So still no direct statement from anyone in the squad "supporting violence against Jews". There's a difference in standing up against what they are saying, which I and many democrats are doing. They nor I are "being silent. Then there is making up a claim about something you claimed they said which they did not. And you have shown nothing to the contrary.

Furious Dem Slams ‘Squad’ Members for ‘Repulsive’ Statements on Israel Attacks

Democratic Representative Ritchie Torres called out his Democratic colleagues Reps. Cori Bush and Rashida Tlaib for their statement on the recent attacks on Israel by Palestinian militants, who have killed more than 700 people in total over the past two days. Tlaib, a member of the so-called ‘Squad’ of progressive lawmakers, first issued a statement on the attacks that called Israel an “apartheid system that creates the suffocating, dehumanizing conditions that can lead to resistance.” Tlaib also called for the U.S. to stop its funding for Israel, saying that as long as the U.S. provides “unconditional funding to support the apartheid government, this heartbreaking cycle of violence will continue.” Bush also called for the U.S. to halt funding to Israel. Torres called both statements “reprehensible and repulsive.” He also called for the U.S. to provide Israel with whatever it needs to defend itself from the attacks.

Letter to the editor: Remove traitorous ‘Squad’ now

As an American citizen and supporter of Israel, I would like the anti-Jewish rants of “the Squad” to be considered hate speech — and I would like to see them stopped once and for all through the resignation of these antisemitic members of Congress (“Tlaib blames Gaza hospital bombing on Biden’s support for Israel,” web, Oct. 17).

These individuals are inciting violence toward Jews in the U.S. and around the world. As supporters of terrorism aimed at destroying Israel and killing as may Jews as possible, they are also disloyal to this nation.

Israel has every right to defend itself against these animals and their Islamism. Hamas and Hezbollah should be treated like the rabid dogs they are and swiftly eradicated. The people who support these animals should be treated as the traitors they are and deported, starting with “the Squad.”

So still no statements from the squad "supporting violence against Jews". Sadly many Americans see innocent Palestinian citizens and Hamas as one in the same. The statements made by the squad are over the top, they are repulsive. But they are not "supporting violence against Jews".

Rep. Rashida Tlaib draws fire for not apologizing for saying Israel caused Gaza hospital blast
The backlash to Tlaib's remarks showed a divide within the Democratic Party.

Tlaib refuses to apologize for blaming Israel for Gaza hospital blast, attacks Biden

Democratic Rep. Rashida Tlaib, of Michigan, refused to apologize Wednesday for saying a day earlier that Israel is to blame for the hospital explosion that day in Gaza, despite evidence from the U.S. defense department that the blast was likely caused by an errant projectile from Palestinian Islamic Jihad.

A number officials in the US and around the world blasted Israel for what they believed was an attack on a civilian facility that left hundreds dead. But claims and evidence began to suggest that the Gaza hospital blast was likely caused by a Palestinian Islamic Jihad rocket that fell short of its target, two U.S. officials told ABC News. Still, what has happened has not conclusively been determined.

Tlaib and Rep. Ilhan Omar, a Minnesota Democrat, have been among Israel's strongest critics, with Tlaib accusing Israel of "oppressive & racist policies" in 2019. In February 2019, a tweet from Omar in response to a tweet from journalist Glenn Greenwald appeared to be using a common way of referring to $100 bills -- which feature Benjamin Franklin -- to suggest that many members of Congress support Israel because they get campaign donations from pro-Israel groups and individuals, evoking historical stereotypes linking Jews to money and influence. She later apologized for the tweet.

Their comments have at times been alleged by colleagues and others in congressional leadership to be antisemitic. But they have defended their views as legitimate, free speech in defense of the Palestinian cause.

Some of the criticism leveled against Tlaib and Omar over past comments has also been criticized as including Islamophobic or racist rhetoric.

Tlaib on Wednesday joined thousands of protesters calling for a ceasefire in Gaza during a solidarity rally hosted by the left-leaning group Jewish Voice for Peace at the National Mall. She was visibly emotional, at time, pausing her speech to openly weep and criticizing lawmakers who have not backed a proposed ceasefire resolution in Congress.

