and for those not aware yet, Russia is having massive problems with logistics and resupplying their troops....within their OWN borders. and it has nothing to do with ukraine and everything to do with kremlin incompetency.
Communism/ Socialism doing what it does. It's non sustainable.
Just reading this thread is pretty scary the way some of you are talking.
What was said on this thread that denotes communism?

My clicky finger won't allow me to "like" that so I'll respond... I've heard that a few times in my life but thought it was a joke. That's pretty gross. You have to save your poop, dry it in your yard and turn it in or you get fined. Wow.
Yeah man, check out the awesome documentary Michael Palin did. He's a great journalist.
A lot of their farming techniques there are horribly inefficient, with more than a lot of it being done by hand. This segues into all the repeated famine issues they experience. It's nuts. Palin actually visits one of the hand-kept farms in the documentary. It's some older woman who looks emaciated, squatting down to till the field with a hand-hoe.
Meanwhile, a tell-all from KJI's former chef talked about how he was constantly sent around the world to find things like caviar from Iran, mangoes from southeast Asia, fish from Tokyo, and I think he even did a McDonald's burger run to Beijing.
Quite the disparity.

“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”
I will give him credit that he did go after Putin somewhat about how he needs to stop the war or take more damage, although threatening tariffs on someone who accounts for .14% of US exports isn't exactly pulling an effective lever.
However, he lost all that credit, and then some more when he went after Zelensky for how "he could/should have prevented the war." I mean, come on...

Trump said he's negotiating a ceasefire with Putin now.
There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.
Well anyone with a brain knew this was coming. Anyone with a brain knew, regardless of what Trump might tell the media, he would fawn and prostrate himself to Putin and use USAs influence to Putin's gain.

As much as I dislike our SecDef coming out right at 'go' and saying "well shucks, I guess you got us there"... we've let our foot off the gas for far too long to turn around and decide to do what's right. The US (and NATO) has caved to pressure from groups sympathetic to Russia and slowed support to Ukraine... this started well before Trump came in office.
I'm not going to let myself get all worked up over where the Ukraine situation is heading because the GOP has been laying the groundwork for a Russian gains for years.

Is that because of political decisions or because most people today have the attention span of a gnat and get war fatigue or news fatigue very quickly? I mean maybe one thing Zelenski has excelled at is keeping the attention somewhat on Ukraine even if its with a fading light.

"Hegseth’s warning to Ukraine that it should abandon its NATO bid and its push to reclaim all Russian-occupied territory sent a stark message to Kyiv, signaling that the Trump administration’s view of a potential settlement is remarkably close to Moscow’s vision. Putin has declared that any peace deal must ensure that Ukraine gives up its NATO ambitions and withdraws its troops from the four regions that Russia annexed in September 2022 but never fully captured."
Boneheaded. Peace will not last long.

I'm just wondering who is surprised that the trump administration is actually siding with Russia on what a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine should look like? Because anyone who is hasn't been paying attention isn't.

It's just me being realistic. I don't trust a GOP govt to suddenly grow a spine in front of Russia, nor do I expect NATO to find some initiative and break with whatever the current US admin is doing.

God what is with you conservatives and trying to blame this conflict on anyone else but Putin? DC did not start this war, nor did DC start the war in Gaza. what a bunch of dishonest losers conservatives have become.
I'm so heated right now. our leaders won't continue to support Ukraine with military aid that ALREADY didnt have us putting boots on the ground, but are willing to put boots on ground and spill both middle eastern and American blood to clear out Palestinians. We look and sound like monsters right now, and a bunch of cowards. Our leaders won't stand up to a 2nd rate power like Russia, but are willing to bully Palestinians with nothing to their name, under the guise of national security.
absolutely pathetic.

Wow! Just saw Trump’s presser on Ukraine. What a PUTIUN CUCK he is. You’ve got to be kidding me. And trash ass MAGA supported this just like german nazi sheeple. Shame on you all. History will never forget this. I hope the reaper takes his punk ass sooner rather than later and I don’t care how it happens. Never been so ashamed of America.
Not that you would get it, but I have explained ad nauseum what a linch pin Ukraine is in Europe. Putin knew that when he invaded.
We had/still have the chance to open a lasting partnership with an eastern European country who historically was not one of our allies/was one of our adversaries. We also spend way more money than you know trying to stay ahead of Russia in terms of capability. In this case, we have been giving legacy and/or outdated materiel to a B team who has been using it to trounce Russia. They could have really kicked their arses if we had just let them off the leash from the get-go. That was a dumb decision to keep them on a leash from the beginning. Anyhow, our investment in Ukraine has paid off a lot of dividends into depleting our top military adversary. It will take them a loooooooong time to even get back to where they were before they invaded UKR.
Now, please do me a favor and tell me how the UKR investment was a worse idea than prospectively occupying Gaza and actually putting our boots on the ground...

Russia was teetering toward economic collapse by prolonging this and we just threw them a potential lifeline.
We didn't throw them a lifeline - as one Former head of the UK Army and Def Secratary just commented ... Trump just throw away the two most powerful pieces of leverage and negotiating positions. Right from the start. What a giant dildo he is. Either a Dildo or a Putin pumpet.... or both.
The more things change the more they stay the same.

Really!!!! Then why ask for so much money. Americans hard earned tax money. You ask me the plan was to bank roll the US in this war.
Just wait to see how much it costs to fight a war when Putin tries to invade NATO countries now that trump is rewarding them for invading Ukraine. People like you can't see the forest for the trees. You applaud rewarding Putin for attacking a U.S. ally. Well done Comrade. Putin thanks you.
And just imagine, you all call the dems communists.

Are you trying to say the US was (at least partially) responsible for Russia annexing Crimea and then following up with a full-scale invasion?
That's almost as dumb as whining about the cost of sending soon-to-be-decommissioned equipment to Ukraine and wanting to send troops to Middle East.
