Saturday, January 13, will be blacked out for DirecTV subscribers in Cleveland. This is due to a carriage [s][/s]dispute between DirecTV and Tegna, which owns Cleveland’s NBC affiliate WKYC.
Tegna’s affiliates were pulled on DirecTV at the end of November, with the carriage dispute now running for over a month. Subscribers in Cleveland and other markets across the country haven’t been able to watch Tegna-owned networks on DirecTV throughout December and into January.
In addition to the Cleveland NBC affiliate, Tegna-owned stations include the Dallas ABC affiliate, CBS affiliates in San Diego, Washington D.C., and Tampa, and NBC affiliates in Denver and Seattle, among others.
Let this sink in..... On 12-31-23 it be will 123123.
On the flip side, you can tune a piano but you can't tune-a-fish.

My blushing bride and I had DirecTv for yeeeears, but since we moved we've had Spectrum.
That Peacock thing???? Is it a "one game deal" or?????

It is this year. It won't be by next year as I'm sure a Divisional Playoff game will be added.
The NFL has whored itself out ot too many competing services. The legacy service (NBC) knows streaming (Peacock) is the future. Same as ESPN knows this of Disney+... CBS knows this of Paramount+, etc... etc...
Now the league is auctioning off playoff games. Thinking they won't add more next year is crazy. Look for a playoff game on Amazon Prime next year as they surely won't be outdone by lowly, lowly Peacock.
The good thing for us is we're the Browns... "nameless gray faces"... some people call our asses elves. We'll never get the nod over something like the Hard Knock Dolphins vs the Swiftie Chiefs... so there's that.

I'm guessing NO if you are in the Cleveland area. The graphic is simply showing that they are showing the game on NBC, the fact that they haven't worked things out with the Cleveland NBC affiliate means that doesn't matter. Sadly, it's probably misleading on purpose to get people to quit calling and complaining.

You can watch the game on NBC unless you have DirecTV, which is currently in a contract dispute with Tegna, WKYC's owner. If you have DirecTV, the company is telling customers to either buy an antenna or stream the game on Peacock. 1 day ago Why is the Browns game blacked out?

We are affected by it is well but luckily for us it's our local Fox affiliate that has been blacked out on Direct TV and not NBC.
If it's not Chaos, it's not Cleveland.

What's the problem up there? On trips to Cleveland, it seems like every year there is some sort of dispute with blackouts.
