To be cutting ties with Ika after just 1 year is very telling. 3rd round pick, one year ago and not even the PS. Says a lot about how the coaching staff felt. I know (and acknowledge) he wasn't good, but was some of the issue also scheme (I believe he was brought in just prior to Schwartz arrival)?
There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

yeah Foreman is going to be our Hunt for this year - as long as he stays healthy
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Sucks they couldn't get anything for him.
Harbaugh used a pick to get Heinicke instead of getting Huntley for "free." Holding him a bit may have increased the chance of getting him to our practice squad. Roman was Huntley's OC in Baltimore I'm pretty sure. I could see Berry predicting the Chargers may have put in a claim. We'll see if he fills one of our open ps slots.

LOL - The Rish will be upset with this news as well. KS just doesn't prioritize winning...

In regards to Ika what I find refreshing is that this FO and coaching staff didn't simply hang on to the draft mistake they made. There isn't a single team in the NFL that doesn't miss on some draft picks. And that applies in every round. The Browns FO is no different. But all too often we see teams that keep hanging on to those draft mistakes. It's as if their egos simply won't allow them to own up to and move on from those mistakes. So I commend them for that.
But we all know how this works. There are certain people that will criticize them no matter what they do. I've seen it on social media. If they hang on to a draft pick that hasn't done well they catch hell for not moving on from him. If they move on quickly from a draft pick they made a mistake on, they catch hell for missing on the pick. It seems that's just the way it is I suppose.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

I understand why, but there's no way Watson is a captain lol

It is very sad news. Keep fighting Jim and don't give up. I lost my wife to Cancer 2 and a half years ago. I miss her dearly. God bless and you'll be in my prayers.

Sad news no doubt.
Jim has the pipes. Perfect guy to call games for the Browns.
There will be other voices now but you cannot replace Jim's voice.

What a shame. Selfishly I will miss his radio calls, but man, this poor guy and his family have faced so much. I don't normally tear up for people I don't know, but this is hard news. Prayers for strength to his family and huge circle of friends.

Sad news today. Just pure class and a fine game voice who always loyally backed the Browns. He is a legacy, part of the fans, the team, and its traditions. Keep fighting, Jim. And thank you for all you have given the Browns over many years. Prayers for you and your loved ones.

Think this likely means Conklin is the Week 1 starter at LT. Wills hasn't practiced if I remember correctly.

Andrew Berry is so on top of the cap that it is worthless to question him on the topic.
All I do is look at the roster. The cap is not something to worry about.
To my way of thinking you either trust Berry and KS or you do not. I for one am very happy to have both.
To have stability and continuity is very refreshing.
I feel good about the coming season. As we know lots can go wrong in a season. It takes many decisions to finalize on 53 players.
That roster has to hold up no matter what happens. Somebody is on top of the cap strategy. I am sure Berry is as well, but I don't think he is the capologist. Depo is the strategy officer. It's probably a few of those people in his department that crunch all the numbers.

I think you’re right. It’s not just one guy with a calculator making the cap decisions.

As I am sure you have heard me say many times over the years, the only thing worse than a blown pick is sticking with him. As you said, every teams misses on picks. Many fans feel like you should hit on every pick. Well, it doesn't work that way. It's best to just wash your hands, forget about it and move on.

I’m wondering: who on our current 53 will return punts? Proche was decent last season. Tulu Griffin, now on the PS, led the FBS in yards per kick return one season. He could be another call up option. Though he didn't do punt returns much at Mississippi State, mainly kick offs.

feels like it's going to be a radio announcer announcement

They're saying it has nothing to do with the stadium, so I suspect you're right.
Is "Haslam Sports Group" just tagged onto every announcement nowadays? Why can't we just be the Browns? lol
