The Cleveland Indians should trade Bieber before the deadline. Get some decent prospects, and make the playoffs in a couple years. It’ll be awesome! Go Tribe!

Guess none of you have heard of Jac Caglianone, Florida.
LH pitcher who hits 99, and he hit 34 homers last year.
What more do you want? He'll be a Top 5 pick but I'm not sure he is taken in the Top 3. Not one or two, however. I agree with Frenchy...it's either Condon or Bazzana. I'm leaning Condon. This team has been missing a corner outfield, RH power bat for decades.

I haven't been able to see any games yet, but he should be the First Base Coach. Has he not been there?

The Guardians are playing good baseball.
One stat that I always pay close attention to is run differential.
Runs Scored versus Runs Against.
It is a telling stat because it tells how you are winning. Winning a lot of close one run games can sometimes be misleading. It is always good to win but it can swing the other way real easy. You can start to lose close games.
When the differential is high like the Guardians +35. You are beating teams easily.

https://www.coveringthecorner.com/2...s-beat-red-sox-to-claim-mlbs-best-recordGuardians beat Red Sox to claim MLB’s best record westbrook Apr 16, 2024, 11:46pm EDT MLB: Cleveland Guardians at Boston Red Sox Paul Rutherford-USA TODAY Sportsnormal Guardians 10, Red Sox 7 Let’s get the elephant in the room out of the way at the start: Getting there was a lot more complicated. Tanner Bibee pitched his best game of the young season, and the offense provided him with plenty of support. A 5-1 lead when your starting pitcher exits after 5 innings is great work by everybody involved. But the 6th inning was a mess. After the Guardians did nothing in the top of it, Tyler Beede entered and gave up multiple runs in his third straight appearance. His ERA nearly doubled this time, going only a third of an inning and giving up 3 runs. Cade Smith then replaced him, and had his roughest game, too. Red Sox 6, Guardians 5 after 6. Eli Morgan then saved the day, pitching stellarly until the offense could tie the game in the 9th. Then both teams scored a run in the 10th. The Guardians should have scored many more than 1; the Red Sox scored only because Manfred Do Free Runner Thing. The 11th was excellent, though. And then after those highlights, Scott Barlow struck out two Red Sock batters for his first save as a Guardian. Around baseball Who cares? The best record in baseball (12-5) belongs to….. the Cleveland Guardians.

What a win. I don't get to watch the Guardians unless they are on some kind of national coverage.
So, each morning I watch "Quick Pitch."
Of course it is very early but my two teams lead the AL and the NL.
The Braves are down three All Star players. Spencer Strider done for a year. Ozzie Albies just fractured his big toe (hit by pitch). Probably miss a month. Sean Murphy "oblique" will miss at least a month.
Baseball is a grind.

Cleveland improved to 12-5. It has won nine of its first 11 road games for the first time since 1948. ![[Linked Image from media3.giphy.com]](https://media3.giphy.com/media/l0DEKzl8fVWF1n6E0/200w.gif)

Guardians are playing ball. Damn good to see them get such a great start.
They play Boston then come to Atlanta for a weekend series.
The Braves are loaded but missing a number of stars to injury.

Book it. The Guardians are the winningest team in MLB, wining their 17th of the season.

WOW!
What a start they are cooking. Manzardo is a stud. Hope they bring him up soon.
Guardians play the Braves this weekend. They avoid Max Fried who pitched a gem last night. Complete game shutout 3 hitter.
Should be a great series. The two best teams in the AL and NL.

Reminds me of Jared Lorenzen.

Sale was sailing.
There were many concerns over his health when he was traded for. He has now pitched over 6 innings in each of his starts.
His slider sets up his game. When he pitches like he did last night. good luck.
Today is a new day. I look forward to watching the game.

Great game tonight. Excellent starting pitching on both sides. Barlow managed to pull one out of his butt. Good to see. Rubber game tomorrow.

Baseball will sometimes be all about minutiae.
The Guardians score 2 runs and not a ball gets out of the infield.
Sean Murphy pulled an oblique in the first game and has not played since.
Travis d'Arnaud plays about a third in the rotation with Murphy. Chadwick Tromp is a third string catcher with about 10 MLB at bats.
d'Arnaud gets pitched run for. Tromp comes up with the bases loaded and strikes out on three pitches none of which were near the strike zone.
Barlow gets out of bases loaded with nobody out.
Minutiae.
Rubber match today.

Too many big mistakes late.

Guardians lost the series but I was very impressed by them.
I live in Atl. so I watch all their games. I have been a fan of the Braves since they were in Milwaukee.
But I also have been a Cleveland fan.
The Guardians grind out their at bats. They work the count. They don't strike out. They show patience at the plate.
They have good pitching. IMO they will win the Central.
Fun team to watch. I am expecting a good season. When they bring up Manzardo. He will add some power. Hopefully at the trade deadline they add some pieces.

I would like a series win against the Astros.
Just keep doing what they have done so far. Play hard.

Seems so long since they’ve played.
Manzardo surely has to be close to getting the call, right? What is the last date to manipulate his time of service?

Johnathan Rodriguez should be brought up from Triple A. Explain please. I don't know much about him. I heard the name but don't even know what position he plays. What's he been doing in Triple A to warrant a call up?

Manzardo's swing reminds me of Wade Boggs'. Boggs' swing not his stance which is why I think Manzardo will hit for more power. Boggs had an amazing eye, which is why Manzardo probably won't come close for overall batting average.

Johnathan Rodriguez - 24 yr old RF for Columbus Player information Basic story from the offseason up from Triple A. He’s been hitting the ball hard so far this year. He just had a 24 game on base streak end yesterday or today. If the Guards weren’t playing well, Florial (he just hit a three run shot as I’m typing this haha) and Laureano would be gone and JRod and Manzardo would probably be called up.
