"Those people" were not innocent Palestinian citizens. You still can't seem to grasp the difference. But once again, you are not alone. I stand with the Israeli people. I however won't excuse their government's purposeful slaughter of innocent Palestinian civilians. It appears as though some of you do.

You do realize bunker busters are bigger, right? And bunker busters would still have to go through the hospitals, and the schools, and the homes to 'bust a bunker', right?

Those tunnels run for miles. You don't have to bomb the hospital to gain access to the tunnels. Actually I haven't seen one instance where Israel has tried or claimed to have tried to expose tunnels by bombing hospitals. See, this is what happens when you don't read the thread. I explained clearly that the U.S. uses 500 lb. bombs when they have identified a target. There's certainly no way to stop civilian casualties but there are certainly ways to hit your target while reducing civilian casualties.

And it appears you have no idea how bunker buster bombs are different than other bombs. Bunker busters are designed in a manner that their explosives are delayed until after they have penetrated under the ground. That is how and why they are able to penetrate deep under ground unlike the bombs Israel are using which explode on impact sending the their explosives outwards doing so much damage for such a wide distance.

Just send in their troops? What part of using 500 lb. bombs instead did you miss?

The misrepresentation and excuses for the slaughter of innocent Palestinians amazes me. Hamas hasn't allowed an election since 2006. I guess if they're talking about a forced marriage at this point with it being a crime to get a divorce they may be on to something. But this has all gone beyond ridiculous.

Nobody is making excuses as you continually say here. It’s a war we aren’t fighting. We can’t do anything about it but watch. The only excuses I hear is you excusing the Palestinians for not rebelling against Hamas to rid themselves of them by force. I’ll tell you why they don’t. Most of the fighting force of Hamas is Palestinians, living in Gaza with their civilian families. So you can stop repeating that all these innocent civilians have nothing to do with Hamas whatsoever. You know they are the same civilians that danced in he streets as they paraded through Gaza city showing off the hostages they took from Israel. Hamas and Palestine are 1. That’s not an excuse it’s a fact.

I don't think you actually know anything about it accept the things you decide to listen to. Those women and children being slaughtered with 2000 lb. bombs are not Hamas. No amount of your rationalizations will change that. These women and children aren't going to fight against Hamas with rocks and be slaughtered by the other side either. Making excuses why it's okay to use weapons to kill as many women and children as possible is something I never thought I would see you do. I was wrong.

Reminds me of my Vietnam experience- first day at my post/base- went "downtown" in small village had a Saigon tea with a buddy showing me the ropes- next day the village was "off limits" for the entire 364 days- flying my helicopter off to the war- got shot at as we left from the "suburbs" of the village- Rules of Engagement- they could shot, we couldn't because we'd hurt civilians...fifty years forward- same stuff- enemy embedded in population----there are no winners---we humans kill each other for money, land, "revenge"- ain't we great......Happy New Year---it will continue till the end of time.

When you have to resort to something like this it speaks volumes.

I highly respect the Vietnamese. They fought off the French, USA, Russia and Chinese aggression for decades and won. Basically with rocks.

This is basically what Swish was pointing out - rules of engagement. Driven by and demanded by international law ... and yet in Gaza we've witnessed complete disregard for this, the numbers of innocents killed and specifically women and children is completely disproportionate to the numbers of Hamas killed. The destruction of infrastructure and the leveling of Gaza has been systematic and indiscriminate. And somehow some people think that because of an horrendous terrorist attack occured on Oct 7th - somehow these things are justifiable. Whether you want to call it genocide like some governments around the world now have - doesn't really matter as the result is the same.

True … it also doesn’t have anything to do with Hamas with Palestinian soldiers indiscriminately killing and taking Jews hostage just before Gaza was to have an open and free election late in 2023. So deflecting away from what Palestinian soldiers did for Hamas in Israel is as significant.

Palestinian soldiers? So on one hand the killing of innocent Israeli civilians is a crime against humanity but when Israel does it to innocent Palestinian civilians there's a different set of rules? And here I thought the actions of nations like Israel and the U.S. were supposed to rise to a higher standard than terrorists. I guess since Israel is using bombs to do their killing it somehow makes it all better?

Yes, Palestinian soldiers. They make up most of the Hamas fighting force as I’ve mentioned numerous times. They live and hide amongst civilians in Gaza. They kill Jews for Hamas. Then they all celebrate in the streets of Gaza when successful. Hamas and the Palestinian liberation army before them has never paid the consequences of doing so on the world stage until now. I don’t make the rules or excuse or condemn Israel leaders on how they fight their battles. It’s not my battle or war. As an observer of the Middle East and in depth study of how religion escalates tensions between countries causing their wars, it’s no surprise it continues and I’m basically numb to their insanity as they all continue to wage war. The USA involvement is also insane. It’s basically the reason the Arab world hates US. Killing… in the name of god.

I guess that's one of the differences between us. I never grown numb to innocent civilians being slaughtered be they Jewish, Christian, Arab, African or otherwise.
