So what crime are you alleging here? Did Hunter use the fact he was the president's son for financial gain? Most likely. Did he claim to have the ear of the president and that was a good reason for people to grease his palms? Most likely. Aren't you in the same group that whines when it comes to whatabouts?
So what actual crimes are you saying in addition to the ones brought forth to date other than thinking Republicans would go on a witch hunt are you alleging here? So far I've heard noting about that part of it from any of you. You do realize you quoted a post in which there was no mention of trump, right?

I thought he said he wouldn't pardon him? https://www.kpax.com/politics/president-biden-pardons-son-hunter-biden-weeks-before-white-house-exitPresident Biden pardons son Hunter Biden weeks before White House exit By: Scripps News Staff President Joe Biden has pardoned his son Hunter Biden nearly seven weeks before President Biden leaves the White House. The pardon comes months after Hunter Biden pleaded guilty to federal tax charges on the same day jury selection in his trial was scheduled to begin. "Today, I signed a pardon for my son Hunter," President Biden said. "From the day I took office, I said I would not interfere with the Justice Department’s decision-making, and I kept my word even as I have watched my son being selectively, and unfairly, prosecuted. Without aggravating factors like use in a crime, multiple purchases, or buying a weapon as a straw purchaser, people are almost never brought to trial on felony charges solely for how they filled out a gun form. Those who were late paying their taxes because of serious addictions, but paid them back subsequently with interest and penalties, are typically given non-criminal resolutions. It is clear that Hunter was treated differently." The charges against Biden carry a maximum penalty of up to 17 years in prison. However, the Justice Department has noted that sentences issued for federal crimes are typically less than the maximum penalties. Biden was scheduled to be sentenced in December. The president's son was accused of engaging in a four-year scheme to evade paying taxes totaling at least $1.4 million and falsifying some of his tax returns by claiming personal spending as business expenses. He should have done this from jump. GOPers would never allow their sons to be put through that in Biden’s position. Hell, they let a traitorous J6 insurrectionist back into power, there is no lower than that.

Republican or Democrat, it’s pretty disgusting. This legal get outta jail free system should be seriously reviewed. I don’t understand the constitutionality of it but I think most people believe it’s intended to be a system reserved for righting egregious legal wrongs, not rewarding and protecting friends and family. I’m old enough to know both parties do this but it’s no less disgusting.

I agree. I never paid much attention until the extreme amount that Obama pardoned (1927, highest since Harry Truman). That was spotlit by the fact that both Bush's were extremely low (under 300 combined). Clinton granted 459. Trump was very low at 237.
Seems like this has been a "do as you like" perk for all presidents in our history... Most ever was Franklin D. Roosevelt at 3687. Even Honest Abe granted clemency to 343, including a family member.

Political persecution seems to fit that bill very well.

Political persecution seems to fit that bill very well. Yes, this! Hunter was a victim of political persecution!! In fact, I'm pretty sure it was Trump that made him skip out on all federal taxes for years, smoke crack, and lie about it while purchasing a gun.

Maybe because trump and his cronies have shown what a crap show they intend to make out of his term.
So all you have is a "Yeah but why does hunter need"?.....
Pretty much the type of response I expected. Fate just provided you with receipts. It's about time you recognize...Even you, as a hardcore Democrat should be able to see the evidence.

That would really rile him up.

Even you, as a hardcore Democrat should be able to see the evidence. I've seen a lot of evidence. Michael Flynn –Former National Security Adviser who pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI over contacts with a Russian official. Roger Stone –Trump ally convicted of lying to Congress regarding his attempts to contact WikiLeaks after the website released damaging emails about Trump's 2016 election rival Hillary Clinton. Paul Manafort – Former Trump campaign chairman convicted of financial fraud, alleged Russian meddling in the 2016 U.S. election and conspiring to obstruct the investigation. Steve Bannon – Former Trump adviser charged with fraud related to a border wall fundraising campaign. Pardoned as one of Trump's final acts in office. George Papadopoulos – Former Trump campaign adviser convicted of lying to the FBI about his contacts with Russian intermediaries prior to the 2016 election. Albert Pirro – The ex-husband of Trump ally Jeanine Pirro, a Fox News Channel host, convicted of conspiracy and tax evasion charges. Joe Arpaio – Former Arizona sheriff convicted of contempt of court for targeting immigrants. Charles Kushner – Father of Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner, convicted of tax evasion and witness tampering, and recently nominated by Trump as the U.S.'s ambassador to France. He not only pardoned Kushner he is rewarding him with an ambassadorship. Where was your outrage then? His own cronies many of which worked with him in The White House while committing these crimes? Now suddenly you and others try to display some faux outrage. You're all hilarious.

