Breaking: QB Bailey Zappe is the #Browns No. 2 today behind Dorian Thompson-Robinson, and ahead of Jameis Winston, who was questionable with a sore shoulder, source tells clevelanddotcom.

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Wouldn't it be fantastic if DTR had a great game today? We can only hope.

In one way yes. Possibly in another way not so much. Often times things like that turn out to be the problem. The FO sees just enough hope in a player they hang on to something that's fools gold and waste more precious time investing in a flawed product.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

I agree. Although I am a fan of the timing. DTR can earn himself three chances to show what he's learned and how he's developed. Personally, I think it's fool's gold from the POV that he's likely a multi-year project. If DTR ever becomes a household name, it will be in 2028 (give or take) on another team. JMO

My hope is he plays well enough so that are no hard feelings when next year's camp starts with a QB competition.

I don't see anything that resembles an actual legitimate NFL starting QB on the Browns roster and that includes watson. I also don't see Winston as being a valid bridge QB until the Browns, if the current Browns find a franchise QB. So for me the Browns are at a juncture that no matter who they start it's all rather meaningless. I file it under the "no harm no foul" category. Be it DTR or Zappe at this point they're just using what they have on the roster in a futile attempt to fill a cavernous hole much akin to putting a band aid on a bullet wound.

With the way watson has played since he's been here there shouldn't be any "hard feelings" from him about a QB competition in camp next year. But there probably will be. Hopefully they'll sign someone between now and then that may play to the level of an actual NFL starting QB to compete against him.

This team is an embarrassment. Good news this will be over before half so we will be able to go do something else

What’s the record for how quickly into a game a team giving up? I think we just broke it.

Funny how this roster has been over rated for the past
Few years. Defense was so overhyped last year
Cause they played clown QBs and it made the defense look
Better than it was

Bengals could have scored just as easily if our defense wasn’t even on the field.

I’d be 100 ok with trading Myles. He’s not a game changer . He’s a pass rush specialist. We don’t win any more or less with him. 99 yard td drive. No one on this team should be safe