"As an American, not just as a member of the United States Congress, I am ashamed. I am ashamed that they're saying, 'not yet. Maybe next week.' ... How many more have to die?" Tlaib said.

She also addressed the backlash, applauding attendees for the "courage it's taken to speak up."

"The American Jewish community in my district, and all of you here. I just know how much courage it's taken to speak up. Many of you have been targeted. You're being gas lit. Some people are losing their jobs. Folks are getting events canceled. Literally, their First Amendment right wiped away for standing up and saying that children deserve to live. It is literally inhumane for my colleagues to allow that to continue and say nothing," Tlaib said.

Tlaib also slammed President Joe Biden for his support for Israel since the Hamas terrorist attack.

"To my president, to our president ... I want him to know, as a Palestinian American and somebody in Muslim faith, I'm not going to forget this. And I think a lot of people are not going to forget this," Tlaib said.

"President Biden, not all Americans are with you on this one and you need to understand that. We are literally watching people commit genocide and killing the vast majority just like this, and we still stand by and say nothing. We will remember this," she warned.

Omar is also facing criticism from Republicans over similar comments Tuesday that Israel is to blame for the hospital explosion that day in Gaza as Israel denies fault. As information about the hospital blast was initially being reported, Tlaib tweeted on Tuesday afternoon, "Israel just bombed the Baptist Hospital killing 500 Palestinians (doctors, children, patients) just like that. @POTUS this is what happens when you refuse to facilitate a ceasefire & help de-escalate. Your war and destruction only approach has opened my eyes and many Palestinian Americans and Muslims Americans like me. We will remember where you stood."

Omar tweeted on Tuesday afternoon, "Bombing a hospital is among the gravest of war crimes. The IDF reportedly blowing up one of the few places the injured and wounded can seek medical treatment and shelter during a war is horrific. @POTUS needs to push for an immediate ceasefire to end this slaughter."

On Wednesday evening, Omar replied to her original post, writing that it was based on initial reports and adding that the Israel Defense Forces and U.S. say the hospital was not struck by Israel.

"Our office cited an AP report yesterday that the IDF had hit a Baptist hospital in Gaza. Since then, the IDF denied responsibility and the US intelligence assessment is that this was not done by Israel," she wrote. "It is a reminder that information is often unreliable and disputed in the fog of war (especially on Twitter where misinformation is rampant). We all have a responsibility to ensure information we are sharing is from credible sources and to acknowledge as new reports come in."

Omar called for a "fully independent investigation to determine conclusively who is responsible for this war crime."

The backlash also showed continuing fault lines within the Democratic Party on Israel, with the two representatives standing out in criticizing Israel's government as other Democrats have said they do not believe Israel was responsible for the explosion.

But Biden said in remarks on Wednesday that the blast "appears [like] it was done by the other team."

Republican lawmakers called on the lawmakers to apologize and retract their tweets.

Rep. Mike Lawler, R-N.Y., wrote in a statement on Wednesday that Tlaib and others should apologize for their remarks about the hospital explosion.

"It is appalling and unacceptable that Democrats in Congress partook in Hamas' misinformation campaign. ... Rep. Tlaib and her radical colleagues helped spread this insidious lie far and wide, without remorse, and as of this morning have yet to take down their posts, issue an apology, or place blame on the actual perpetrators with the same conviction," Lawler wrote.

Lawler also said he hopes Tlaib and colleagues "can bring themselves to see this ugly truth, the hateful environment they have stoked, and understand the fear their Jewish constituents are feeling."

"It's sickening. And this right here is why Kevin McCarthy should still be speaker of the House because we should be pushing back on Tlaib right now. ... This is absurd for her to go out there and defend ... a known terrorist organization that has been recognized by the United States as a terrorist organization and then go against one of our strongest allies, Israel," he said on Fox News' "Fox and Friends."

Democratic lawmakers have not mentioned Tlaib or Omar by name but did criticize those who fault Israel for the blast without more information.

Rep. Ritchie Torres, D-N.Y., did not mention any politicians by name but slammed "critics" of Israel Wednesday morning for jumping to conclusions on the hospital blast.

