In Flacco we trust , but we have to find way to get running game going to do anything in playoffs. Hopefully the kickers are ok. Short week

This team might have been unbeatable fully healthy with Flacco. Imagine the PA he’d get with Chubb

Seriously you are the most negative poster on this board
In every game day thread, Browns winning or losing you want Stefanski and Berry fired along with Haslam selling the team
And yet you say in Flacco we trust
Do you have any idea how Flacco even ended a Brown ?
And the fact he said he loves this team and would never go anywhere else
That has a bit of a say in the FO and team
You are a pathetic Browns fan, if you even are
You are probably some Steeler or Bengal fan
lol triggered much , you’re a pretty dumb dude apparently. I have been a fan of Flacco being here. wtf about anything in my post had to do with being negative. lol I love that your little brain gets melted by something someone on the internet posts. Go outside some

ST today were the lemon, can't help the injuries but with a short week with holidays finding a replacement kicker/punter going to be tough. If we recover the 1st onside kick I think we don't give up their last TD at all but still won by 2 scores, with a kicker we could've added 9 more points on FGs

My little brain is bigger than your losing negative ball sack
When we go back to Watson next year I will be crying that we actually had a QB who could read the defense stand strong in the pocket and run Stefanski's play action game to perfection.
Until then I guess I will enjoy it, thank you Flacco. This is a hell of a run.
Anyone else thinking Flacco is going to make Thursday personal
Hopefully he won't have the negative losing mentality you have
You will make it personal
You will post your stupid firing everybody posts all game long
Send your negativity across every game day thread
Boohoo. Do you need a binky? This post is hilarious. Anyone that thinks a qb who is having a resurgence gets to play the team that cut him during a playoff run isn’t thinking about going out there and killing them is just silly or have never played competitive sports. And did I call for anyone today other than ventrone to be fired, which I stand by and I think will be . Amazing what winning does. But anyone that doesn’t think there should be accountability for the bad drafting and horrible contracts is just a homer

The Defense let you down again on the road, not 60 minutes of consistent play.
The D coaches, let you down AGAIN ON THE ROAD, the D scheme let you down AGAIN on the road, The D Coordinator, and coordination, and ANALYTICs let you down AGAIN on the road,
they let ANOTHER TEAM back into a game after you had dominated them, YOU GAVE THEM LIFE, WITH YOUR OWN stupidity and arrogance and
@uitting before the game was over, they took the players off the field, they took their foot off the gas,
incredible unbelievable Only IN CLEVELAND would they so ruin a good day,
by giving up on a game with twelve minutes to play.
No gameball for the coach, in fact whatever is an anti gameball,
Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

Watson won't play more than 6 games next year either. I mean? what could one expect.

Great win. Weird conditions losing all kicking. Made it feel closer than it ever really was. We dominated. Coach took the opportunity to get back up players real time. It didn’t go as plan. He adjusted. We put the game away.

With the Bills winning last night, makes it that the Browns have to keep winning
In a way that may be the thing that keeps the winning mind set on the Browns team
Got to go forward winning, no time to relax might be what KS is saying to his team
I understand the thought process about subbing-in when you're way ahead, but please Kevin don't ever do that again....
I thought the same thing until Z Smith went down. It scared me a bit, especially since I was driving and listening to the radio when it happened. It was hard to know if it was serious.
He got up on his own and walked off. As a matter fact prior to falling to the ground with the injury he was walking fine. Then went down. My guess it was a ‘breather’ injury. Gave the team a rest and reset. My guess is it won’t end up on the injury report.
I watched the whole game ... the offensive passing game was such a joy. Flacco to Cooper was electric. Sprinkle in Njoku and we are humming.
As we've said, if only we could pair it with a consistent running game.
The defense was really good too. Secondary and Z were good.
Only bummer was Hopkins

No I'm good ! I don't need a binky, I'm not boo hooing ! Actually having a victory shot. Don Julio Blanco
As far as amazing what winning does and the accountability for the bad drafting and horrible contracts being a homer
I never thought of myself as a homer
But if it takes bad drafting and horrible contracts to win with all the injuries and possibly be playing in the play-offs
Then yes ! put me on the homer list. Or maybe I can't believe it list
And you calling me a pretty dumb dude, I would prefer you say I'm not a very intelligent Browns Fan, makes me feel stupider than what you want to portray me as.
The last 6 minutes of the game felt like an hour. Please KS don't do that again! On the other side, thanks for the win!!!!!
And if one of the guys got hurt, the rally cry would have been is why did you have the starters in the game? Had we covered that onside kick, it would have been completely different.
If everybody had like minds, we would never learn.
We have people complaining when we won by 14 .... with both kickers injured in this game, and half the team on one IR list or another.

