Down 10 heading into the 4th qtr against a pesky underdog that wants to spoiler.
With 82 games to play, the Cavs could have easily chalked this up as a loss on the second night of a back-to-back.
This team is on a mission.

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

I don't get to watch the Cav's unless they are on a national TV schedule.
I check the box scores and watch the highlights.
What the hell is going on?
11-0 .
That cannot be an accident. Are they really this good?

they really are. The offense is light years better. The players have developed. The energy is higher

Not ready to sign up for the NBA package but I will watch when possible.
I need something. The Browns are not interesting at all.
Baseball is months away. So it's the Cav's.

Everyone who watched the Cavs last year was wringing their hands about how to use the pieces they have, how to space the floor with 2 bigs, how to not rely so heavily on Mitchell, how to get Garland back into the groove, how to maximize a bench that on paper says it should be pretty good, etc etc.
Right out of the gates it seems like Atkinson has all the answers. I dearly hope they’re not peaking too early and manage a warriors ‘15-‘16 kind of season-long run but only time will tell. How we play the Celtics over the course of the season will tell us a lot. How we respond to loss will tell us a lot. You gotta love how spread out the minutes are. He’s leaning on the bench a lot. It was the bench that sparked last night. It hints at a lot of potential resilience moving forward, which is a big thing this team has lacked.
Currently it’s only the Celtics and no other team in the east other than us that seems to have woken up. That will change of course, I don’t think the Bucks and Knicks will stay down long, they’ll go on a run at some point and get back up. But right now only 2 teams in the east look like they’re fully awake.
It’s truly astounding the difference a coach can make. Like it’s a totally different team.

Yeah I think most of us watching last year knew JB was the issue for most of it. His rotations didn't make sense, he didn't go deep enough in his bench during the season and relied on Mitchell way too much, his personnel groupings were stupid. The Cavs won in spite of him. KA has come in, developed a strict rotation that includes a deep bench, so guys know.. at this minute, you're in until this minute. guys can stay engaged and fresh. Biggest downfall also under JB is players couldn't develop. He didn't know how to use the tools he had. KA comes in and says, Mobley and Mitchell on the floor together and Garland and Allen together.. small tweak but made a huge difference

#LetEmKnow Nick Nurse and the 76ers made the Cavs work for it tonight. Really looking forward to the Boston game. Big NBA Cup game on Friday vs Chi-Town

Wild streak. the worse the team the tighter the game apparently. Scary part is we could potentially get better with some trades, get rid of guys like Niang for some more athletic wings that fit what we try to do. So far this season, not really impressed with Wade or okoro. they are too inconsistent. Niang is just about the worst BBall player I've ever seen in my life on an nba roster.....if TT wasn't still on a roster..lol, Levert has been stellar, and Jerome has really come in and been able to provide a spark. Our starters had to play quite a few more minutes than normal but they got it done. To put in perspective, only 3 players in the rotation have a PIE(player Impact Estimate) of less than 10, Niang, Okoro, and wade. 10 is about where an average player will sit that gets 15-20 min a game. They are all around 5-6, But its just picking nits at this point because there's only so many ways to say we are rolling and there's nothing to talk about lol., its like not knowing what to do with your hands. So obviously every team can improve, those are the players I think can be improved and improve our chances of a deeper run into the playoffs. Two more middle of the road teams before we take on Boston on the road. That will be a great litmus test because Boston is playing well too. We beat them, then the confidence will be out of the gym. Then who knows, 24-0 might not be out of the realm

I have the Boston game marked down for "have to watch."
I am not a huge BB guy. Last time I got into it was when LeBron and Cav's won it all.
So this is great. I want to get behind a team.

There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

Love this partnership with the Cleveland Museum of Art. My wife and I are donors and regularly visit. Between Playhouse Square last year and Cleveland Museum of Art this year, the Cavs have done a fantastic job of connecting with the city.

It funny to see the trolls like Shaq and Steven A.. like they've ever had a relevant take on anything. Boston fans are even more hilarious, saying boston will beat cleveland down. I really hope we give them the Golden State treatment, so they can go back into their holes or shaq can go film a Depends commercial or something.