"Critics falsely accused Israel of deliberately bombing a hospital before the facts were known. Did any of these critics condemn Islamic Jihad for causing the hospital explosion? Did any retract the false accusation?" Torres wrote.

"Erroneous reports and some Members of Congress took the word of Hamas terrorists as truth following the horrific Al-Ahli Arab Hospital bombing. They should remove their posts, update their headlines, and remember not to trust terrorists who brutally murdered innocent civilians," tweeted Rep. Josh Gottheimer, D-N.J., on Wednesday.

Following the Oct. 7 Hamas terrorist attack on Israel, Omar condemned the attack and Tlaib said she "grieve[d] the Palestinian and Israeli lives lost." Both called for a ceasefire.

Israel has suffered at least 1,400 deaths since Hamas launched a terrorist attack on Israel on Oct. 7, according to the Israeli Health Ministry. There have been at least 3,478 deaths in Gaza during the same period, per the Palestinian Health Ministry.

‘Squad’ Members Have Yet To Remove Tweets Blaming Israel For Hospital Bombing
Reps. Carson, Tlaib and Omar Speak On Islamophobia

Two Democratic lawmakers, who are part of the “Squad”‘ in Congress, have not removed their tweets blaming Israel for an explosion that occurred at a hospital in Gaza.

Hamas initially blamed Israel for an explosion that occurred at the Christian Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital in the Gaza Strip, but the Israel Defense Forces denied the claim and said that it was a failed rocket that caused the explosion. Democratic Michigan Rep. Rashida Tlaib and Democratic Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar made tweets on Tuesday blaming Israel, which have not been removed or changed. (RELATED: Rashida Tlaib Sobs As She Repeats Hamas Claim About Hospital Bombing)

“Israel just bombed the Baptist Hospital killing 500 Palestinians (doctors, children, patients) just like that,” Tlaib tweeted.

“Bombing a hospital is among the gravest of war crimes. The IDF reportedly blowing up one of the few places the injured and wounded can seek medical treatment and shelter during a war is horrific,” Omar tweeted.

Tlaib and Omar did not respond to multiple requests for comment from the Daily Caller News Foundation regarding their tweets still being up.

Intelligence reviewed by the Senate Intelligence Committee revealed on Wednesday that the explosion was likely the result of a failed rocket launch by terrorists, and not an Israeli airstrike, according to Democratic Virginia Sen. Mark Warner, who is the committee chair.

President Joe Biden told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during his visit to Israel that it appeared “the other team” is responsible.

Tlaib spoke at a pro-Palestinian rally on Wednesday and repeated the claim that the hospital explosion was a result of an Israeli airstrike.

“To continue to watch people think it’s okay to bomb a hospital where children … you know what’s so hard sometimes is watching those videos and the people telling the kids, ‘Don’t cry.’ I’m like, ‘Let them cry,'” Tlaib said.

The Squad's Socialist Party Rallies in Support of 'Palestine' Hours After Hamas Terror Attacks

Dem members silent on 'All Out for Palestine' demonstration as Israel faces worst assault in its history

The Democratic Socialists of America, which counts six House Democrats as members, will hold a rally in support of the Palestinian cause on Sunday, less than a day after terrorists in Gaza launched the worst domestic attack on Israel since the country's founding in 1948.

The political party's New York City chapter on Saturday announced its "All Out for Palestine" demonstration as rockets rained down on Israel from Hamas terrorists. The assault on the Jewish state, which included attacks on dozens of Israeli cities and towns, has left at least 250 dead and more than 1,400 wounded.

Included in the Democratic Socialists of America are four members of the left-wing "Squad"—Democratic Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (N.Y.), Rashida Tlaib (Mich.), Cori Bush (Mo.), and Jamaal Bowman (N.Y.)—as well as Rep. Greg Casar (Texas). None of their offices responded to a request for comment. Both Bowman and Ocasio-Cortez are members of the organization's New York chapter. Rep. Summer Lee (D., Pa.) left the party in 2021.