I know anything can happen, but we are 1 game up in total record and 2 up in AFC conference games record which is the first deciding tie breaker for wild card IIRC.
I think we can wrap up a playoff spot with a win next week. (which would give us a staggering 11 wins, which could only be matched by Buffalo, and no one else)

We will clinch a playoff spot if we beat the Jets.
A qin Thursday vs the Jets clinches a playoff spot. A win by the 49ers contributes toward us winning our division. A win by the Cowboys and the Raiders contributes toward us being the #1 seed.

I say this to all the reasonable adults on this forum… 1. Expand your ignore list. There are children running amok. And oh, such fragile children they are. But they’re ghosts to me. I only see them in y’all’s reactions to them. You know who they are. I suggest you remove them from your purview
2. Don’t spend a lot of time in the gameday thread. If you’re like me and a sizable percentage of the inhabitants are in ignore it’s pretty quiet and a little weird anyway. But there’s just no point

This is not the team that started the season. They are fun to watch and getting better as Flacco gets more time with the team. A big strong armed QB can make a difference. Nice quality throws by Joe.
The D normally has saved the O.
Not today.
Two very winnable games coming up.
I just wish that Chubb could be part of the success.

I don't think its crazy to think of flacco as Comeback player of year, if we win out and lets say win 1 game in playoffs. If we win 2+ games then MVP absolutely comes in to the conversation.

Flacco now has 200 yards more than Watson for this season in two fewer games.
more TDs than all the previous 3 QB's combined

Flacco in the playoffs is a different dude, He's done things only Tom brady can say he's done, the biggest thing is his ability win playoff games on the road, he's won as many as Brady with less opportunities. He also took Manning and Brady out in the same playoff run

This was perfect. Coach Stef ftw! (Coach Stef for COtY)
3&out:
1. Flacco/Coop is the future for this season. As goes 15/2, so go the Browns. No prettier-looking long ball in the league. Having a deep threat gives this team a chance in every game they play between now and February.
2. Zero kicking crew at the end of this game is a real concern. I hope that both guys are merely dinged, and not forcing Andrew Berry to find new Browns just before the tournament. But, what else should we expect after a year like this? Elves ain't making excuses, so why should we?
3. I am an enthusiastic member of The Bonefish Browns Fan Faithful. I haven't had this much fun watching a Browns team since the Kardiac Kid days. Every week, a new calamity befalls these people... And every week, they find a new way to keep on keeping on. IMHO, this is what it's supposed to feel like to be a fan of a legitimate NFL team. Like BoneI, I'm reveling in the fact that December is almost over... and the Browns are still in the thick of it.
4th, and go for it:
Regardless of how this drama plays out for 2023, I see the nucleus of a team that can be a perennial contender in the AFCN, going forward. Berry and Stef need contract extensions, 76 Berea needs to remain stable, and Browns fans should be able to look forward to a good number of years of entertaining football. A winning culture is now being established. Players have bought in, and the table is set. Continue upon this course, and IMHO, Dawgs are set to feast after a long, long fast.
IIRC, Stefanski has an unbelievable record against the AFC South (and NFC South for that matter)

