "meh" play might have us looking for even another RB

Seems like a good solid move for us. We're getting a good solid player that adds even more speed to our O for a guy that was probably going to the PS.

5"11 212 pounds with speed, and we gave up a OT that wasn't going to make the 53 man roster, and wouldn't have lasted long if we cut him or put him on the practice squad., so Good move AB

Runs a bit like Chubb. Quick, sharp, economical cuts within a tight wheelbase. Slight head and shoulder dips to fake out would-be tacklers. I like it.

This is what analytics does. thumbsdown
relationships with player agents? or, some computer algorithm?
If he were anything more than Isaiah Crowell's level of production in Isaiah Crowell's 2nd year in the league then Strong wouldn't have been traded for the OL Wheatley.

At some point the fact they constantly bring in players from the outside becomes alarming.
ALARMING

What, are they pulling from a pool of ... how many, 48 extra players, from around the league? or I00?

so if you take the ninety man roster, plus another hundred, they are trying to put together a team from about 3 times as many different people and personalities as the other NFL teams are,
in theory at least.

^ But this is the theory in practice,
that theory is right in your face it took the field in the form of a player named Jordan Wilkins who'd only been on the Browns for under 2 weeks

and now the Browns are rebuilding the Rb room exactly 2 weeks from the kickoff of opening day.

Is this the right way to prepare in a nine month off season? / no it isn't

hooray E for effort, front office, bad move though, but not all swings put the golf ball where you want, yeesh, yikes

Why did it take, the Browns' front office 24 months to figure out that Jerome Ford ain't all that extra special especially in the availability category,
he played at the U of Cinncinnati bearcats for goodness sake, which historically are the sisters of the poor in regards to football.
so
they relied on Ford, to get rid of both D'Ernest and Hunt from the Rb room, though Hunt, may have been inevitable, but D'Ernest wasn't, and a Tank Bigsby draft option may have been avail at some point,
b/c
This is what analytics does thumbsdown

How are you going to prepare a team when you can't even agree, or decide who is on the team for even a matter of HOURs ,
not weeks
not days, but
hours until their next 'rebuild"

This is what analytics does, and I think it is what other people might mean when they post that the team doesn't make winning a priority.

analytics would trade vehicles during a one way commute.
it is a wonder they haven't made a trade with the opponent on a game day after the kickoff, ... don't give them any ideas

Hey Welcome to the team Peire, Hope you have a great career as a Brown, you'll be the newest guy on the team for about 44 minutes.

Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

1l Chubb is the starting RB not Wilkins
2. Wilkins couldn't hold onto the ball and fumbled 2x yesterday
3. Google NFL teams churn the bottom 10% of their roster all of the time and the bottom 30% is churned yearly.

Looks like a good trade. Can return kicks, but more importantly he can pick up a blitz.

Runs a little high, but he's should be a quality depth peace.

After Ford it became clear that the cupboard was bare.

Hall has some quickness. Felton has not impressed. You need some upside.

Somebody who may develop. Maybe this guy will show up

I've read that he excelled in a zone blocking scheme in college .. bingo

Yeah, I don't get it. After Grant went down it was obvious at the very least the Browns would need a new return guy. They went out and got one at a bargain basement price. I think that was their main goal here. His average per carry in the rushing game hasn't been impressive in the NFL. But he may also develop into a decent RB in some back-up capacity as well. And all the Browns gave in return was a player that wasn't going to make the 53 man roster anyway.

Thank the Christ that you are sane on here my friends; on social media, the comments over this are ridiculous. 'Well can he kick' 'This dude is a bum' What do you expect from this trash organization' 'Never heard of him' Boggles the mind how everyone thinks they are armchair GM.

Anyway just repeating as others have said, I think this is a very good move. Hopefully can be a good returner and spot option in the backfield if we need him too. Not impressed with Wheatley so no loss there.

Win for us imo.

I wonder how he is catching the ball?

He caught 22 passes for 150 yards his senior year in college. He also looks better than Mond at QB LMAO 4-4 for 62 yards and 4TD's his senior year

he looks to be a step up from Felton, Wilkins, Kelly, etc ... I'm good with Chubb, Ford, and Strong (assuming Ford is healthy)

Robinson hasn't been the same since blowing out his achilles.

Hard to tell a ton from Strong's tape.

If he has space, he has home run speed. Not sure how well he operates in traffic. Definitely seems to have good initial burst, but I'm not sure how much wiggle he has once he's going.

Seems to have solid hands.

Let's see what Stump can do with him. Looks worth the flier.

Robinson is an option. I think a lot depends on Ford's injury with us
