I get that people want the border to be better, but I don't know what Trump wants to do about it, specifically, besides not wanting the previous bi-partisan bill to pass.

He abused the deficit/debt to all hell during his term and then lied about it during the debate and blamed it on COVID, when his spending was way out of control prior to COVID.

He hasn't disclosed anything particular about what he would do on Ukraine (which worries me to all hell, honestly) or Israel.

I can personally attest to you that defense spending has been botched by both his administration and Biden's. Horribly, but the only way to fix it is to curb the defense lobby, which nobody wants to do.

I don’t think I parrot much. I may reframe points from different angles and I can enjoy conversations with people whom I disagree with. Anyone who enters a conversation genuinely I’m happy to have a discussion with, even if I have to reiterate points I’ve previously made. I've had this same convo with Clem. I don't view it as feeding the troll. I think you feed the troll when you give in to the same type of response or overreact. Same as bullying - and actually the two are pretty closely linked if you think about it. If you get mad/cry/etc, they see that as validation of their behavior. I see it as two outcomes: 1) We actually have a genuine confirmation, which I would love to have, or 2) There is a look of objective foolishness on the part of the troll.

Now, if I were to give in to mean or pedantic behavior, then yes, that would be feeding the troll.

I commend your effort and attitude. For myself, there's troll like posts from many but those same posters will frequently post interesting or intelligent comments and thoughts from time to time no matter if I'm in agreement with them.... With this one, I've only ever seen nonsense, name calling gloating in the belief that someone gives a rats patootie... So for myself, having seen efforts in the past, I believe you might be feeding the troll and when confronted by facts and calm discourse and cornered normally I see the toxicity of the replies escalate not deescalate....