The lawmakers' affiliation with the Democratic Socialists of America is the latest incident of overt anti-Semitism from "Squad" members. Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.)—whom the Democratic Socialists of America has described as a "friend"—in February was removed from her post on the House Foreign Affairs Committee due to her history of anti-Semitic remarks. Omar in 2012 argued that "Israel has hypnotized the world." In 2019, she attacked the pro-Israel lobbying group American Israel Public Affairs Committee, saying that U.S. support for Israel is "all about the Benjamins baby."

Omar went on to compare the United States and Israel to terrorist organizations. The Democrat defended herself by claiming she was unaware there were "tropes about Jews and money."

The socialist "All Out for Palestine" rally will take place in Times Square and appears to endorse Hamas's attacks. The Democratic Socialists of America's New York chapter said its supporters are taking to the streets "in solidarity with the Palestinian people and their right to resist 75 years of occupation and apartheid."

Those who attend the protest, the New York City Democratic Socialists of America said on Twitter, should "mask up, and don't post pics of yourself or others during a protest." Participants should also refrain from discussing "stuff that may or may not have happened," the party said.

The attacks on Israel have shocked both the Jewish state and the international community. Videos show Hamas terrorists gunning down women and parading victims' bodies through the street.

Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared Saturday morning that the nation is "at war" and promised swift retribution. Hundreds of Israelis are being held hostage in Gaza.

Other groups who organized the Times Square protest include the Palestinian Youth Movement, the Party for Socialism and Liberation, New York 4 Palestine, Al-Awda NY, and the Palestinian Assembly for Liberation. Another group behind the protest, called "The People's Forum," tweeted a photo of its doors covered in fliers that said, "From the river to the sea Palestine will be free."

Seriously. lmao at least they didn't go far enough to make the claim it was a fact and then try and post tons of articles that shows it isn't a fact.

Let me know when the leader of the free world calls on his supporters to assemble and tell them to fight like hell. One called for violence. You can show nowhere that those you claimed did so actually did so in this case.

'Squad' Democrats vote against condemning 'barbaric' Hamas attack on Israel
'Squad' members unanimously refused to support anti-Hamas resolution

If you support terrorism, there should be consequences: Sen. Tim Scott
2024 presidential candidate Sen. Tim Scott explains his call to remove foreign students supporting terrorism on ‘Your World.’

A group of House Democrats made up primarily of far-left "Squad" members voted against a resolution Wednesday to condemn the "barbaric" Oct. 7 attack on Israel by Hamas terrorists.

H.R. 771, which reaffirms America's support for Israel as it responds to the attack, received overwhelming bipartisan support and passed by a vote of 412-10 with six members voting present.

The 10 members voting against the resolution included six of the eight "Squad" members: Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-NY., Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., Jamaal Bowman, D-N.Y., Summer Lee, D-Pa., and Cori Bush, D-Mo. They were joined by Reps. André Carson, D-Ind., Al Green, D-Texas, and Delia Ramirez, D-Ill.

The remaining two "Squad" members, Reps. Greg Casar, D-Texas, and Ayanna Pressley, D-Mass., were joined by Reps. Joaquin Castro, D-Texas, Nydia Velázquez, D-N.Y., Jesús "Chuy" Garcia, D-Ill., and Pramila Jayapal, D-Wash., in voting present.

One Republican, Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., voted against the resolution over concerns it could deepen the conflict, but explicitly condemned the attack by Hamas and affirmed Israel's right to defend itself unlike some members of the "Squad."

The vote came just hours after newly-elected House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., vowed his first action would be to bring the resolution the floor as a statement in support of Israel.

WATCH: ILHAN OMAR BREAKS DOWN IN FIT OF RAGE AIMED AT BIDEN, DEMOCRAT LEADERSHIP OVER SUPPORT FOR ISRAEL

Far-left Squad Members
Members of the far-left "Squad" from left to right: Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., Cori Bush, D-Mo., Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., and Ilhan Omar, D-Minn. (Getty Images)

Last week, Omar broke down in a fit of rage aimed at President Biden and Democrat leadership over their support for Israel amid the war with Hamas. Her angry comments came during a press conference with fellow "Squad" members calling for a ceasefire in the war.

