Not me I always wanted Dorsey ... ALWAYS .... I thought DA would be cut before the opener .. glad i was wrong on that one .. *L* ..
I agreed with you then, and I agree now.

and NO REVISIONIST HISTORY PLEASE ... your much better than that .. don't start acting like Peenie ...
I'm not changing history. More (if not most) wanted Dorsey gone. Do me a favor and don't mention Peen to me. I like both of you and don't want either of you put down to me. Just say "Ammo" instead.

it was a GREAT MOVE ... one U may not be able to appreciatte
I do understand how smart of a move it was. I just find it funny how some people react to the news. We rewarded him for what he has done for this team up front. We can keep him behind DA and Quinn as long as both are here. If DA leaves and we bring in an experienced backup, Dorsey can be let go for a project.

I have liked Dorsey all along, and I sure as heck don't remember all of these supporters back in July.
more like late August, early September. A whole lot of people wanted DA cut to keep Dorsey (hint, hint, nudge, nudge)...but I kept saying that DA didn't get a fair shake in preseason because he usually went in with the 2nd string OL...and that Dorsey didn't even get any playing time in preseason.
...anyhow, Dorsey seems to be an example of 'Those who can, do. Those who can't, teach'. And DA has a cannon and no real touch. I've come to the conclusion that a bomb is actually a touch pass. You throw it 'over' the players so that your guy can run under it yet it's too far for the trailing defender to get under it. I wouldn't be surprised if BQ can throw a better bomb than DA.

IIRC, Dorsey had some support for the starting QB job on this board. In fact Dorsey is relatively young and he did well in pre-season when he got his chance. Maybe the coaches feel that Dorsey could be a competent # 2 for a few years behind the QB that does not get traded? I'm thru with 2nd guessing the coaches. I'm still eating crow b/c of Anderson

Dorsey did? Who?
I don't remember one single poster who thought he'd be a starter.
As far as Anderson goes, don't eat too much crow. I've admitted I was wrong in saying he was a complete stiff, but I felt that the worm would turn on Anderson in the second half of the season, and he's gone from a QB with a 90 rating to a QB who's rating is in the bottom half of the league, and who's completion percentage is AT the bottom of the league.
Make it one serving of crow, and leave it at that Dorsey just doesn't have the arm to be a regular for our offense. The very reason Anderson has managed to do what he's done is because he can get the ball down the field. Dorsey's arm makes Frye's look strong in comparison.
***Gordon, I really didn't think you could be this stOOpid, but you exceeded my expectations. Wussy. Manziel, see Josh Gordon. Dumbass.***

Personally, I'd prefer he was not on the roster, I can think of better things to do with a roster spot. Dorsey is not NFL QB caliber.. I'd rather he was made an offer as a Asst QB coach. Oh well.. I suppose it's too late now.

I don't remember ONE person saying that Dorsey should be the starter..
I do however remember people saying that they didn't care who the starter was as long as we win with them... and that included Dorsey.. But pimpin Dorsey, I don't believe anyone on this board would have done that for real... maybe in jest,,,but not for real.
As for ANderson, there is a lot of crow being eaten over him,, me included.. I was hoping that we would keep Frye, Quinn and Dorsey and cut DA because in Preseason, let's face it, the kid didn't show anyone anything..
I thought the decision to cut Dorsey and Keep Anderson was a mistake, but was willing to just let it play out.. Damn, didn't have to wait long did I

When I read the title of this thread I got pissed thinking it was Nat Dorsey, thankfully its not.

IMO what happens with Nat Dorsey is more significant than what happens with Ken Dorsey anyway. Danielle's opinion of Nat is not as jaundiced as the run-of-the-mill poster on this board and she has the inside information! It will be interesting to see which offensive linemen will be offered contract extensions:
Nat Dorsey Lennie Friedman Seth McKinney and, drum roll please.......... LeCharles Bentley
Of those four only Lennie can be considered "old". Over the next three months this subject will probably be discussed in depth. And isn't it great that we will be discussing tweaking the OL over the off season instead of a massive overhaul for the first time in recent memory?