Same. Thought they would change the feed over to Sunday Ticket since the local feed stopped and I don’t think they ever did. Definite gap in Sunday Ticket coverage.
Positives -
Unbelievable feeling to root for a team that you feel has a chance to win every week, then goes out and wins.
I thought if we got into the playoffs, we’d be one and done. With the way Flacco is playing, with this defense, and with no real dominant teams in the NFL, the Browns have a legit shot to go all the way.
We have to resign Cooper right?
Alex Wright is starting to flash. Great use of hands today.
What a ride this season has been.
Negatives -
Moore was not worth a second round pick. Classic case of liking a prospect coming out, missing on said prospect, having a chance to land prospect for premium compensation…all while ignoring all the evidence that suggests it was a bad idea…just because you liked the guy coming out.
After an embarrassing week of pressers designed to build up Garrett’s confidence and lobby the media for him to be DPOY, he now has five straight games without a sack. I get he had two tfls, but no one tapers off at the end of a season like Garrett….whether it be due to injury, suspension, asthma, car accidents. 13 sacks is an embarrassingly low number of sacks for a guy who is supposed to be the best defensive player in the nfl. 5 games without a sack…meanwhile Watt is about to lead the league in sacks for a third time. No one plays the bridesmaid better than Garrett.
LOL - The Rish will be upset with this news as well. KS just doesn't prioritize winning...
Quincy Carrier @Kwen_C Kevin Stefanki is now 10-0 vs AFC South in his HC career\

- Another week, another win. This game was over from the get go.
- Browns will win out and Stefanski will collect another COY award.
- Stefanski, Flacco and Cooper we're having a blast dunking all over the Texans today. Great scene w/ Cooper and his arm around Stefanski and both in smiling spirits.
- The easy win allowed the Browns to only play Ward on obvious passing downs.
- Shelby Harris bats down passes.
- Get well Hopkins and Bojorquez.
- I absolutely wanted to see D'Anthony Bell attempt an XP.
- Nice game from Zadarius Smith.
- JOK has grown as a player and leader as the season has gone on.
Game Ball: Amari Cooper (congrats on being the 1st Browns receiver to have multiple 1000 yd receiving seasons and a career best in receiving yards).

Thinking back to the overwhelming hopelessness we felt and how the life was sucked out of us when Mister Chubb went down, this team has won games facing adversity like no other.....and that's not an embellishment. The Browns leadership has led this team thru uncharted territory, overcoming one horrible obstacle after another....like it's business as usual. Flacco has been an amazing story, but we beat the two best teams in the NFL without him. This season will go down as one of the most memorable in Browns history. And it's faaaaar from over.

I agree with the fun part: this team is fun. They are together, believe that we will win, give a lot of effort, and have good personalities.

This team might have been unbeatable fully healthy with Flacco. Imagine the PA he’d get with Chubb
I was thinking the same thing. Flacco brings maturity and experience. If we'd have had him all year and a few fewer injuries, like Chubb and our line, damn, we'd be unstoppable.. I'm convinced of it.

Some teams (and some people) actually do better with one arm tied behind their back, so to speak. When they have the full complement of resources they over-think and misuse their tools. It’s kind of a “paradox of choice” problem.(There’s a great book, Tedtalk, by Barry Schwartz about it.)
But when the ingredients list is seriously curtailed, they get much more intentional and direct in their approach. I found myself wondering yesterday if that isn’t Stefanski. His first season he’s hit with the Covid limitations for practice and prep. This year it’s the unbelievable avalanche of injuries.
Insert Flacco, who has nothing to prove, is just playing for the fun of it and to show off for his kids, coupled with a team that anyone who’s actually keeping track would give a pass for losing against halfway decent opponents and you have a team that probably doesn’t feel the performance pressure in the same way other teams in our position would. That’s my take anyway.
The old saying that there’s no more dangerous an opponent than the one with nothing to lose kinda holds. At this point, I wouldn’t want to play against us and I wouldn’t bet against us. The “wild card” moniker that comes with our entrance to the playoffs is apt to say the least.

