I live in Tennessee. No matter who I vote for, unless trump falls dead between now and the election, he will win Tennessee. And even if he falls dead and the Republican party doesn't name someone else as a candidate, the ghost of trump would win the state. But we both know they would just replace him with yet another MAGA candidate because that's what their voters demand.

And if Biden is replaced as the democratic candidate that doesn't change anything about what you posted. Because you were talking about both parties, not the candidates.

I can post with a clearer head now that the cerveza from yesterday has worn off. Don’t get me wrong. I’m voting for Trump, however my lack of sensitivity and sense of humor yesterday were indicative of a man who threw back too many coors lights. I feel bad for President Biden and his family. I can’t imagine the stress and pain all of them are feeling at this moment. I wouldn’t wish that on anyone. I think that for his health and for his family’s sake, the best option for him would be to step down.

I've found that to be a sad reality for some people. The belief they can't have fun without alcohol. And don't get me wrong. I have nothing against drinking. I drank for decades and enjoyed it a great deal at the time. I'm not one to preach at people for things like drinking or smoking weed. I don't see anything wrong with it. But believe me, you don't need those things in order to have fun.

I've never said that. I've said there is not enough time to find a legitimate third party candidate that can win in fourth months. I also explained to you I was hoping the No labels Party would come up with such a legitimate candidate. That didn't happen. I also told you that once this election is over would be the best time to start finding a suitable 3rd party candidate for 2028. It will take a lot of organization, time and money to accomplish that goal.

The fact that you have tried to twist the reality of where we are and me stating such as we have to wear the shoes they give us is so far out there it's beyond comprehension. Debate- JMHO, there was NO Debate- Trump answered not a single question and Biden couldn't. Each made their normal political party points. To prevent a Trump win, the DP MUST draft someone AFTER convincing Biden he needs to swallow his pride and quit.

I listened to the debate as I was driving from Cinci up to Cleveland. Apparently just consuming the audio benefited Biden, as I couldn't see the faces he was making.

Still, he sounded BAD. I thought he was doneso when he had to do a quick system reboot near the beginning. I do think he slowly picked up steam as the debate rolled on. He also had to contend with the first tough question (inflation/economy). That may have thrown him off... but then again the power of a flea's fart could've knocked him off-stage with how he sounded.

I say that because (IMO) I think Trump's Jan6/Russia response was a bigger flub than Biden freezing. I mean, how can you go into this debate and not have an answer ready for that? He KNEW he was going to get asked... and he pretty much had nothing.

Overall, Biden only having 1 freeze and slowly gaining steam as the debate went on was something of a positive sign. Trump (mostly) acting like an adult was a big win for him and was unexpected (I was expecting them to pick up where they left off 4 years ago... this debate was almost civil most of the time).

Another thing I thought was really weird was the timing of the debate and how the rest of the field has already been cleared. We haven't talked about any other candidates for what feels like forever and neither of these guys have actually been nominated. This feels very different from past elections, and as someone that generally votes for independants, I really don't like it.

So that makes it ok to poke fun at it. Gotcha.

As we can see on here it's a concentrated effort on the debate and little else at this point. Yet not a word from them about 34 felony convictions and a jury determining trump committed sexual assault as if that's a nothing burger to them. Some seem to not understand that when you refuse to call someone out for such serious serious things, things worse than what Nixon resigned from office for, things that certainly before have been events that the vast majority of people would have considered to have disqualified a person from office, their silence is passive approval.

When you have a child and you never punish him for what he's done wrong, you are supporting he continue those actions. When you refuse to call him out for what he has done, you are supporting such actions continue. If you witness a man rob a bank and see him get in the getaway car but refuse to turn in the license plate number you are an accessory to his crime. You helped him get away with it. You have only served to support he continue his crimes. Trump has never really faced accountability for the things he's done and his supporters are working very hard to keep it that way. That is most certainly supporting what he's done and helping such criminal and predatory conduct on his part continue.

They only make unsupported claims blaming everyone else for trump's conduct. It's Biden, Garland, Bragg, liberal judges judges and everyone elses fault on the planet but trump's. They just can't seem to come to grips with the fact that in both cases, it was a jury of 12 people who heard all of the evidence, that weighed that evidence and found trump guilty. They instead blame the justice system for trump's actions. It's as if there's no rabbit hole too deep they won't climb down.

It's a sad thing to watch and something I never thought I would be a witness to in my own country.

I’ve always been confused with this specific debate because Trump challenged Biden to a debate that I never knew was optional to begin with. I thought all presidential debates were mandatory. Clearly I was wrong, because the media (left and right) was acting like this was optional?

I get it if Biden decides to stay in the race, but personally homeboy needs to step aside. Even though you’re right in that he picked up steam, for a lot of people it was too little too late. It was just really bad.

I should've first said that I went into this thing with VERY low expectations. As in, probably couldn't go any lower. So through that lens I was able to pick some positives for both.

This is something that I'm not knowledgeable on, but apparently this debate was outside the normal protocol. It was like an "extra" debate and wasn't being done by the Presidential Candidate Debate Committee or whatever it's called. Apparently there is an official group that puts on and moderates pres debates (like a boxing commission (??) I honestly don't know). This debate was outside of that normal process, which really got me thinking about the abruptly shrinking field and having both of these candidates forced on us.