Can you tell me anything I posted there that was false? No, you can't because it's all true and all you have in response is a huge nothing burger. AND BTW, I never watch MSNBC. I think you listen to too many Joe Rogan podcasts with probably a little Alex Jones sprinkled in for good measure. Would you actually like to address the points I made? Address trump pardoning his cronies? I didn't think so. I mean all of you have managed to avoid it like the plague so far why should anything change now?

From a historical perspective, pardons were to correct an injustice of the justice system, and took quite an effort for independent review to assure that the pardon was based on its merits.
I believe Clinton got lambasted for one of his.
Trump handed the pardons out like get free pancakes at an all you can eat breakfast buffet. They went to his buddies for getting caught with their hands caught in the cookie jar. You’re his buddy and you were caught doing things you should not have done, here you go.
That’s what is wrong.
I have no issue with Biden’s hypocrisy given the circumstances.

I have no issue with Biden’s hypocrisy given the circumstances. Trump issued 237 pardons, by way of comparison Obama issued 1927. I think your assertions are a bit hyperbolic. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_...cy_by_the_president_of_the_United_StatesThe biggest issue I have a with Hunter's pardon is the the 11 year blanket. That seems very weird to me. You can't be pardoned if you didn't commit a crime.

I dare you to prove what Pit said isn't factual......That's the trouble with Trump supporters, if it's not what they want to hear, it's because they hear it from a source that Trump said isn't reliable. Which of course is a big steamy pile of BS

I have no issue with Biden’s hypocrisy given the circumstances. Corruption is corruption. Dems ran their campaign mostly on the basis of "Trump = Bad", which when it comes to corruption and playing by a different set of rules I could actually get behind. Then he turned around and did this. I guess that's just the state of politics these days, but it's just so dumb to me to be screaming about how bad for democracy and corrupt Trump is and how we shouldn't pay attention to his nonsense about being targeted by DoJ, and then turn around and validate all of it by doing the same thing. And I imagine the same dems that don't have a problem with what Biden is doing are also flabbergasted by the election results.
There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

Most of the time when trying to determine a winner one keeps score. You are not wrong that Biden should never have done this. But when looking at the scoreboard he is well behind the leader in the self serving pardon department.

I've said all along we were left having to choose between the lesser of two evils. Nothing about that was good. I wonder how else you would suggest we measure that metric?

I think a lot of the Obama pardons were associated with "The War on Drugs" sentences that were vogue in the 80's/90's.
That is not the same as handing your personal friend a "Get out of jail free card" for doing your dirty work and getting caught.
If you recall, one of Hunters contention for that guilty plea that was ultimately tossed out was immunity from future prosecution if a republican administration came back into power. He got his wish. Given the list of Trumps cabinet nominees, Hunter probably needed it.
The flavor of politics these days it to go for the jugular now, and to hope that you will not be a victim when your party is out of power.

My point was Trump wasn't handing out pardons like free pancakes. Did he pardon "personal friends?" Sure. Did he issue blanket pardons to family members? He did not. Was that something that people were wringing their hands over before he left office? Yep. The "but Trump" continues to keep people from discussing the guy in the office that has done things, cause ya know.... Trump.

When Trump and his surrogates threatens revenge on those of the opposition and their families then, well, the opposition has every right to defend themselves from that revenge full stop.

Well, well, it took you a long time to admit that he was pardoning personal friends, or cronies, or henchmen, or whatever you want to call them. Luckily no Trump family members were in Hunter's situation. I am not excusing Biden, but Trump "breaking of precedent" multiple times was the problem and had to be a factor into Biden's hypocrisy. Which is exactly why "but Trump" continues to keep people from discussing the guy in the office that has done things, cause ya know.... Trump. Politics is an dirty game, and Trump covered himself in mud with that one... which reminds me of the saying.... An 11 year blanket pardon for his son kinda trumps anything Trump did.

So pardoning multiple people that he himself brought into the White House that were doing his own bidding "isn't as bad"? And let's face it, all of the cumulative things trump has done has been excused by the right by blaming it all on the left. And on this board ignoring it all together. All you've had in response is "TDS!" Some grade school, school yard BS to take the focus of everything he's done. And now you want to point that finger in the other direction? Hilarious. You ignored those issues for four years and now pretend you have some gotchya moment.

Yet you can cite no examples. It's what you do.
