I would like a historical analysis of this award, including a detailed examination of biased elements supported by line-by-line evidence, along with a prescient indication of potential future failures.

Is there anyone there who could provide that? 🤔

They also didn't take into account the salary cap.

So…. I’m confused. Does this mean he isn’t getting fired?

What happens if Stef doesn’t show emotion when accepting the award? Can we fire him then?

Congratulations Coach ..... and also Coach Schwartz.

Congratulations KS well deserved.

To win the COY twice in four years is a clear sign that we finally have the right guy. The people who voted for him are impartial. They looked at a number of really good coaches who also were deserving and selected KS as being the best head coach of 2023. Rare air to win this award twice.

I have stood behind KS through thick and thin. He has evolved as a head coach and has improved. That is what you look for in being a head coach.

Hopefully we can take the next step as an organization. IMO we are not far away from doing that. We need a little luck with injuries and we need consistency from the quarterback position.

Kevin Stefanski is the best Browns coach since Marty!!! Marty should have never been fired. We see how that impacted the Browns future and we need to do all we can to keep Stefanski here for along time. I really like the combo of Stefanski and Berry.

The only thing that would've made this better is if Berry and Depo got some sort of 'FOotY' award.

KS winning this award is a big deal.

It wasn't Kyle Shanahan, or John Harbaugh, or, Demeco Ryans, or Dan Campbell, or any other head coach. It was Kevin Sefanski of the Cleveland Browns.

He joins an elite few to win this award twice. As fans we should be proud and happy for him.

Agreed. We didn’t go as far into the playoffs as we hoped but we still had a solid season and we showed everyone that the Cleveland Browns are a significant force in the league. We became relevant again. Let’s hope we can keep it up.

I notice certain posters seem absent from this thread. I wonder why that is?

I don't give any HC a free pass. As human beings there will be times that mistakes will be made because unlike what some seem not to understand is, they are human beings too. All human beings make mistakes.

But to be impartial one has to look at a mans body of work. You have to look at the ingredients a chef has to work with. This past season was a patchwork of players often from deep on the depth charts, a QB who was pulled off his couch and other QB's this FO gave him that weren't fit to start in an NFL game. Using 4th, 5th, and at the end even a sixth OT on the depth chart.

Why people insist that these factual statements are nothing but excuses is mystifying to put it mildly because that's exactly what transpired.

And despite all of that the Browns made the playoffs. Thanks Coach Stefanski! You did more with less than any other HC in the NFL and that's why you not only deserved this award but won it.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

There were 32 coaches who started the 2023 season.

One was voted for having been the best. Many deserving coaches who had great years. Yet KS got the win because he did more with less than anyone else.

All coaches make mistakes as well as GM's. It comes with the territory of the NFL. It is no cake walk.

Those who have done nothing but criticize KS are feeling a bit ill today because those who voted were impartial and recognized what was actually accomplished.

I thought it was interesting what Micah Parsons said about Myles winning. Watch the film that is what counts.

Is it not strange that some of the coaches that helped KS get the COP were released?

For the Browns? Yes. Usually we'd be having a parade at 11-6, this group is trying to get better.

Strange days indeed.

Stefanski proved to everyone that with the right QB, he could get his offense to click. Flacco and Stefanski were a good match and the results speak for themselves with the stretch run that produced wins in a row, helping the team punch their ticket to the playoffs with a regular season record of 11-6.

Stefanski also faced the challenge of adjusting his offensive scheme due to a flood of injuries on the offensive side of the ball. I believe fans and media had to take into consideration all of challenges Stefanski faced and overcame.

IMO, it would be a huge mistake by those in charge of the franchise if they failed to recognize the value of giving a coach like Stefanski the type QB talent that helped to produce results and added stability and a much needed degree of continuity just in time for the team to put together their stretch run.

Stefanski proved his value when challenged and if the Browns are going to continue to pursue their goal of competing in the playoffs and giving the Browns a chance to compete for a Super Bowl Victory, Jimmy Haslam, Depodesta and Berry will need to support Stefanski and find a solution to dilemma facing the Browns during this this upcoming season.

Taking a step backwards is not an option...winning should be the only goal.

It is well deserved.

The Browns started out the season as a roll out mobile QB team with a great running back and a defense with potential.

They ended the season as a drop back team with limited run ability and made it work somehow with QB's that should not have been playing. And the Defense was competitive even when not a full strength.

Damn that was fun. I thought it was over when Chubb got hurt.

It is very difficult to toss a coach to the reject pile when he has 2 COY in 4.

The guy can coach at the NFL level. His job is to win games, and he pulled rabbits out of the hat this year.

There will be no playoffs. Can’t play with who we have out there and compounding it with garbage playcalling and worse execution. We don’t have good skill players on offense period. Browns 20 - Bears 17.

+1, this post.

11-5 playoff season, with 5 QB's- and a decimated OL.

Surprised Dan Campbell didn't win it. Congratulations to Kevin Stefanski. Now let's win the division next season and get to the SB, or at least the AFC Championship game.

Came across this tweet and thought it was pretty insightful, but wasn't sure where to put it.

Landed on here because Stefanski having to "adjust the puzzle" for 4 different QBs seemed the best fit.
