Sources: The #Browns have agreed to terms with standout, do-it-all LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, who cashes in after a Pro Bowl season.

He gets a 3-year deal worth up to $39M with $25M guaranteed in a deal negotiated by CAA that gets the 24-year old back to the table quickly.

some good news

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Great news.

There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

I take this as 3 MORE years after this one? Is that correct?

Great news!

I'm curious where this falls in line with other LBs, whether guaranteed $ or APY. But it's interesting seeing this amount of money given overall relative to other position groups. The linebacker position just isn't what it once was in terms of value.

Great news and well deserved.

Excellent timing given the current Browns news cycle, too!

Current LB contracts (ALL). Granted some of these contracts are more aligned with edge rushers (Watt, Bosa for example) but here is a list all contracts. Segmenting for ILB, you get a better sense (I think) of comparable contracts. See below.

Seems like a good deal for us

JOK will also be 27 or 28 when this contract expires, so he could very well be in line for another huge pay day if his career maintains the current trajectory.

Once in a while you get what you want.

JOK was the only player the Browns drafted that I wanted to draft before the draft was held. That has nothing to do with me or the Browns.

It is just how things have worked out.

I like JOK as a player and a man. I like how he handles himself and what he has to say.

As a player I think the guy is a stud period. He has great game tools and he is a gifted athlete.

I have never owned a jersey. I may get his.

Looking forward to watching him this year.

That's awesome. Could use some good news with all the Hall drama going on.

I love that quote from AB! For all of the money getting dished out these days to players, with the skill set JOK possesses this seems like quite the bargain. While I know the LB'er position rarely ranks in high dollar contracts these days unless it's a special circumstance, I think the Browns just got a special circumstances LB'er at a regular LB'er price.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Based on the numbers, it looks like we couldn't have asked for a better contract

JOK looks cool in his native gear.

Check out the photos of him.

He looks the part.

Not sure if you remember but we both would have been happy to take him with the Browns first pick that year.... Delighted when we got him after not doing that.... Honestly think he's only going to improve.

I was so excited about the draft.

When we didn't draft him in the first. I was bummed out. Thought we had no chance to get him.

When the trade up in second came and it was announced. I went nuts. Jumping around my house calling my son. I could not believe that we drafted him.

Woods had all these plans for him. However, his scheme was not the right fit. Once Schwartz became the DC. JOK took off.

You see the same guy he was at ND.

Explosive, instinctive, athletic, good tackler, good at drop and cover. A three down linebacker.

His ability to shoot through trash and end a play is what I love.

I remember both you and Pit liking him. He is the type of player and man every team would like to have. IMO he has only scratched the surface. He will continue to improve. He is exciting to watch as a playmaker.

Awesome! I had no doubt we’d be locking him up soon and this makes it official. He’s just a very good football player and from what I can glean, a good person. Love his instincts and ability to wrap up and take ball carriers to the ground.

This is an example of JOK and how he handles himself:

"Cleveland has become a place where I've felt truly connected, where I've been able to align my values with my work on and off the field," Owusu-Koramoah said, via the team's official website. "I'm deeply grateful to the Browns organization for believing in me and for this opportunity to continue this journey together. I'm excited to keep pushing forward, to build on the foundation we've set and to work tirelessly alongside my teammates to achieve greatness for this city and its incredible fans."
