I mean we have so many Americans wanting a revolution and all this crap, make him Speaker, push that shiny red button.
“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”
I would be hilarious in tradgic way. But he would never do it.
Eve you would and you know it. I would too if I was him. Imagine that being such a Hail Mary in a way that he dodges prison because of some legal loophole and bad optics. The fact that nobody truly knows if it would work makes it the perfect play.
He can be speaker and roll right into the general election campaigning with deep pockets.
That’s a layup. I’m not saying it’s probable, but I’m saying it’s not impossible.
“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”
He would have to do actual non-glamourous work in the senate every day. I dont see it happening. He's too much of a spoiled rich boy.
It’s free camera time because he loves doing interviews and running his mouth on live TV. What better platform than speaker of the house? He’s Trump, he always has a way of getting out of doing actual work.

Yeah, but then he only shows up in the mirror and tries to fish around your bathroom drawers looking for bronzer. It was pretty anticlimactic and awkward when he realized how pale I was and that I didn't have any.

Trump as speaker of the house would be so horribly hilarious I almost need it to happen.
Please tell me I'm not actually reading this.
To invoke his name is to summon him. You should know better than to fool with powers beyond your control.
"God help us." -John Kelly
Yes, I had heard that night that he "could" be nominated-and was being nudged from everybody from hannity and alex jones to being repubs bringing up his name-and he did reply that he is sorta busy now but might think about doing it short term for the repub party-I call bs on that-he would stay there until he could figure out that a shutdown doesn't stop Jack Smith.
There is one little problem about all this-the repubs imposed a rule for the speaker-Rule #26 which states the following
Rule 26 is included in the House Republican Conference Rules of the 118th Congress, which was approved in January. It states that a “member of the Republican Leadership shall step aside if indicted for a felony for which a sentence of two or more years imprisonment may be imposed.
I'm just curious about something. As we saw a lot of the House rules were changed and the GOP agreed on those rule changes when McCarthry became speaker, what makes you think that rule won't be changed if they decide they want trump to be the speaker?

Man with handgun who demanded to see Wisconsin Gov. Evers then returned to Capitol after posting bail
MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A man illegally brought a loaded handgun into the Wisconsin Capitol, demanding to see Gov. Tony Evers, and returned at night with an assault rifle after posting bail, a spokesperson for the state said Thursday.
The man, who was shirtless and had a holstered handgun, approached the governor’s office on the first floor of the Capitol around 2 p.m. Wednesday, state Department of Administration spokesperson Tatyana Warrick said. The man was demanding to see the governor, who was not in the building at the time, Warrick said.
A Capitol police officer sits at a desk outside of a suite of rooms that includes the governor’s office, conference room and offices for the attorney general.
The man was taken into custody for openly carrying a firearm in the Capitol, which is against the law, Warrick said. Weapons can be brought into the Capitol if they are concealed and the person has a valid permit. The man arrested did not have a concealed carry permit, Warrick said.
The man was booked into the Dane Count Jail but later posted bail.
He returned to the outside of the Capitol shortly before 9 p.m., three hours after the building closed, with a loaded assault-style rifle and a collapsible police baton in his backpack, Warrick said. He again demanded to see the governor and was taken into custody.
Madison police reported Thursday that the man, who was not named, was taken into protective custody and taken to the hospital. A spokesperson for the police department did not return an email seeking additional details.
“Capitol Police took control of the situation and so it’s over,” Evers told reporters Thursday.
He declined to comment on what security changes may be enacted for him or the Capitol building.
“I never, ever talk about what my security detail does or what they’re planning on doing,” Evers said. “But anytime something like this happens, obviously they reevaluate.”
The incident is just the latest in a series of violent threats against public officials.
Evers, a Democrat, was on a hit list of a gunman suspected of fatally shooting a retired county judge at his Wisconsin home in 2022. Others on that list included Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell. Whitmer was the target of a kidnapping plot in 2020.
Warrick said no immediate changes to security in the Capitol or for the governor were planned. The public has free access to the Capitol daily from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. There are no metal detectors.
Made the initial comment while a Republican. Made the second one after leaving the party.
I'm not entirely sure what point you (and the tweet[s]) are trying to make.
He doesn't like what Trump said the first time. He likes the second quote (also by Trump?) less. Considering he now is in the media, is it a surprise the second one feels more personal? He never said that he liked either.
If someone called me an enemy of the people, I probably wouldn't like that person very much in that moment.
Seems a weird thing to make a "big deal" of, to me.