It came just one day after she was forced to walk back comments blaming Israel for the Gaza hospital explosion that U.S. intelligence determined was not from a projectile launched by the Israeli Defense Forces. However, she failed to offer an apology.

Other "Squad" members have also faced sharp criticism for their response to the attacks, including Tlaib, who repeated Hamas talking points that Israel was responsible for the hospital explosion despite the findings by U.S. intelligence.

So a thread about violence in the US by "Patriots" gets turned into "The Squad" and their positions about Palestine.

OK, gotcha, but put it in the loony Democrats thread.

He must have meant the violence where an American Palestinian mother and her six year old child were stabbed, killing the child by their landlord.

Somehow he's trying to make the false equivalency that parading a bunch of election deniers telling their followers the election and country was being stolen from them and they needed to fight in order to prevent that, then sending them to the actual scene of the crime is the same thing as what the Squad is doing. He claimed that they are "supporting violence against Jews" while failing to provide an ounce of evidence that's so.

Their bait and switch con game comes straight from the book of trump.

Let me show you what "supporting violence against Jews" actually looks like since it seems you are having a hard time comprehending what that means...............

Hamas Attack Draws Cheers from Extremists, Spurs Antisemitism and Conspiracies Online

As the deadly assaults on Israel continue, extremists, antisemites and conspiracy theorists are flocking to online spaces to cheer for Hamas, threaten further violence against Israel and Jewish people worldwide and float absurd, often antisemitic conspiracies about the “real” perpetrators or cause of the terror attacks.
Extremists Celebrate the Attack on Israel

Some white supremacists are celebrating Hamas’s attack on Israel. Chairman of the antisemitic National Justice Party (NJP) Mike Penovich posted on Telegram, “Hats off to the Palestinians for taking bold and courageous action in their own cause and showing us that the Zionist regime is not invincible.” He called out right-wing nationalists who are not actively celebrating the attack, demanding, “Who’s paying you? Who are you afraid of? Is the Overton window shifting enough for you yet?”

Nathan Damigo, the founder of the now defunct which supremacist group Identity Evropa, wrote on his Telegram channel, “From the river to the sea Palestine will be free!” and “Hamas really took #BantheADL to the next level.” Meanwhile, a leader of the white supremacist New Jersey European Heritage Association complained that the attack will result in “a new batch of migrants coming to America. Privileged supremacist Jews fleeing chaos they provoked like the cowardly rats they are. They will immediately jump to the head of the line.”

Jon Minadeo, the leader of the antisemitic Goyim Defense League (GDL), posted on Gab “PALESTINIANS ARE KILLING THE SYNAGOGUE OF SATAN. God bless these brave men of Palestine.” While GDL supporters in the network’s telegram channel noted their happiness with posts such as, “Woke up to kikes in Israel getting their comeuppance. Life is good.” and “What a wonderful Shabbot [sic] today goys!”

Communications channels associated with the Islamic State (IS) are likewise seeing calls for violence against Israel and its supporters. Although IS views Hamas as theologically illegitimate, IS writers have expressed joy at seeing the Hamas attacks on Israel. One IS supporter posted on Telegram: “The Operation in Palestine today is just another” of Allah’s wonders. Other narratives from jihadist spaces characterize Hamas terrorists as martyrs, hope for additional casualties and see the conflict as a sign of end times to come.
Antisemitism Spikes on Social Media

In the wake of the attack on Israel, antisemitic rhetoric spiked across social media platforms, particularly on extremist favorites 4chan and Telegram. This includes a rise in the use of phrases that call for violence against Jews, Israelis and Zionists.

The ADL Center on Extremism continuously monitors violent language and threats against the Jewish community/Israel in extremist spaces. While there is always an undercurrent of this hateful rhetoric, in the 18 hours since this conflict began, this type of rhetoric has spiked significantly.

Our data show extremists appear to be emboldened by the Hamas attack, and have increased their violent rhetoric, posting hate filled messages and calls for further aggression against Israel and its supporters. On October 6, 2023, the day before the attack, there were 59 Telegram messages from extremists threats and calls for violence against Jews, Israelis and Zionists. However, in the first 18 hours of October 7, 2023, this number surged to 347 Telegram messages, marking an alarming increase of approximately 488 percent.

