I don't know how you Dawgs can put such product into your bodies. Not even n support of the Browns.
Just can't do it.

Signing DW has been the defining moment of Browns ineptitude…
Worse than trading Paul Warfield. It hurt when it happened. I have no empirical evidence to support my supposition, but I'd lay my life's last bet on the premise that the Deshaun Watson deal was mandated by the team's owner. No reputable NFL FO would have swung such a trade, if they were not under the thumb of an overbearing, "know-it-all" Dunning-Kruger- type owner. ______________ One of my best friends has been a lifelong DAL fan. He's repeatedly told me: "Your owner will continue to do do the Browns what Jerry Jones has done to my team. I'd leave The Boys for the Browns, if I thought I'd get different results..."

Nate Zegura works for the Browns.
He knows what he said will be looked at by the Browns.
There has to be word inside Berea that DW is toast.
He would have never made a statement like that.
Mmmmm ……spam on toast.

I'm so tired of hearing about Watson lol - it's been 3 years of hell for our franchise with him
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

I like Spam. Not my favorite by any means, but a winter staple I keep out in the garage pantry in case of snow in's or power outages. It's ok fried up on bread, but I like to mix it in with something. Spam with mac and cheese cooked up on my propane jet stove is easy to do and works just fine in a pinch.
I like to keep plenty I can eat right out of the can without having to cook it if power is out and fuel in out. Spam is one of those items.

That's the thing about all of this. When there was an actual hearing to see all of the evidence it was much easier for the NFL to punish watson for his deeds. But when you pay women off and have them sign a NDA much of the evidence never comes to light. That leaves nothing shown to punish him for. Having watson pay all of those women off to keep them quiet and the evidence hidden was great advice on the part of his attorney.

Watson did get punished. Unless there were some evidence that pointed toward actual rape, I don't think the punishment would have been any more severe.
That said, I do agree that NDAs play a dark role in "the system".

He was punished based on I believe two cases the NFL heard. He paid off more than 20 cases that never saw the light of day........ Deshaun Watson settles 20 of 24 sexual misconduct lawsuits https://www.cnbc.com/2022/06/21/deshaun-watson-settles-20-of-24-sexual-misconduct-lawsuits.htmlThat was in June of 2022. He has settled the others since then.

I get that. The NFL was aware of the allegations in all the cases that were settled. I'm just saying that only if those allegations moved into a territory that inferred rape, would his NFL punishment have been more severe. That's obviously just my opinion though.

I really don't know how the NFL would have reacted to these other cases had all of the evidence had been brought to light in a courtroom. I don't actually know all of the evidence they had against watson in those other cases either. None of us will ever know now. I know he was advised it was in his best interest not to have it all play out in court. So it's only my opinion as well.

Sounds like they are close to extending Teller. I hope they're not looking to spend too much. He's been slowly trending down since his first season here.

Yeah, I would be careful to extend him too much/spend too much. He's definitely slowed down ... but I also realize we don't have any depth either

I have absolutely no problem with kicking the tires on a guy like this (clear talent, but missing something that caused him to flame out elsewhere). Especially during a season like this one. He couldn't have been waived soon enough after this game, but I stop short calling it a waste of time. Maybe it should've been more of a red flag that it took him so long to get activated off the practice squad.

CLEVELAND (AP) — The Cleveland Browns placed cornerback Greg Newsome II on injured reserve Tuesday and waived wide receiver Kadarius Toney, who made two critical mistakes in Sunday's loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Newsome will miss the remainder of this season after injuring his hamstring in the 27-14 loss. https://www.smdailyjournal.com/spor...f25ea2a-7f16-5d9d-a7f1-422306230a1f.html

Too bad about KT. After his performance on Sunday, he definitely showed he belonged on this team. Well, we'll just have to find someone else to commit stupid penalties and fumble. I'm sure he's already on the roster!!!!

