I found a Nintendo Wii before christmas. Got it on thursday.
Was wondering what games I should look at buying for it?

Super Mario Galaxy and Medal of Honor Heroes 2 are my top 2 games. Make sure you get a recharger for you're wii remote, regular batteries die to fast with long game play.

As far as your games question, well that depends on what type of games you like.

I freakin walked into a Best Buy on Friday and they had a huge shipment as I arrived... I have already had mine for a year, but I found it funny how I always seem to find the impossible to find when I don't even want it yet I work at a game store and people are constantly asking for the Wii... I wish those people would be the lucky ones!

I had Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Party 8 in my hand for my 8 year old and I ended up buying Super Mario Party 8.. I hope I didn't make a mistake.
I bought him his Wii 3 months ago and he will get it tomorrow.. He has no clue, it is going to be awesome..

My little brother got a wii for Christmas. Kind of funny how my parents found it, they gave up on looking for a wii for him but while my dad was in best buy looking for a 400 dollar laptop, he saw one last wii left (this was week before christmas). He got a nice surprise when he opened his presents last night.  For a 8 year old, mario party is a good game, mario galaxy could be a little to hard for him.

I'll tell you what, someone is really trying to tempt me to buy a Wii. On Friday, I walked into Best Buy and saw 6 of them just sitting there. This is the third time I've walked into a store and saw them. By the way, when I walked by again about 10 minutes later, there was only one left, lol.

I don't have the money to do so right now otherwise I would. I am getting a Wii though from a friend. At my grad school, the Montana Rep is based in house. This years national tour is about to head out (it literally lasts the entire semester) so I'm going to borrow a friends Wii who is going on the tour

My family got a Wii and an XBox 360 for Christmas. I can tell you the Wii is getting far more playing time than the 360. We only have the Wii Sports, Wii Play (only worth the extra remote) and Tiger Woods Golf. My family can't put it down.
My wife is the only one really interested in the 360. We got Rockband with it and she is addicted.

nice My brother got one for himself (and his kids) around Thanksgiving. For Christmas I went all stupid and bought them like all of the controllers they could ever need and a copy of Super Mario Galaxy. My favorite so far has gotta be Bowling... but the classic games has gotta be nice too. True Christmas Wii Story: Myself and all my siblings and their youngins are at my Dad's house on Saturday evening and my brother brought the Wii for the kids to play (and us, hehe). My niece (4 yrs old) comes into the kitchen at one point and while digging about one knuckle deep at something in her nose at then looking at it, asks her Mom, "Mommy, can I pick my own Mii?". To which I could only blurt out "I think you just did".

... there goes Joe Thomas, the best there ever was in this game.

I really like it so far. Bowling and Baseball on Wii Sports are very fun. Had all the family over for the holidays and that's what everyone wanted to play. Now I have like 40 Mii's of nothing but family.
I haven't gotten any other games for it as I have been busy. I will probably try the mario galaxy as I liked mario on nintendo back in the day, and it is recommended by others on here.
I haven't even played Guitar Hero for PS3 yet as we have all been playing the Wii.

Guitar Hero is one I plan to pick up soon for Wii. Got 'Game Party' last week. It's pretty fun. I like the dart game...but there's a real dart game coming out this month in England. I'll be importing one soon! We took the Wii to the family Christmas, too. I have a lot of family Mii's as well as a few friends of the family that happened to be there. It's funny to look at them a year later and wonder who in the hell is that?!?

Picked up Guitar Hero 3 for ps3. Would like to have seen some more "Older" music on a game called "Legends of Rock".
Will have to check out game party. Darts is one of my favorite activities, aside from playing pool in leagues.

I just picked up Playground for the kids. Dodge Ball is fun and very addictive. The other games on it I could do without but the kids like them so it's worth it.

Bumping because we picked up GH yesterday and I agree. How is a band from the 90's considered a "Legend"?? I would like to see a REAL classic rock game and maybe an acoustic version. Do they ever release games sold without the guitars? Like GH:LORIII, "Unplugged"?

Actually, I'm pissed that this game isn't being released in N.A. I can't import one due to the Wii being regional.

My guess is that they aren't expecting 30 and 40 year olds to be buying guitar hero. To a 22 year old the early 90's and late 80's are classic rock.
I'm 34, I don't consider these classic yet, but in the game creators minds, not too many "older" people are buying video games. The youngins consider us old and classic along with our music. 
How in the world can you fix something...

I hear ya. I'm just thinking with the "older" crowd buying the Wii it would be a smart move to make a game with bands from the 60's, 70's, and 80's. Some of what GH3 calls music...I call CRAP. And, I know it would be a select crowd, but even a country music game might work.
At least GH Aerosmith is coming out at some point this year. It's got to be better than some of that head-banging crap on GH3.

I like rockband better. The song selections range all the way back to the 60's.
Not too mention the drums are fun.
I'll pass on Aerosmith being a game. Was never a big fan of theirs.
