He was elevated for New Orleans’ Week 1 game and played special teams for them. Hudson has 12 career starts to his name, including eight in 2023 with the Commanders.

Now, the question remains where that roster spot is coming from. The Browns had multiple players who left the game on Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys with an injury. Two linebackers in second-year player Mohamoud Diabate and Tony Fields II were among them.

Could we see Diabate land on Injured Reserve to clear the roster spot for Hudson? The Browns will announce a subsequent move soon to make room to add Hudson to their active roster.

No parenthesis around Wills' and Conklin's name to indicate injury. Hopefully, they will be ready.

it's tough for me to believe that Wills only needed a few more days. Either he could have suited up last week or he can't this week

Thornhill? What happened to him? I'm surprised Njoku isn't on that list.

So players that aren't able to start one week can't be able to start the next week? If that were true no player would ever return form an injury. Because I mean they couldn't play the week before, right?

I'm not just talking about the game ... he is practicing today (Wednesday). That's less than 72 hours after our game.

And that means what exactly? That's why you have team doctors. To determine when a player is available to practice or play and are far enough along to play after an injury. What day of the week that happens to fall on is a non issue. You do realize that practicing is very different than playing in a game, right? I think it's simply gotten quite popular to question Wills no matter the circumstances. Let's face it, when he wasn't playing people questioned him. Now that he is no longer on the injury list and able to practice you are questioning him.

So if he doesn't play it's bad and if he does play it's bad? That's the very definition of a no win situation.

Maybe it's neither Good nor Bad, but it is definitely something that should make you go "Hmmmm".

What you're saying is valid and makes perfect sense for someone injured in-season.
What he's saying is valid and makes perfect sense for someone injured the previous season and has had since mid-December (nearly 9 months) to be ready. The chances that at that stage that just another day or three would make a difference is nearly nil.

thanks for being more articulate than I am Purp ... that was my point. Wills has been injured since December. What are the chances he can't play in a GAME on September 8, but can play in PRACTICE on September 11?

How does "when you're injured" relate to "when you're ready to play"? So what would the magic day be that would make everyone more comfortable about the team doctors clearing him? Four days after the last game, five maybe? You're ready to play when you're eady to play and what day that happens to fall on seems like a pretty ridiculous method of raising anyone's suspicion.

The pace of practice isn't the same as games. You can't take plays off on game day. Now he's building back his stamina. It's not just being able to play. It's being able to play at a high level consistently without having setbacks. Wills is still ramping up. I can understand not wanting to throw him right into the fire as soon as he's capable of practicing. Parsons and Lawrence full go were definitely not the next step in working his way back into form.

I think this as well. I can see his knee being good to go awhile ago...but him showing up in negative overall shape resulted in more time to get ready than otherwise necessary. He's a blob.

What happened to J Darden? This team has such a weird way of churning the bottom of the roster. TEs? We don't need no stinking TEs...what we need is to have about (9) guys who can return kicks/punts. Then we have a guy or (2) as ST "specialists"...who we don't want to play from scrimmage...and who gave up a punt return TD on opening day. So odd.

As soon as I saw him land I thought hip. Paired with the way he was carted off with his leg up, I knew his hip was dislocated. Tough injury. Especially if they have to perform surgery.

Will one or both of Browns OTs Jed Wills and Jack Conklin possibly be ready for Week 3?

Stefanski: “Yeah, potentially.”

So probably not.

There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

I deeply suspect that with all the guys we have coming back from big injury they’re playing it super duper safe. They want these guys available for the second half and hopefully post season. They probably feel like they can win ~enough~ games in the first half to stay viable and then load up for the second half. Of course that plan goes out the window if your starting QB gets creamed but they’re playing it safe with all the injuries. It seemed like they had DW in shotgun way more this week, which is what they’re going to need to keep doing for as long as the OL is Swiss cheese. I bet they’ll wait a little extra with Najoku as well.
