For sure. And he looks like he could do it blindfolded half the time.

Plus the added context of him being drafted as 'just a running QB' and "you just have to contain him in the pocket and make him throw to the middle of the field". So impressive.

I would much rather it be us than them but at least Hank may get his shot at OC.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

So how much over the minimum would you want to see him? Just poking you in the ribs man.

If you meant wouldn't, I don't really want him back at all, but if at minimum I wouldn't pound the table against the move.

He's a solid-if-unspectacular contributor. Nobody is going to pound the table for him but good teams have guys like him sprinkled throughout their rosters.

Solid against the run, plus has a cool surname. The wife would giggle when the TV announcer said his name. Bring him home!

Just kidding, although it’s sad to say that we can’t afford him: a UFA is the wiser choice.

Day prior to having to pay that bonus, the plan changes

I don't know. If you are likely going to have to pay him anyways, might as well have a solid backup in case of injury. They drafted Penix after signing Cousins. They seem to value depth at the position. Penix is "cheap."

I thought Shakir was more of a possession WR/role-player.

Chase isn't going anywhere, and Higgins is more of a budget WR1. I don't think even comparing Higgins to Shakir is an apples-apples comparison.

I was looking more at the timing of the deals or lack thereof. They're likely only going to cost more the longer you wait with the cap going up. If you wait till the last hour with high end players, the tag more or less becomes the floor.

My understanding (this is entirely based on talking heads throughout the season and after the SB), is that the Chiefs are going to be buyers in terms of Oline this off-season.

Problems up front got exposed on the biggest stage. Could see them making a run at Ronnie Stanley if his medical checks out. FA market isn't very deep past that at OT. Cam Robinson, Alaric Jackson, Dan Moore? I wouldn't want any of those guys protecting Mahomes' blind side. ...Jed? Things suddenly clicking for him there would be very Browns.

Hope they don't take Conerly with their pick in the first. Think he'd be great for us at 33.

Apparently too many fans were losing interest in the QBs in the draft.
