Bills vs Bucs tonight ... I expect Buffalo to romp
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

I predict Baker will have a great game tonight. Why? Very simple. So we, as devoted Browns fans, can STEW even more over our QB situation!!!

Because they chose to move it to computer only, and none televised, I feel like Thursday night football has just Ceased to exist at all this year, and I'm aware the Browns will play on it twice at some point this year.
Really though, I can read the results tomorrow. There is no reason to follow a game they want to put on computer only.
It's not like the outcome will change if I wait and don't watch, If they wanted me to pay attention to their game, they could put it on TV like normal.
Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

I agree Throw. So instead of football I'll just watch a Western movie or some Gunsmoke and Tales of Wells Fargo episodes. That's always good TV!

I think those that are gonna stew are going to stew regardless of what Baker does. If Baker does well, some might add tears (crocodile and/or legit) to their already stewing pot.

It's still funny how when Baker was released by the Browns How many Baker Fans melted down in epic proportions I never seen a Browns player that Browns fans were so Emotionally attached to. Good gosh is so average

This Tampa offense is absolutely brutal to watch. Mike Evans has seemed so annoyed at several points throughout the game.
Field position has not helped Tampa.

Good gosh is so average Never seen a player help take a team from 1-32 to winning and get so little love from a fan base. Also funny to see you say Baker is average ... pretty sure we saw you post for 2 years that he wouldn't be in the NFL after he was shipped out of CLE. Funny how a pretty average TB team was in a position to win against one of the play off favorites with such an average team.
The more things change the more they stay the same.

tampa is a bad team ... they were fortunate to be in the game, but Buffalo was kinda sleepwalking too
Their offense is really bad IMO

I had been kind of ambivalent toward Baker since he had departed from our team, but I did kind of miss having him watching him play last night. Mostly because Watson has really stunk up the joint for the most part, or been absent. He did put "Full Baker" on display last night, though. That one TD pass he had on the quick slant where the ball was placed perfectly was eye popping. He also had his WTF moments, too.

I like Baker and wished him well when he left. I always hoped he would be good and our QB for many years. We’ve seen the best of Baker. He’ll never be better than he is right now. JMO

I agree .. Baker Is just a rollercoaster (of course, Watson has been atrocious) but Baker's time here ran its course

I was a full supporter of Baker until 2 incidents that showed me a lack of leadership. The first was his temper tantrum when he bolted of the field after a win (I think it was Detroit) without celebrating with teammates or even showing sportsmanship to the other side. IIRC it was a home game, and he was booed while he was playing hurt.
I hate booing the players/team you are there to support, but his teammates didn't do it.
Then after the season, when he knew he wouldn't be coming back, Baker spoke of how some of our players were only playing for money. To me, if he truly felt that way, a real leader would have brought this up in person, in the locker-room with the team, not as a parting shot. I also found it ironic he said that after turning down a pretty substantial extension offer. We can argue what the amount was, but credible sources said the Browns did make him an extension offer prior to year 5.
He pumped some life into the franchise with his enthusiasm, but to me, that same enthusiasm seemed a bit manufactured.
Anyway, just my opinion. I don't hate the guy or deny others their right to their own opinion. I certainly hope DW gets healthy and performs well, but there isn't a lot I can do about. Unfortunately we can't blow 3 first roudners on a QB, and have a 7th rounder come in and save us when that decision blows up.

The fact remains that Baker Mayfield who appears to be an immature and mediocre NFL QB was the best quarterback that suited up for the Browns since 99.
Sad, but true.
It was supposed to end with Watson being the savior. It has not.
I always will hope that Baker does well.
Welcome back, Joe, we missed you!

If Baker ever whittles down the chips (boulders) on his shoulders, so that they don't overwhelm his brain, he could be a good QB. He's got to learn to play smarter (and prepare) instead of all fire and effort. Fire and effort are great, but they've got to be tempered.

I find one thing in all of this rater odd. People complain that Stefanski has no fire or lacks having a chip on his shoulders on the sidelines during the games. Then they complain that Baker does.
Baker is an average QB. Nothing really special about him per say. I have seen him fire teams up and motivate them at times however. It's just never been on a consistent basis. I wasn't really upset that they tried to improve the QB position. I was upset by the player they chose to do that with.

The real core of the issue with Watson is that he obviously came here with baggage, a lot of baggage. Like, a TON of baggage. The ideal side was that he would come here and and the team would hopefully be a Super Bowl contender. The down side was a bottomless pit. We would sign a guy with a TON of baggage and he would suck, and be guaranteed $230M. So far, it looks like the latter is establishing itself over the course of a year...and I really can't see a way to correct it.

If his emotions are all over the place, it shows a lack of control. Plus, if he is upset easily, how does the team know when he is really upset. Kind of like the person who is constantly dropping F-Bombs. Where do you go from there if you really need to make a point, if it is part of your daily vocabulary?

And the receiver who could have caught that (I forgot who it was) wasn't aware the ball was right there for the catching. (Oops!)

Man I don’t wanna hear crap about our back up when the STARTER for the raiders is this garbage. So glad we never traded for Jimmy G.

The Browns had nowhere to go but up from 1 and 32. Yeah the Browns went to the playoffs with Baker. But that's his ceiling. That's his benchmark. Now if Baker can get a team to a SB...now that's IMPRESSIVE but he never will. He is a bridge QB at best.

The problem being is that there's 32 NFL teams and only, and this may be reaching a bit, but 10-15 QB's that one could honestly say aren't what one would consider a bridge QB.