We have to face the fact that the running game may not return this year. The Browns are on their third right tackle and second left tackle this year. Patchwork at its best. There was a reason as to why the players were backups or free agents. Yet, the Browns manage to stitch together wins in all manner and form.
The job of a head coach is to adapt to the skill set of the players, in order to win games. I feel that KS has done exactly that. I know that there will be chatter above what he has and has not done, and second guessing the Cleveland coach is a time honored tradition here. But, this year, the coach is doing exactly what he should be doing with success. Good job, KS.
No coach has a right to go out and win with 4 different starting quarterbacks, and that win was with style.
So cut the chatter, and enjoy the ride. It has been a great year, totally unexpected after Chubb, then Watson went down.
Regarding the running game, it's going to be difficult. Even with the group that is out there now, it's hard to gel when there is always someone coming out for an injury or missing a game. That's not taking in account what you already said about our tackles.
One thing that is tipping this off in my opinion is look at all the variety of run plays Stef has been calling the past few weeks. A decent portion of the running plays have been a misdirection or trying to use visual deception with the linebackers to confuse. Think about last year or the beginning of this year. Most of the running plays were more smash mouth, basically saying we are going to line up to run and you aren't going to stop it. Now fast forward to the past few games. You are seeing more of unconventional running formations like: Hunt in the shotgun, Flacco out wide, faking the toss back to Flacco and running (or flipping it to him for a pass).
At least the tackles have been serviceable in the pass game.
Ford and Hunt are limited runners. The tackle play is below average.
We still ran the ball 30 times. We gained 54 yards.
We will continue to run in order to set up play action. But it is unrealistic to believe we are a real threat running the ball. We are now a passing offense.
That is what is working. Until a team can stop us. We do what we can till we need to try something else.
I agree, Damanshot. Flacco's maturity is evident; apparently some QB's do not rust as fast or as badly as others. A real difference that I see is Flacco's composure. As we pass more, he seems truly calm at the snap despite the replacement linemen or those playing injured. He is smooth reading, moving the D, and usually throws on time from the pocket smoothly. It seems more confident and assured when contrasted with Watson's snaps, not all of them, when he freezes and flushes, until he delivers a ball as he freelances. Both have success; I don't care who wins us games or how. We need Watson's legs more than ever; the stats for Flacco have been fun. The picks, not at all. I just favor the mesh I am feeling with Ski and Flacco, and it seems that it may be building. I hope the D can compensate for our diminished run game. Unleash the Elf! Go, 'Niners!

Being on the verge of clinching the playoffs is just the best feeling ever. I'm so excited! I feel we have the talent and the coaching to hang with any team.
Last time we made the playoffs was awesome, but I didn't feel the same about that team. I really like this year's team (and think we can play with anyone)
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."
Our D keeps us in any game. Now that Flacco is hooking up with Cooper and Njoku, even if our run game is suspect, we’re a legit threat to any team. I’ll fear no team we will play in January.
Even with the Ravens win last night. Our boat sails on its own course.
Because of all the adversity the Browns have faced they have been forged through fire. If we are now locked into the 5th seed with a win Thursday. So be it.
Maybe it is not a bad thing to face the South winner. We beat every team in the South.
We beat the Ravens in their home. So if needed we can do it again.
How ironic would that be? Go to Baltimore and beat them with Flacco. Who that's gottta hurt.
I understand the thought process about subbing-in when you're way ahead, but please Kevin don't ever do that again....
I like the idea of taking our guys out, especially with how many injuries we've had... but maybe we took them out just a little too early... but frankly, if we get the on-side kick we could have left our backups in
Either way - hell of a game. Cooper is amazing! Not only setting the most yards for a WR in browns history, but at least 3 catches were highlight reel... unbelievable...
and I know we were playing the Texans' backup QB, but defense was on point! It would have been interesting to see how we faired against CJ...
hoping Hopkins heals up... glad we signed a back up, especially for Thursday... but we need Hopkins healthy...
Dominate win... especially on the road against a team trying to make the playoffs and win their division.... great game...
Now, let's finish the season right and go into the Playoffs hot..
Anyone that thinks a qb who is having a resurgence gets to play the team that cut him during a playoff run isn’t thinking about going out there and killing them is just silly or have never played competitive sports. But anyone that doesn’t think there should be accountability for the bad drafting and horrible contracts is just a homer
You know, I actually don't disagree with any of this. It's just been a long time since we've had a QB who can deliver the ball like Flacco is doing. It's been a long time since we've seen this team come together in the face of adversity with all of these injuries and tough it out by continuing to win football games. It's been a long time since we've seen this team gaining momentum going into the playoffs. In a scenario which on paper would seem as though the Browns are a team that couldn't possibly be winning football games, they are.
So while I'm certainly not trying to dissuade you from posting as you wish, I hope you can understand why some fans would prefer to put the negatives on the back burner just long enough to enjoy the moment for a while. It's a moment in time like one they haven't had in a long time. Sit back , breathe and enjoy it while you can. It might be worth a try.
