We will certainly move one of the QBs toady. My guess is Huntley
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter Some veteran practice-squad signings:
🏈Mike Ford is heading back to Cleveland, where he played last season. 🏈Bobby McCain and Myles Gaskin are re-signing with the Vikings. 🏈Jakob Johnson is re-signing with the Giants.

Just a little more information on the LT conjecture in regards to Conklin vs Jones if need be. I'm not sure if the Browns ever had Conklin take any reps at LT but here is just a little background on that as it pertains to Jones from 2023...... Up until Sunday, Jones had been exclusively playing at right tackle, which is also the same spot he occupied on Ohio State’s offensive line during his final two years at the university. However, Jones did play left tackle at Ohio State during his freshman and sophomore years and started seven games over that span. In his 170 snaps as a left tackle at OSU, Jones only allowed one quarterback hurry and one sack. There could be several reasons for cross-training Jones this late into training camp. Obviously, the Browns envisioned Jones playing right tackle when they drafted him early on day three of the 2023 NFL Draft. But if the coaches, and Bill Callahan in particular, believe that Jones is ahead of schedule in his development then this might just be them putting more on his plate. Jones taking snaps at LT during 2023 training camp. As the season draws near, getting Jones looks on the left side of the line could also be in preparation for an eventual role as the team’s swing tackle. The switch on Sunday also put James Hudson, who has been the second-team left tackle, at offensive guard. Hudson spent the 2022 season as the Browns swing tackle, but with him getting looks at guard it could spell the end of that role if Jones picks it up quickly. However, it shouldn't be overlooked that the Browns could be starting to set up the dominoes for a move that will not take place until 2024 or 2025. Given the contractual situation the Browns are facing with Jedrick Wills, having a player in the wings to take over the left tackle position if they choose to move on from Wills would put the team in an extremely advantageous position. Whatever the team’s motivations are for getting Jones practice repetitions at left tackle, it cannot be argued that his expanding his skill set is a bad thing. It could also be as simple as the adage ‘the more that you can do’, and the Browns think Jones is ready for a larger role. Either way, watching Jones develop this preseason has been a ton of fun, and we should all be excited to see if he can reach his sky-high ceiling. https://dawgpounddaily.com/posts/cl...wand-jones-reps-left-tackle-01h8ak3hv9r3As I stated, this was from their 2023 training camp. Jones is a year more developed and there's no way of knowing what their plans are for the swing tackle position. I just thought this provided a little more background on Jones as it pertained to the possibility of him filling a bigger role at LT.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

I’m wondering: who on our current 53 will return punts? Proche was decent last season.

Proche and Darden will probably get called up from the practice squad at different times until Hines is good to go.

There's a TE. Thought we might try to bring back Forristal. Not sure if he overlapped with Rees at Bama or not.

To be cutting ties with Ika after just 1 year is very telling. 3rd round pick, one year ago and not even the PS. Says a lot about how the coaching staff felt.

Lol. He went three picks after Siaki Ika. Maybe he was on our board and now we're hoping for lightning in the other bottle. 🤣

Just thinking outside the box here...I wonder if the Browns might keep Huntley and use him in a non-QB role? The guy is a great runner. It might be worth crafting out a role for him. He is a QB, so he can probably catch.
Again, just a thought from left field.

He was too big and too slow with bad feet.
I'm sure there was an ultimatum of sorts after last season and he came back unimproved.

I agree, his feet were no good and for a guy that big, he just couldn't fight. Some team in need a 1 tech might give him a look.

To Ika’s credit he did come back this year in much better shape. Problem is he just isn’t good at football. At least not the way we want him to play.

Andrew Berry is so on top of the cap that it is worthless to question him on the topic.
All I do is look at the roster. The cap is not something to worry about.
To my way of thinking you either trust Berry and KS or you do not. I for one am very happy to have both.
To have stability and continuity is very refreshing.
I feel good about the coming season. As we know lots can go wrong in a season. It takes many decisions to finalize on 53 players.
That roster has to hold up no matter what happens.

I'm sure there was an ultimatum of sorts after last season and he came back unimproved. I think the problem was more he fell over when anything touched him way too often. At least Hooper caught the ball before he fell. We wanted a solid wall that could compress the pocket, but got more of a lumpy speed bump and/or sliding door that flew open way too easily depending on the play.

Again, just a thought from left field. Think DTR would be a better fit for that role. If we chose to go that direction.
