Boy, a lot to comment on, but today I come in peace. I come to express my concern for the health and well being of you lefties. I am very worried that we are going to see multiple back injuries as you all continue to contort and twist yourself into pretzel like shapes in an effort to convince people that a lousy, horrible job done is really a great job done. We cannot afford to have you lefties on the disabled list when the season starts.


So let’s look at how good a job Harris did at reducing flow of illegals to our border. One person on here says she has done her job because, oh, lookie, she got $4 billion dollars sent to the northern triangle. What a great job she did!! Let’s put that idea into a football context , Damon , and you tell me what you think.

Browns defense gives up 30 ppg for three straight seasons. We fire the dc and hire a new, better dc at double the salary. He convinces the browns to go all in on some very expensive defensive free agents. We totally revamp the defense with some high end players. And for the next three seasons we give up 45 ppg. Now, Damon, some on here would say he did a good job because look at all the money he got poured into the defense. I would say he did a crappy job because we gave up 50% more ppg. What do you think Damon??

Translate that over to the real world. Harris got $4 billion put into the northern triangle. Now we do not know where the the money is. Graft and political chicanery are prevalent down there so probably a lot of it never got to where it was intended. But regardless, the results of her efforts was an increase in illegals from the northern triangle from 1.8 milllion under trump to 4.2 million under Harris. So do you measure success by the money pumped in or the results Damon? What do you think?

Now if you lefties can un contort yourselves maybe you can go to work on convincing people that Harris has said things she maybe really did not mean. She said crossing the border illegally should not be a crime. What do you suppose decriminalizing crossing out would do the the flow of illegals into our country? And what do you think most Americans would think about that?

Or maybe go to work on her defund the police idea. She said we need to rethink the idea that putting more police into neighborhoods is not the way to make neighborhoods safer. Hmm. Interesting, but I know there are places that tried some of that and were not happy with the result.

I am certain the lame stream media , aka dncc, will do everything they can to erase these positions from the record, but they are out there along with a number of other very radical positions. Gonna be interesting to see how they come out.

So how were the results you ask. Excuse me, you don’t really care what the results were because they do not support your desired narrative. But I will tell you anyway. We went from 1.8 million border encounters with northern triangle illegals under Trump to 4.2 million under Harris biden. Now I know lefties like you have a pretty warped view of things, but in no view would that be defined as a successful operation.

I don’t really expect you to acknowledge that because well, you just don’t want it to be so. And that is where you live.

15.7 American jobs have already been created during the Biden administration. You complain they take jobs here and complain if jobs are created there.

For some reason you think some Wizard can come along and magically build factories and buildings for those jobs in a matter of days or months. For future reference, all of that takes time. So you keep whining about creating jobs there while they're taking jobs here. Take a little time to drive around and look at some subdivisions in your area. Look at who is roofing the houses, hanging the siding, doing the lawn work, being hired to do the domestic work. Look who is working in the meat processing plants, building the homes and more.

Then maybe you could see what the problem really is. It's Americans providing these immigrants with all of these jobs that keeps them coming here. Until people stop hiring them over here and they have jobs where they are, they will keep coming. Unless of course 1.8 million of them seemed acceptable to you.

Maybe you should be knocking on the doors of the homes hiring them. Calling the companies they work for. And of course since it seems like a huge issue to you, maybe you should actually do something about it instead of complaining about it to someone who has no power to fix it it on a message board. Well dang, you did it again. Totally non responsive to the primary point I made. From the third post on this thread, by you, the topic became Harris’s job on the border. You seem hyper focused on her job title, is she the border czar or isn’t she. Let me be clear. I don’t give a flyin flip what you call her. I care about results. And for the umpteenth time, illegals from the northern triangle increased under her watch from 1.8 million to 4.2 million. You have yet to acknowledge that she did not successfully complete the assignment given. But anyone who looks at it honestly can see that. Try it.

I do complain if illegals get into our country and take jobs from Americans. Darn tootin!! I also complain when they do a job in America for less than an American would. They do not belong here and they are taking money out of the pockets and food off the table of American workers. Try to keep up next time arch. We weren't comparing the two administrations when discussing the decrease in traffic from the golden triangle. It was in reference to the decreased flow from the only area Kamala was actually in charge of. You know, while the GOP falsely claims she was in charge of the southern border. Could you point where I said, implied, suggested….. really anything, about our border being contiguous to northern triangle countries. Do you really not know what border I am talking about?? Really?? You are right I do focus on 4.2 million. Everyone knows that when looking at data you get better information from multiple data points over a longer period of time than one data point over a short period of time. In fact most say that only two types of people would pull one data point out of a long series and try to make a point with it. That would be dumb people and also people who are not really trying to find the truth, they are trying to find a factoid that will support their narrative. Given your history of ignoring truth when it does not fit your story, I think I will place you in the second group.

