According to your link trump has a 53% approval rating as of now. What it doesn't mention is that at this same point in Biden's presidency he had a 57% approval rating.

There have been conflicting reports on whether President Donald Trump was booed at Sunday's Super Bowl, although clips show the Republican was cheered by the crowd that night.

Newsweek has contacted the White House for comment via email outside of regular working hours.

The generally warm receptions Trump receives at major events shows just how much American mainstream culture has shifted in his favor over the past decade. Throughout his first term Trump clashed with major sporting stars, especially over policies they described as racist, and the Philadelphia Eagles famously did not visit the White House after their 2018 Super Bowl win.

The tide has turned in recent years. Athletes perform the "Trump Dance" to celebrate victories, the NFL dropped its "End Racism" sign from Super Bowl end zones, and Taylor Swift, a music superstar who endorsed Trump's rival for presidency, was booed at the game


He was seen saluting while standing next to his eldest daughter, Ivanka Trump, as Jon Batiste sang the national anthem before the game.

Clips posted on social media show large cheers from the crowd when Trump appeared on the stadium jumbotron.

Trump also shared footage on Truth Social appearing to show the crowd cheering for him.



There were also some suggestions that there were boos from the crowd when the camera panned to Trump in the stands. Nick Field, author at election website Decision Desk HQ, posted on X, formerly Twitter, that Trump "got booed during the national anthem" at the Super Bowl.


A video posted by the NFL on YouTube suggests there may have been some boos when Trump appeared on the screen, but they were largely drowned out by the cheers.


Majid Padellan, better known as the popular left-wing social media personality Brooklyn Dad Defiant, shared a clip of Trump appearing on screen on X, formerly Twitter. The video Padellan posted shows the president being cheered by the crowd, while he boos at the television screen himself.



A YouTube video from the left-wing media outlet Occupy Democrats also said that Trump was booed by some members of the crowd when he walked onto the field before the game.

The Occupy Democrats host added that the video purportedly showing Trump being booed is "hard to hear" as the clip is not "very good."


It is unclear from other clips showing Trump on the field Sunday whether he was booed by members of the crowd.

The Occupy Democrats video also cites messages from people online claiming that Trump was booed in bars showing the Super Bowl when he appeared on screen. The claims could not be verified by Newsweek.

Singer Taylor Swift, the girlfriend of Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, received a negative reaction from the crowd during the Super Bowl. Video widely shared on social media shows booing as Swift was shown on the screen at Caesars Superdome, followed by a look of bewilderment from the musician.

Trump later attacked Swift, who endorsed former Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2024 election, on Truth Social after she was booed by the crowd.

This is as much art as science, there all all sorts of ways to break things down. Bottom line if the government wants to cut the overhead rate from 27-28% to 15% the definition of overhead will be challenged.
