An ABC station ignited a flurry of conspiracy theories after it aired what appeared to be official election results for Pennsylvania that showed Kamala Harris easily winning the key swing state — more than a week before Election Day.

The shocking result popped up at the bottom of the screen during Sunday’s broadcast of the Formula 1 Mexico Grand Prix by ABC local affiliate WNEP-TV, which services the northern part of the Keystone State.

It showed the Vice President capturing 52% of the votes, compared to 47% for Republican challenger Donald Trump, with 100% of the precincts reporting.

I would bet that all networks are testing stuff so they can have everything set to go....It would be dumb not to.

Yep! This is the calm before the storm.Seeing they are trying their best to disqualify voters at the last minute, bringing up any little thing they can hang their “They cheated” hat on before November 5th, and continue planning their coup #2 if he loses… you can’t make this crap up. Make no mistake Trump will do anything to get back into power and then he will do anything to end our democracy.

Haven’t owned a gun for over 30 years. We bought two a month ago, just because half the country acts insane over this traitorous trash.

Quoted for truth. I don't work for any station and hope never to have to again. However when I did, we would always test new graphics, overlays, and scrolls along with how to feed data into them in order to be prepared. Somebody just accidentally published it. It is very easy to do. Luckily in my new roll we have a "sandbox environment" where we can mess with all sorts of things without risk of it being published. Much easier to do that since I'm not in a live broadcast environment.

No different than pushing a change on your repo. You have a dev branch and a main branch. I’ve accidentally sent updates to the wrong branch more than once.
