Because the legal system has created a lot of double standards. They often times do that. I could turn around and ask you why if a teenager goes to the mall and one of their friends steals a pair of shoes can the one who didn't steal anything be charged with shoplifting? Why is a person sitting in the car while their friend goes in a store and steals something able to be charged with theft? Why is it that when a burglary is committed and one of the burglars shoots someone and kills them can the rest of them be charged with murder?

You're asking for an answer to a question about the legal system when the legal system in and of itself makes little sense in many situations.

If three friends go into a house to rob it and one of them panics and decides to shoot and kill the homeowner, the other two did not "intentionally, knowingly, recklessly, or with criminal negligence cause the death of an individual". Yet they too are charged with murder. They didn't go their with any intent to hurt anyone. They may not have even been armed with a gun. They didn't commit any violent act. Yet they can be charged with murder exactly the same as the person who committed murder. Not all laws make sense.

In the case you are trying to use nobody chose to get an abortion. It seems as though you are using one side of things to ignore the other side.

I guess that is what one would tend to believe if they felt they had the right to control the reproductive rights of women.

I will say that anyone and everyone could see that the extremist right wing of the GOP was ruling the day in terms of abortion. That extremist laws being passed in many states would be a result of overturning Roe vs Wade. It was posted and you were warned on this very board what those results would be. Now don't get me wrong here. I understand your views on abortion. I understand just how important this topic is for you and what it means to you.

But how far they would go with these laws was plain as day to everyone. There wasn't really any doubt about it. I can also understand if you felt you were voting for the lesser of the two evils in terms of abortion. But make no mistake, when you voted for trump everyone knew this would be the results of it. I think that includes yourself. So IMO you are telling the truth that some of these more extreme laws aren't what you wanted. I've known you for a very long time and I do believe you are smart enough to have known 100% that these extreme laws that force children to have babies, victims of incest and rape being forced to bear those children would be a part of the results when you voted.

I think you full well knew that these would be a result of the vote you cast at that time. If not you certainly should have been. They were telling you. The only way you could have missed it is if you weren't listening.
