They absolutely smashed the Magic tonight. Allen set the Cavs record with his 12th straight double-double. 13 assists for Mitchell. Merrill with eight 3FGM.
I'm telling you, I think we've found the secret sauce, take a playmaker like Mitchell, a good physical center and surround him with guys that can shoot, smaller faster lineups that can move on defense and hit open shots on offense. Whats going to be telling is if when Mobley and Garland come back if we start losing again. That will prove that they don't fit anymore and need to be moved immediately. Allen is a much better player in this system than mobley, tons more consistent, thats the most you can ask for.. what good is going for 20 points one night in a loss and the next come out and score 8 in a win, thats the juxtaposition with Mobley and with Garland out, turnovers have gone down. That matters over the course of a game.

Yes, the court looks small and the players look huge! Total different perspective being on the floor. It's also shocking to the system to have NBA players stand 5 feet away from you. It's overwhelming. I would have had some better pics/video but everybody was talking to me.
Cavaliers just could not do the things they hzve done duriong their streak. They got to the line about 1/2 as much as the Bucks, they were out-rebounded, and were generally outplayed.

Were all those three's we threw at the backboard, were those the best shots after an extra pass that we were working for? I really don’t know what to make of this Cavs team. While I have my reservations about Mobley and his lack of growth, is Allen really a better player? Are the pieces on the floor just fitting together better?
You’re still giving little minutes to Porter which makes no sense. Merrill is a nice story but he’s a borderline nba player. And Niang is still fat and can barely move after 41 games. How are these Cavs doing this?
One thing I’ve always stood by, and I’ve played a lot of basketball in my day, is defense is 90% hustle, want to, and just moving your feet. The Cavs are giving an honest defensive effort every night. Even the guys with little to no athleticism like Merrill, Niang, and Wade.

my biggest fear at this point is garland/mobley coming back and ruining the momentum. Sometimes it takes an injury to help illuminate a better option. Think back when Drew bledsoe got hurt.. noone thought a 6th round pick was going to be the next GOAT

There’s some weird thing going on where LA is considered local for Las Vegas. When I had directv there were regional LA stations that showed the games. I’ve switched to youtubetv and either it’s an add on that I don’t have or they don’t carry those channels. So dumb.

Cavs struggled a bit tonight against the Wizards, but in the end, managed to turn it on and come away with a hard fought win.

The injuries to mobley and garland were godsends apparently. I think it forced JB to go deeper in his bench and find a few things that was missing, and it also probably forced him back into the playbook and made him change how he was coaching. Whatever it was, seem JB has the secret sauce now. Even mobley seems to have taken a step forward.. Garland...meh, i still think we are a better team without him and I hope he ends up getting moved for more bench/wing help.. Mitchell is a difference maker and the closer we've needed forever. Even last night, struggling against a lottery team, you could sense mitchell wasn't going to let us lose.. Whats crazy is the next 10 games I think is against teams at 500 or below. We could finish at the ASB in first.
