Trump and Co. Come Up With Most Deranged Theory Yet: Joe Biden Wanted Hunter Biden to Be Found Guilty

Apparently the DOJ prosecuted Hunter Biden for Joe.

Donald Trump and the Republican Party’s yearslong claim that the Department of Justice has been exclusively weaponized against the GOP ran headfirst into reality when Hunter Biden was indicted—by his father’s DOJ—last September on three firearms-related charges. And while such an inconvenient turn of events might’ve caused the party to drop the weaponization argument, that’s obviously not how Republicans roll. Instead, they kept it up, and then, in the days leading up to the verdict being announced, came up with their most unhinged theory yet: The DOJ prosecuted Hunter Biden—and later, orchestrated his guilty verdict—to help the president.

On Sunday, Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene insanely claimed: “The DOJ is ‘prosecuting’ Hunter Biden on gun charges and trying to create sympathy for Joe Biden.”

Then, on Tuesday, after the guilty verdict was handed down, Trump adviser Stephen Miller claimed that the DOJ—whose investigation led to the president’s son becoming a convicted felon—is “running election interference for Joe Biden.”

Ohio Senate candidate Bernie Moreno declared on X that the DOJ’s decision to go after Biden on gun charges—which the GOP wanted to happen!—was done to “insulate and protect the Big Guy,” a claim Senator J.D. Vance appeared to endorse:

For its part, the Trump campaign claimed in its official statement that Hunter Biden being prosecuted and found guilty was a “distraction” from the “real crimes.”

Naturally, there was no mention of Trump himself being recently found guilty of 34 class E felonies, or that about a month from now, we’ll found out if he’s going to jail.

In contrast to the ravings from Team Trump, Joe Biden released a measured statement on Tuesday saying he loves his son and nevertheless respects the judicial process.

Biden said last week he would not pardon Hunter if convicted.

They both came back after reviewing the evidence and decided both of these people were guilty.. Biden of 3 counts, Trump of 34.

The only difference here is that Democrats are willing to hold Biden's feet to the fire. Republicans are only interested in finding something wrong with the case against Trump. They are just plain silly with all the efforts to discredit the judge, the Jury and the Judges daughter and the clerk. Hell, the Republicans are going after former speakers in their own party.

Both will appeal, and it's just my opinion, but both with lose those appeals. My guess is Biden will spend time in the clink, Trump will escape the clink.

Neither should. Both are guilty.

It's not a sorry state as you put it, it's exactly how this is supposed to work without regard to status.
