Today is the day it is no longer game day Sunday. I looked forward to going to the games in Cleveland when I went up and looked forward to heading to the bar around 11:30 to get my bar stool in the proper position for watching the game. What to do???

I hate today also Peen....it's going to really sting when the Chargers kick the snot out of the Titans and we know darn well that the Browns would have been a better opponent.

On the NFL front, yes, today is a bad day. But I'll spend most of it cleaning up the basement for tomorrow's game. There's always tomorrow.

I agree. It's funny how, in a season when you're making a playoff run, suddenly we fall short and it's over - the end came so fast. It's not like when we were 4-12 - when the season dragged on and on and we were crawling to the finish line. Screw Dungy and those damn Colts.

Should have seen the look on my wifes face last night when she found out I won't be leaving the house to go watch the game, giving her the house to her all afternoon.

Last week..We were sitting together at CBS...eating dogs.. drinking beer...watching our team win its 7th home game...And wishing for a colts win.... Today I`m drinking coffee and posting on here...And will watch the games.... I could always come down and caddy for you....As long as you don`t mind me handing you a rod and reel at the hole near the water...

We should be just getting up at the hotel in southern Califonia. Heading to the stadium to watch our Brownies kick some Charger butt!

I'm taking it as a bye week. I have yet to re-watch the Browns/49er's game. I am saving it for next Sunday at 1 PM

+1!
My girlfriend pensively asked last night "But... you're still going to the bar to watch the games, right?" Sorry, hun, my lousy carcass will be littering the house all the ding dong day.

Normally I'm ok with the playoffs because we would have been long eliminated.... this year sucks... I'm watching these teams KNOWING that we could compete with them... I hope our team is as ticked as I am.... on another note... I almost hit Mario Williams this morning while I was biking... he was out on a run... I think there would be several people in Houston mad at me if I would have hurt him

Man you ain't kiddin' When the season started I couldn't believe it was finally here. We'd waited so long. Now it's over and again I can't believe it. Thank God for Purp and his rescuing all of us from a fate worse than death, (the new official board). He set this board up without skipping a beat and in that way we never actually lost the original DawgTalk. That allows us to keep up with the Browns even in the offseason. That's something the majority of Browns fans can't do and have no idea how good it is. If I had to wait for the TV, newspapers and radio for Browns information I'd go nutz like I did for so many years. I'd buy papers for weeks after the season ended just in hopes of finding some reporter writing something, anything about the team. The best thing about this offseason is that we go into it winners! Some reporter said that there's something about double digit wins that says we are contenders. That's how I feel. We don't go into the offseason hoping that this time we'll get something done that will get us a winning record next year. It's always been next year. Next year something good will happen. Well, this year is over and already something good has happened. AND, we don't have to watch the Steelers go any farther into the postseason. Nor the Rats nor cincy. We tied for the division lead, swept the Rats and are closing the gap between the Browns and the perennial contenders. As for what to do now? We simply make all the FO's decisions for them as to who will QB the team, who to get in FA and who to draft. I know that will help them a lot and we're just the crew to get 'r done.

On a day like this I have to push myself to feel better. I was a little down but just the thought of those Steelers fans crying into their terrible snot rags cheered me right up! Thank You, Jacksonville! BTW the Burger fumble /sack to end that game was priceless.

Going to go eat with my wife and family, then taking down the Christmas lights unless the rain starts coming down.
Yeah, I know. I wasn't ready for our season to end at all this year. It was a fun season for sure.

My feelings exactly. I've kind of been pouting all day.
Not necessarily because it's Sunday but because we'd be playing today.
I think Lamp mentioned how it all came to a close so quick...man, ain't that the truth. With 2 games left we had a chance to take the division...2 games later and we aren't even in the playoffs. Ouch...
It's going to take me a while to get back to normal...
LOL - The Rish will be upset with this news as well. KS just doesn't prioritize winning...

Clothes shopping with the wife/gf is 1000X worse I always get stuck hanging out by the dressing rooms (which are always in the underwear/bra area so u look like a perv) waiting for her to ask me my opinions on her outfits. And it can never be one or two, no, it has to be 6 so the process takes forever. I hate it so!

I don't mind it at all......here's a Brad Paisley song:
Waitin' On A Woman Don Sampson/Wynn Varble (ASCAP)/(BMI)
Sittin' on a bench at West Town Mall He sat down in his overalls and asked me You waitin' on a woman I nodded yeah and said how 'bout you He said son since nineteen fifty-two I've been Waitin' on a woman
When I picked her up for our first date I told her I'd be there at eight And she came down the stairs at eight-thirty She said I'm sorry that I took so long Didn't like a thing that I tried on But let me tell you son she sure looked pretty Yeah she'll take her time but I don't mind Waitin' on a woman
He said the wedding took a year to plan You talk about an anxious man, I was nervous Waitin' on a woman And then he nudged my arm like old men do And said, I'll say this about the honeymoon, it was worth it Waitin' on a woman
And I don't guess we've been anywhere She hasn't made us late I swear Sometimes she does it just 'cause she can do it Boy it's just a fact of life It'll be the same with your young wife Might as well go on and get used to it She'll take her time 'cause you don't mind Waitin' on a woman
I've read somewhere statistics show The man's always the first to go And that makes sense 'cause I know she won't be ready So when it finally comes my time And I get to the other side I'll find myself a bench, if they've got any I hope she takes her time, 'cause I don't mind Waitin' on a woman
Honey, take your time, cause I don't mind Waitin' on a woman

Yes today has been tough. Especially watching the Titans being up on the Chargers knowing that we could have very well beaten the Chargers. But at least we're angry because we know we could have competed in the playoffs instead of just being angry that the Browns sucked for another year.
Next year we'll be playing at this time. And hopefully with Haynesworth anchoring our d-line.
Bottom Line there is finally a light at the end of the tunnel and we're coming up on it very quickly!

It's especially tough watching the Chargers play so poorly.
Oh well I can atleast take solace in the fact the Buckeyes are playing tomorrow.

We always go grocery shopping together. I enjoy going. I gotta eat you know, and sometimes there's things you walk past and say, "mmm that looks good. Let's make that for Sunday."
My wife never cooks hardly at all, so she may not come home with much.