The worst thing about this horrible year was the expectations.
I thought we would be good.
We were coming off winning eleven games. We had the highest ranked defense.
Watson was going to be healthy and ready to go in an offense built for him.
It all turned into s***.
There are all kinds of reasons. You pick your flavor. In the end outside of beating the Steelers and Ravens the season stinks.
We were out of the race at 1-6. Done.
Now we are back in line to find a quarterback. The Never Ending Story. And we cannot even get rid of Watson.
There is no fast track to success. No do this. Do that and volla all is well.
Truth be told. I don't see solutions right now. I don't see draft picks that will save the day.
I see us with a cast off from another team as the starting quarterback and a roster lacking talent at many positions.
The competition in the AFC includes Mahomes, Allen, Lamar, Burrow, Herbert, Stroud, Tua, Lawrence. We don't have a quarterback that would beat any of them out.
What are the chances of winning the AFC anytime soon?
I don't care who gets fired or who gets hired. It does not change that.
Outside of a small interest in the draft my interest in football is at all time low.

I agree - the expectations were high but the realization that we will be mired in SUCK for years to come sucks just as bad

Maybe it should've been more of a red flag that it took him so long to get activated off the practice squad. The signing and the predictable outcome is, and was, emblematic of the franchise. It was most certainly a waste of time. It was akin to "kicking the tires" on other losers like Dwayne Bowe and Kenny Britt.

I think signing KT is the epitome of Berry's condition. He/they think they are smarter than everyone else. KT is a certified bonehead...not an underachieving, former 1st Rd guy now flyer.
He loves him some under-the-radar guys in the draft - and in places in the draft - that have zero business being drafted where they are...because he's so much damn smarter than everyone else. Chad Thomas, Schwartz, Ika, Togiai, Bell, Elliot, Wills, Winfrey, York.
He's given out extensions like candy in a child's parade...he's spent more $$$ than any GM in the league for years and he's now in a 3 win season with an old roster.
He punted a top half QB for a bottom 3 QB and 1/4 billion along with (3) 1st RD picks +...he didn't sign Flacco so as to not hurt DeShone's feelings.
Other than spending Jimmy's $$$, exactly what is it about Berry and his work that is noteworthy?

I agree. Berry stepped into a GM dream with the draft capital and cap space he had available. He squandered it all. He's in his 5th year and could have built something really special with those resources, instead we have this dumpster fire. He's traded or let walk much better talent than he's acquired, and the elite players on our team all came from Dorsey. He fits right in with the likes of Farmer, Kokinis, Sashi Brown or Dwight Clark for GM ineptitude. I'll always have a soft spot for Sashi Brown for the fax machine "mishap" though.

Dream draft capital for Berry? - only Dorsey had the dream draft capital (4 picks in top 32 1st year - 2 in the top 4). He squandered and traded picks away with the best of them.

Berry's first draft was the Jed Wills draft. Not only did Berry choose Jed Wills..he passed on the opportunity to draft Tristan Wirfs ...2021 All Pro ...2022 2nd team All Pro ...2021, 2022, 2023 Pro Bowl
Wills did earn a 9 on his wonderlic test...what the hell was Berry thinking..? Tackles are tackles...?

Insider Names The ‘Biggest Problem’ With The Browns
December 11, 2024 By Ernesto Cova @ejcovap The Cleveland Browns have a very good team for the most part.
They’ve usually fared well in trades and free agency.
However, it takes more than that to be a successful football team.
That’s why team insider Tony Grossi didn’t hesitate to talk about their need for football acumen when asked what the Browns needed to get better at.
On ESPN Cleveland’s “The Really Big Show,” Grossi argued that the Browns needed to draft better.
ESPN Cleveland
@ESPNCleveland . @TonyGrossi says that the Browns need more football guys making decisions going forward.
"This team does not draft terrifically."

Draft better? That’s not much of a revelation. We Browns fans have known that for years! But the question is, how do the Browns accomplish the goal of improving their draft..?
How does Andrew Berry improve his ability to identify and draft the type of talent that helps the Browns win a Super Bowl..?
A few months after the 2020 draft, Wirfs was starting for the Tampa Bay in the Super Bowl.
Maybe it takes more computers and analytics operators to judge football talent?
OR, maybe Grossi was right...the Browns need more football guys.
