So I started to watch Trump’s media conference today about the mid-air collision because it interrupted The Price is Right, ffs, and for giggles I kept watching. Well, the smile was soon wiped off my face.

I don’t like doing this because there are DTers who seem to support Trump, but I like them as DTers because a few have my back in music threads (shout out, Jfan!) but the marbles bouncing around Trump’s skull today and finding their way out his yapper was laughable.

First he wondered if it was air traffic controllers who were at fault, then the helicopter pilot. Then Obama and Biden. It’s a wonder he didn’t bring up Canada being a 51st state again, an idea that makes me hate him even more.

How did this clown become president, twice? What do people see in him? Serious question.

He also blamed it on Mayor Pete who responded by basically calling Trump a liar!

I also saw on Facebook someone write that it happened on Trumps watch so it's his fault... I don't buy in on that either.

This Blame Game mentality is a waste of time.. We have over 60 people dead... we have grieving families...

Now is not the time from Trump to act in this manner but you knew that he would.

Trump never assumes responsibility for bad outcomes, regardless of who may have contributed. But he claims success for good outcomes, even when he wasn’t remotely involved. That’s what narcissist do. He even blames his own shortcomings on others making him a narcissist-sissy. And he is a master propaganist-n-chief.

He’s not inexcusably dumb for a silver-spoon-baby, but you will never see his school grades.

I cooulkd go on like that all day with examples but why bother, it won’t change a damn thing.

Well let us see, in the past 9 days he has fired the FAA Director, put a hiring freeze on Air Traffic Controllers, disbanded the Aviation Safety Advisory Committee, sent the buyout/retirement email to federal employees including FAA members.

Yup, his hands are clean.

This was clearly an avoidable accident. It might have happened in Trump won or not.

lol... I saw that in his post and thought to myself "DL05 post in 3... 2... 1..."

The most sad part of the entire thing to me is the fact the purpose of this was to send condolences to the families of the dead. Those suffering and mourning the loss of family and friends. This was such a devastating and unexpected loss of life. All that was required of him was a minimum thread of human decency. Just an ounce of compassion.

But none of that exists within him. This is what he is. This is who he is.

The Republican party had other candidates they could have nominated. People with whom some of us would not have agreed with all of their policies. People with whom we may not have agreed with everything they had to say. But at least they would have the ability to act like a normal human being.

This is what they wanted. This is what they asked for and as a result this is what we all got.

You're not trying to tell us what they always say about everything else are you? That just throwing money at it isn't rebuilding it?

Someone should ask trump what race the air traffic controller is. are they gay? do they have a disability? are they mentally challenged?

It’s frustrating because FATE, very much to his credit, is the only person who will talk to me substantively on these topics, from a Trump supporting lens.

Many others say things that make me go “How could they possibly think this?” So I ask. Never an answer.

No answers but they will defend him until their dying breath. It’s a special brand of bizarre mental olympics, watching them try to make the things Trump does and says seem even somewhat normal and professional. From staged Oval Office skits to complete incompetence in all matters, and not so much as a wince from the hardcore base. He has already targeted many of his voters with punishing moves and they just can’t stop being loyal lapdogs. It’s like watching an abusive relationship crescendo into the unthinkable as the victim cries for more. I hate it all so much, but can’t take my eyes off of it.

And I have one thought for MAGA… if it happens on his watch, he owns it. Stop blaming Biden, DEI, etc… Trump is the one in power and making swift overreaching ridiculous moves, causing chaos. I don’t want to hear why Trump thinks it’s somebody else’s fault… I want to hear what the hell he’s going to do about it.

Every other POTUS in modern history accepts the philosophy that “the buck stops here”… except excuse boy.

Do you care that he tried to overturn an election that he clearly lost.. I mean 60+ courts said so. THey said there wasn't any evidence.

Do you care that his actions or should I say INactions may have cost hundreds of thousands of American Lives....

DO you care that he is a FELON....

There is also reasonable evidence to suggest that they used voting purges, throwing out legitimate votes to the tune of 3.5 million Kamala votes to tamper with or rig the 24 election. Yet that got almost zero coverage. But it smells like an open air fish market.

Maybe. Trump had COVID Help his numbers. Numbers in 2024 for Biden were way down. Deportations under Biden surpassed Trump.

Economy -
Meh - Biden inherited a crap sandwich. Biden did not create the inflation. He had to deal with it. The economy is doing and has done fine and in comparison to the rest of the world has done better than ROTW. In Trumps first term he rode the Obama wave - economy performed similarly under both with the exception of COVID. I think your claimhere is based on emotion not fact.

Energy -
Biden's America produced record oil production even as Biden promoted clean energy. Your claim here is mostly faulty and based on emotion not fact.

Ending DEI -
DEI is still a merit based system despite what you or Trump might claim. Diversity of leadership is proven to be more effective than non diverse leadership. I'd say this is your opinion of something positive. I think it's very easy and valid to say supporting diversity is positive.

Men in women's sports -
Meh - you really think that's somthing the POTUS should be worried about? I thought Rep's were supposed to be for small govenrment? I may agree that men in women's sport is undesirable. I don't need POTUS to concern himself with it.

Rebuilding the Military -
Emotion not fact.

Overhauling FBI & CIA -
When? How? Why? If anything I'd say a huge negative. All Trump does is appoint sycophants to positions of important. He's a bully and has zero regard for anything but himself. He will weaponize these organizations if given half a chance.

Strong foreign presence -
So far he's doing a fine job of sucking up to our enemies while pissing off and agitating allies. There is no strong foreign presense. There might be a fear of what a simpleton who apparently panders to Putin will do.

Put America first -
Your opinion and a pretty soft emotion based claim. I'd argue based on history he puts Trump first - period.

SC justices probably not a highlight for the Republicans - support and trust in them is at a near record low. As it should be using evidenced based analysis of some of their actions.

I read it that WSU supported Trump based on those bullet points. I have given my opinion on each bullet point. Some based on 2025 some based on his first term (like his pandering to Putin and other dictators).

Most of his bullet points actually criticized trump.

What did you hear about Canada, Panama, Greenland, and Mexico before he was elected? I’m betting some votes may have went the other way with those kind of promises. And let’s talk about the economy and energy. Under Biden the US became the largest oil producers in the World. And the economy? Grocery, gas, and automobile prices still going through the roof. People are still going to have to pay taxes on their SS and tips/OT. Not seeing anything coming down the pike to help. Not even a mention on day one.

Rebuilding the military. What? by Reducing Blackhawk helicopter crews to 3 and causing mid air collisions in civilian air space. Wonder what other rebuilding programs in the Military are going to cause death and destruction of US civilians.

Men in women sports…lol… huge priority there. Geez. Besides Trump could write an executive order to eliminate that at anytime, but he hasn’t. Another false promise.