This isn't the actual town I live in but it is close by. And as surprising as it may be, it's a rather affluent town at that. And as of yesterday it became even stranger. She came out and claimed she didn't ask them to be there. The the guy with all the tats came on Channel 5 and said she did ask them to be there and he was tired of her trying to throw them under the bus. You can click where it says "watch on youtube" to see these videos.
And the lot thickens.....

Not gonna lie this feels a bit staged. Like the reporter (or someone else) paid some actors to come get interviewed. Tattoo guy looks like a Nazi out of central casting. Maybe it's legit. But, I kind of feel like if Hanson is a Nazi, she likely didn't get where she is by being that indiscreet. Would any politician be dumb enough to post that guy outside? Just has my radar up a bit. Does it not feel right because "Nazis" in general or is there more to it. Is this where smear/disinformation campaigns are headed?
Maybe I've just been thinking about Russian media too much lately. But then, maybe political campaign consultants have been, too.
Edit: I mean maybe she is "secretly" a Nazi and someone decided this was how to bring it to light. Or maybe she's not a Nazi at all, but she's white, and politicians aren't known for their scruples or honesty when dealing with the other party.
So much fake news, it's hard to know what's real any more.

I've lived here for well over 10 years now. This same investigative reporter has unearthed a lot of corruption in politics in Nashville and the surrounding area. Even a story which ended up with the Republican speaker of the House being removed. Thus far all she is is a local alderman. Your false flag has no breeze to make it waver here. This women has a history. And I'm rather surprised you would even pose the question "Would any politician be dumb enough" in reference to any politician.

I considered posting this in the political joke thread. But since he was being serious I decided to post it here. A tribute to the great actor Hannibal Lecter.....

Not even Trump was that dumb. Close, but not quite.
Good reporters have been known to cross lines. And, as I said, he didn't even have to be in on it. Or there may have been a reason he crossed the line (i.e, her history.) Or it may be totally legit. Basically, it just kind of felt like there could be more to the story. It is hard to take anything one party says about the other as the absolute truth rather than some skewed version of the truth (or flat out lies) these days.
What can I say? My trust of politicians and the media is at an all time low. Both sides. All media.
I'm not saying I'd vote for her. Just saying I'm not sure that I'd vote for her opponent either. It's the same bad candidate complaint (/no good candidate) we've had elsewhere.

His record speaks for itself. So does hers. One of the members of that very group was walking side by side with her and sat next to her in the meeting. When the reporter started questioning her in the meeting, he moved to sit between her and the reporter. You're being ridiculous. It's a situation you haven't been following, know nothing about and are just throwing crap up against the wall.

Sadly, records aren't worth spit these days.
How's one supposed to find out if one doesn't ask questions? Almost feels like a "Methinks you doth protest too much" situation now. You hired them didn't you, Pit?
Edit: it's really not something to make light of. But, you seem to be the one being a little ridiculous considering what I actually said. I'm not trying to make something stick. Something just smells fishy.

I guess all of the video substantiating what I just stated means you believe a concocted theory is better than your lying eyes.
It's not that hard to make something fake look real. There's a whole tv genre based around it.
Edit: Governments have entire departments devoted to propaganda. Politicians are known to use smear campaigns. Is it really inconceivable to consider someone might try bringing those 3 things together?
You mess with the "Bull," you get the horns. Fiercely Independent.
Sure, that's what it is. All of the videos were doctored by a local TV station. An actual white supremacist club and its members which has been proven to exist does not really exist. Where did you purchase that shovel you're using to dig these rabbit holes with?
