what are everyone's thoughts on him?

Chase Oliver, recognized as the "most influential Libertarian" by Rolling Stone, garnered national attention following his debate with incumbent Sen. Raphael Warnock and Herschel Walker's empty podium. With over 80,000 votes, Oliver forced a runoff between the Republican and Democratic candidates. Now he wants to bring a new vision to the broken two-party system as he runs for President of the United States.

This is all at first blush, but:

Immigration platform seems decent

Justice reform seems all right except for his broad brush on victimless crimes, which I consider to be a pitfall of modern Libertarians.

I'm personally conflicted on the death penalty myself, so won't opine there.

I'm good with eliminating laws criminalizing cannibis, and do think the war on drugs is an obvious failure, but again painting with a broad brush for decriminalization I think is a bad idea. That comes after my experience doing criminal defense work back in the day.

"End the wars. End the drones" is naive, at best. Closing overseas bases is just stupid. Ending aid to Ukraine is also a big peeve platform of mine. The guy wants to go full Chamberlain.

Agree generally on getting government out of boardrooms, but I'd like to see a stronger stance on also getting boardrooms out of governments. Not sure that a blanket end to tariffs is a good thing. Balanced budget I can get behind.

Abolishing the Department of Education seems extreme. I do think the feds need to get out of the loan business though. That bubble has to burst.

Lowering the regulatory burden on the pharmaceutical industry is stoopid. We let them get away with murder as it is compared to Europe, who most people tout as overregulating. Getting rid of evergreen patents though ain't bad.

Like the stance on eliminating red tape that inhibits entrepreneurial growth, as long as its organic entrepreneurial growth and some MegaCorp disguised as a mom and pop shop like we see in DoD. We definitely need a rise in competition.

Well if Rolling Stone endorses him....

I need to dig more. He doesn't seem overly objectionable on the surface, but a lot of his campaign material and activities seems on the superficial and gimmicky side. It is hard to get to the substance in the age of influencers.

I would love to vote for someone other than trump or Biden.

If the person had any type of chance to be elected.

I live in Georgia. I cannot waste a vote. If I lived in a pure blue or red state. I would vote for another candidate if they had just a few things I agreed with.

This election is too critical. trump is incompetent, unfit, a tyrant, and a danger to democracy pure and simple.

As others have seemed to indicate I won't make an assumption at first glance but I'm certainly willing to look into him more. As with many people I'm certainly not happy about the current two choices.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.
