I do appreciate the distinction between conservative and....whatever you would call the current majority sect of Republicans. That's why I always use "Conservative" (big C) to desecribe the current machine and "conservative" (little C) to try and differentiate between the current movement and the core foundational beliefs. I'm pretty confident that Eisenhower and Nixon would not want anything to do with the current Conservative caucus. I'd even say Reagan wouldn't as well.
Hell, even Romney and McCain, the last two Republican nominees pre-2016 were trampled by the current movement.
I think it really just comes down to the name now, because your average voters simply look for a party identifier before they vote, especially on down ballot candidates. They rally behind the political party name, regardless of where the platform has drifted. It's backwards from the foundational aspects of our country, where the dynamic was grass roots. Now it is top-down with the average voter possessing little to no insight on current political issues and the root causes. Now it has drifted into process of:
1. Watch slanted news program 2. Hear them fear/rage monger at an issue 3. Viewer reacts with fear/rage they are being fed 4. Sling fecal matter 5. Vote 6. Repeat

Liberals like to talk tough on taxes, but lack the will to implement it. My guess is members of the committee probably have short term rentals that would be impacted.
From the article:
Quote
"Short-term rental hosts are just average everyday people," said Anderson. "You know, it's somebody that wants to rent out a basement to offset their mortgage. It's somebody that wants a dream house in the mountains, and they can only afford it if they have short-term rental income."
If you have a dream home in the mountains, you are not an average everyday person. You're looking at 2 million just for a condo up there.
It's supposed to be hard! If it wasn't hard, everyone would do it. The hard... is what makes it great!
They did not start as socialists. The name itself does not imply the actual political practices of the group. North Korea calls itself the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. It's hardly a democracy.
The Nazis had to overcome to the communists in order to reach power. Hitler imprisoned a bunch of the communists who eventually made their way to concentration camps.
Look it up.

Look, I don’t espouse socialism either because I think it rewards complacency, but that is just wrong. It’s more the WW2 history being butchered that bothers me, so this is the last I will say anything about this in this thread. But that is just plain wrong. I’m not sure what Moses even is. Again, the moniker does not define the actions.
Again, they rose to power by surpressing, eventually by violence, the communists in Germany. In that era, I don’t think you’d see that sharply of a friction between true socialists and the burgeoning communism of the time.
We both agree that we don’t favor socialism, but the segue from Nazism to socialism to somehow the Democratic Party today is a falsity. Go after them for their own crony capitalism that they’re guilty of (happens in defense lobby), go after them fir specific platforms, like the sect who wants to perpetuate cis male athletes playing women’s sports, vehemently disagree with them on economic issues, etc. That’s all good (it would be better if it was presented in a thoughtful way). But this false equivalence is just dangerous, MTG type nonsense.

Imma need the dems to condemn our government vetoing a 2 state solution.
We can’t whine about the unhinged destruction then do nothing about it.
“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”
So how does that change the fact that Josh Hawley says crazy things? Or are you claiming he doesn't?
Says the one who routinely asks if the content is true or not when someone else attacks a source.
You do understand what you responded to, correct? My entire quote you used asked if Josh Hawley said crazy things. Should we just call you Mr. Dodge Ball?
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.
Is this where you make up random statments and then try apply them to me?
Kick rocks dude. Go play with a kindergarnter.
You always say stuff like that when you don't have an answer.. Just like your leader.
You always make up random statements and apply them to me. I dont have to answer stupidity like that. A kindergartner is more your intellect speed. You should hangout at playgrounds.