There are also posts in which antisemites and white supremacists discuss hopes of similar future violence against Jews in America, using antisemitic slurs and white supremacist terms including “day of the rope” to refer to the attacks against Israel.

Antisemitic & Anti-Israel Conspiracy Theories Surface Online

By mid-day on October 7, 2023, a range of antisemitic and anti-Israel conspiracy theories were circulating.

Some claimed that Hamas is controlled opposition directed by Israel. “Shadow of Ezra,” a large QAnon related Telegram channel, posited that the attack is a false flag attack orchestrated by Mossad designed to give Israel the opportunity to grab more land and create “Greater Israel,” reflecting a classic antisemitic conspiracy theory.

Others believe that such a surprise attack by Hamas is unlikely or even impossible, citing Israel’s extensive intelligence networks, and claiming that Israel knew about the attack ahead of time but chose not to act preemptively to justify the "ethnic cleansing" of Palestinians. White supremacist Nick Fuentes pushed this narrative on Telegram, writing that Israel’s intelligence failure “is a little suspicious in light of how the Likud government will benefit politically from this crisis both domestically and internationally.”

On X, a popular antisemitic influencer who goes by Lucas Gage posted several antisemitic and anti-Zionist conspiratorial claims. In one post, he alleged that Israel does not deserve sympathy because it helped coordinate the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, a common antisemitic conspiracy theory. In another post, Gage blamed "our Zionist Occupied Govt," an antisemitic reference to the U.S. government.

Antisemitic conspiracy theorist David Icke also discussed the attack on X, alleging that Netanyahu and Hamas are "owned by the Global Cult" and that the attacks are another step towards World War 3.

I’m tired hearing the IRAN connection. I’m focusing in on Putin. Iran is in Putin’s pocket and he has those ties with Syria. I’m betting he’s pulling a bunch of strings causing more chaos in the Middle East. Just saying.

I agree with your assessment. Putin used Iranians to help support his war and now he is supporting them thru the terrorist organizations they sponsor.

The world just goes mad from time to time. We are entering one of those times.

I say pray, hope, whatever it is you do and do the best you can to prepare for some tough times be is supply chain disruptions where common goods are in short supply and or civil unrest, which will follow. Many people won't prepare and will start running out of food and supplies. When that happens they will start to look in neighbors cupboards as uninvited guests. You have to be ready and able to let them know they best look somewhere else.

If everybody had like minds, we would never learn.

I agree, he's attempting to spread us out so we can't help Ukraine as much.

So you would actually let your neighbor starve and threaten violence against them in wartime rather than fight the common enemy together. Nice.

During times of survival you never know who your enemy will become. I don't see the current circumstances becoming one of those situations but if it became the choice between your family surviving or not, wouldn't you consider those trying to take the very things your family needs to survive as your enemy?

Times of survival? Like earthquakes, floods, tornadoes, hurricanes maybe. In time of war, why would my neighbor steal from me while we’re working together collectively fiercely fighting a common enemy in peens wild senerio.

I'm thinking you have no idea how human beings as a whole act and conduct themselves during desperate times of survival. If you somehow think all of your neighbors are going to work collectively with you during such times I think if we ever see such times in our life you will be terribly disappointed. My dad grew up during the depression. He told me stories that described to me just how far people will go. One thing about it, music changes, fashion changes, technology advances and our surroundings change. One thing that never changes is how the human mind functions. A large part of our society revolves around power and greed. And maybe the word neighbor is different for some people. It may not be people on your block. It may be people from a different neighborhood or town. But when people become desperate they will resort to desperate things. Make no mistake about that or the mistake you make could cost you more than it seems you currently think it will.

That's certainly one possibility. But not the only one.

Political violence begets civil war. The only other thing would be global climate change to a level that creates a high level of human suffering. Oh wait never mind. We’re doomed.

Neither of those two things caused the great depression. Desperation and human beings survival instincts also begets violence in whatever form that takes. It seems as though that concept isn't something you're open to considering but that doesn't change it.