That data graph looks more like an EKG strip than a consistent move in any direction which is why you always use multiple data points over an extended period of time. Well, unless you are trying to deceive people. Could you point out where I said 1.8 million was okie dokie. I have said repeatedly that the border needs to be closed. By any measure, overall or northern triangle our border has been a disaster since Harris/biden/mayorkas took over and that is because they truly do not care.

That's a pretty interesting article though - Reuters is pretty renowned for independent and unbiased "news" and "reporting". Initially I thought the article was a little light on critical examination of Harris - but by the time I got to the end of the article it was more balanced.

What stands out is the chart 2/3 of the way into the article. The red line of the Nth Triangle immigration spiked massively under Trump - came down and then started to climb again 2021-2022. The Biden/Harris administration clearly fails to recognize the focus needs to change after 2022. Mexico immigration spikes a little after the Trump administration where it starts to climb a the end from about 20k to 40K a month - to a peak of about 80K a month in 2022 ... but in 2024 while it's higher than at the end of the Trump term, it's pretty close, maybe within 10% at 44K a month? (I'm eyeballing from the chart - don't jump down my throat). . . . . clearly the biggest issue is 'All other countries''. A massive spike from virtually nothing under Obama and Trump (maybe peaks at 8-10K a month for a short time?) to a peak of 140K a month during the Biden/Harris administration. That number has fallen dramatically back down to well below 40K presently - but it is 100% understandable why people would be concerned.

I'm no expert - but my thoughts would be:

1. It's 100% understandable why Trump wants to label Harris as the Border Tzar. It makes her implicitly responsible for those huge numbers from 'the rest of the world' - even though in all the articles everyone posts, Biden and others identify the Northern Triangle as the focus for her efforts - not 'the rest of the world'. While it's easy to suggest if you are responsible for one area you should be responsible for all areas ... the reality if that was the goal and the actual focus ... then Harris would have been tasked with being responsible for driving down (the root cause) of all immigration ... the words used by Biden would simply have been 'all immigration' and not mention specific geographies. Somewhat splitting hairs whichever side of the argument you are on. From a political perspective it's a no-brainer to make Harris responsible for all of it.

2. Absolute and utter failure by Biden/Harris not to recognize and switch focus when these numbers changed. Very little anywhere about recognizing this or addressing it.

3. I find it interesting that we talk about the southern border - and the implication (to my ears) has been about Mexicans crossing into the country. Yet while the numbers did spike some - Mexican numbers have fallen very close to where they were at the end of the Trump administration. Not much commentary about that .... Oh Wait !! I can hear it now, someone somewhere wants to claim that under Trump the numbers went up because the Mexicans all knew Biden was going to be POTUS.

4. Despite claims - I don't believe Biden or any major Dem politician is for 'open borders'.

5. I'd be much more interested to understand WHY these numbers peak like this. I imagine there world events that drive these figures - climate disasters, war, political unrest, religious persecutions. I know Europe has and is experiencing record numbers of migrants. It's a global issue. Trying to look at and impact the root cause is definitely worthwhile although obviously a very long term project.

6. My own anecdote from a conversation with an Irishman while in Dublin - Irelands population is still below it's peak in 1851 and the famine. I believe it is the only country in the world with a smaller population in 2024 than in 1850's. For decades Ireland had a migration problem in that the Irish wanted to leave and go elsewhere. But now the country is doing well - it's booming - it's a desirable place to live. People are building wealth ... and now they have an immigration problem. For a country that for years welcomed 'anyone' while also having a massive Irish population around the globe (and in the USA) that were immigrants FROM IRE ... suddenly they are in a completely new situation and it is causing political issues. The IRE population suddenly doesn't want cheap labor coming to take jobs or use public resources. It might be a different scale than the US but it's a real problem. I can't remember exactly how eloquently this Irishman summed it all up - but in essence he simply pointed out that the driver of the problem was wealth inequality: That was why so many left Ireland before, it's why people want to come to Ireland now - and that until something is done to reduce that driver, the problem will continue to exist. Being a 'good Christian' - he asked what was the correct balance between inhumanly isolating the country from any individual in need.

I knew what border you were talking about but somehow you keep trying to tie Kamala to that border when in this very thread I've shown where Biden in his own words spelled out what Kamala's duties were in regards to immigration. It had nothing to do with controlling our southern border. So in regards to Kamala, the two are not related. I gave you the link to the graph you are speaking of. Let me tell you how people try to deceive others. they simply post numbers and make statements providing no links or sources for what they are claiming. Does that sound familiar? Because that's what you always do.

Let me explain something to you. You asked yet again at the end of your post if Kamala was or was not the border czar. That would mean you were asking if she was in charge of the border. No she was not. If you knew that to begin with, why did you ask that question.

I understand that you don't think that going from 90k encounters a month to 25k encounters a month by people from the northern triangle a month is doing anything and somehow in your mind that still equals a disaster. But that's only because a democrat accomplished that. If trump had done it you would be shouting it from the rooftops.
