"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Celebrated my Mom's birthday with pizza and salad. Nothing special but the time spent with her. When I was a season ticket holder, we'd always go to the home opener. As usual, the Browns lost. But she gets great joy listening to me scream at the TV about the crappy play and lousy coaching so it's a win. She doesn't have many openers left and I hope she the Browns win a Super Bowl before she is called home.
After 55 years, I'm walking away from this dumpster fire. Good luck to everyone who continues to hang on. You'll need it.

Days like that make me sad that I stopped smoking weed.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

LOL - The Rish will be upset with this news as well. KS just doesn't prioritize winning...

Super crisp usually homemade pickles. Not actually canned so they stay in the fridge and only have about a three week shelf life.

They are usually best the second day. We grow enough cukes to pace ourselves the whole summer with fridge pickles of various varieties. She will buy other pickles for the big canning for winter.

What kind of cukes?
Do they actually pick up some heat from the jalapenos after a couple days?
I want to make some -- it's been a while.

She grows "lunchbox" cucumbers, on a vertical trellis. When we put jalapeños in the brine (not really a brine*) gets spicy, not sure the slices of cucumber infuse much.
Of course spicy is relative and I don't, personally, think jalapeños are very spicy, but I love the tingle and flavor. Some spicier peppers I don't like the flavor of.
*If I recall her brine is 1:1 white vinegar to sugar by volume.

Thx for the bump refs.
For the Jacksonville game…
Bacon wrapped water chestnuts, cover em in bbq sauce with a dash of sugar.
Make some fresh spaghetti sauce, then boil some rotini noodles.
Cut up some ciabatta- all it needs is a little butter on top.
Then scream at my tv for about 3.5 hours.

I am going to toss a couple hot dogs into a CI pan today. I have some BBQ chips to have with it. I am watching alone this week.

For Dallas we did burgers, boneless chicken and brats on the grill. Some watermelon and my son made some killer nachos.
For today, I was going with burgers and dogs with some shrimp on the grill and still working on the sides. My son just came in and said he might want to cook dinner, so we will see.

My pregame might end up just being a double cortado and I'll eat at half time, if I can stomach it.

Walleye fillets on the Blackstone. No breading, just butter, lemon juice, paprika and Old Bay seasoning.....and tons of tartar sauce for the wife.
